They never toured my country once in almost half a century of existence, so I bit the bullet, saved my pennies and flew to North America from Melbourne three times just to see them. That's the kind of loyalty and dedication that band inspired in its fans....

@@Roddrummer That’s hard to believe. I wonder why? Cuz they obviously have to be at least popular enough in your country, but then again maybe not. That’s just fucked up! ✌🏼

As many of you know Geddy is a wine collector. During my professional driving days I was the lucky chosen one in our company to take him out on a wine surfing trip that day during their tour in town. I drove him to several wine specialty stores. We filled up the trunk to the max!

I met Alex Lifeson before a show and had my photo taken with him. He’s got a great sense of humor, we were joking back and forth about something which I can’t remember what it was. Very down to earth guy. My cousin is a bass player and rush fanatic so he’s standing next to geddy and he has the Polaroid that was taken when we met them.

In Geddy's book, My Effin Life, which is a great book, he mentions that he was introduced to Alex by HHOF Steve Shutt, who won stanley cups with Habs. Also , in Geddy's class, for many years, in elementary, was Rick Moranis. For me, being a Canadian, massive fan and growing up right where they are from,
    that's pretty awesome.
RUSH is the greatest live band ever.

Their original LP was a standout for what my fellow Canadians were putting out at the time. By the time 2112 came out, we teenagers were hooked. Enough to go see the 2112 tour. It became the only album worthy of air band performances from that point on…

I never liked Rush when they were on the scene back in the 70's. I thought they were confused. They sounded like a heavy metal band playing mediocre fusion music. But then I was asked along to see the vapor trails tour and they were amazing. It was refreshing to see three guys kick ass without backing tracks or samples. Geddy was all over that stage. He absolutely killed it.
