Arguably one of the best movie endings ever - plot-wise, photography, soundtrack, perfect lighting + sound moment on that last slow mo shot of " Lowell Bergman has left the building".

Obscenely brilliant, perhaps alongside Shawshank, the greatest film EVER. Adult, proper, nuanced, powerful, it has it all. This ending is just ridiculous, no words, no words needed just Mann on top of his game and this is his best. Oh and that song ........ that mix, just gets better
This is one of the best movies I've ever seen. In many ways, it's like the classic movie "12 Angry Men". The acting, directing, and writing are all top-notch, and so the story just came out so well; it was SO convincing and SO exciting to watch, all in the words. It could've worked just as well as a drama on theater. That it had beautiful handheld cinematography and one of the best soundtracks I've heard didn't hurt either. It's simply excellent filmmaking - nothing more, nothing less.
Yeah it's one of my favourites with Heat, Traffic and No country for old men. I hope they release this in 4k. In the UK you can't even get the insider on blu ray.
what a fantastic film .great ending. it is such an under rated film. i think it is one of micheal manns best right up there with heat. the soundtrack is excellent like in all hes films. crowe and pacino were excellent
Ja, ich verehre diesen Regisseur Michael Mann und jetz muss ich feststellen, dass diese Musik auch noch von meiner über alles geliebten Musikgruppe stammt .... das nenne ich Glück!

not to tell a master what . . . but i do think it would have been nice to maybe have had a bunch of people cramming IN through the doors as Pacino walks out. i know it's the Hero Shot and all, but it seems to me like kind of a wasted opportunity, only having the doors to Big Business Corporate News be un-hurried at peak hours.
I maybe in the minority with a personal bias, but I think big tobacco got off too easy, yeah for them it's ' a drop in a bucket ' alright. The settlement shouldn't have even been an option for them: their products destroy too many lives and they don't care! I wonder if they'd have the same attitude if one of their own family members started suffering from their products, if they'd use a multi billion dollar check to settle that issue, it probably wouldn't matter regardless.
*Pacino walks out of the building and pops his collar*
Like a boss!
just watched the movie. great scene, great music to go along.
Reminded me of The Matrix when Neo exits a phone booth and flies away. So cool!

Exactly !
The same year, by the way.
He's the boss
All of Michael Mann's film's are fantastic, the sound, look, everything.
Al pacino always defines his own space in the movie
one of the most basic scenes a director could think of.. and Al Pacino turns it into a CLASSIC!

Every time I leave a room this music plays.
😂🤣👍👍👍
It must be very often, then… 😅
@@LeoCeka hell yeah 😂
my last day at work today. Was listing to that song while walking out the building.

Who remembers this scene from the very end of the 1999 Al Pacino movie "The Insider"? Great use of Massive Attack's Safe From Harm on the soundtrack.
cool!
nice one
Epic.
Just awesome! I always remember this score as the Revolving Door score. Al was always a class apart.
The style is distinctively Mann.

Yeah, « Heat » is Michael Mann’s masterpiece !

RIP Plummer. A master in supporting roles, and this one instantly sprung to mind. What a fantastic talent, thanks for all the entertainment and joy.
Something brilliant about movie endings where the main character walks away. This scene and the ending of Black Rain
My God! I remember watching this masterpiece back in 2001 and this ending got stuck in my head for years and years. Michael is the man!
Back of Al Pacino is cool !!
Amazing song awesome ending....personally my best
Al Swag Pacino
He is such a PIMP in this movie!

This is one of my favorite movie endings to a great great movie
Films like this inspired me to work in the film industry.
Or the big tobaco!
Badass music
Indeed
got the soundtrack, it´s really good!
This is the moment which got me started on the journey in search for some great music from, you know who. Ty for putting this up.

Al pacino the boss 🔥🔥
This song is essentially a redo of a tune called 'Spectrum' by fusion drummer Billy Cobham.
I loved it
Massive Attack - Safe From Harm (Perfecto mix)
start from 6 mins 50 secs. you’re welcome
Thanks!
Magnífico final para una película grande
I dont watch that show and never realized they used the Teardrop song. Very cool.
@mareksmardz it's safe from harm (perfecto version). there's no version without the 6 minutes of vocals at the beginning.
Yeah you're right, the track can be found on the soundtrack (obviously).
0:50 that's the walk I do after taking a massive dump on the floor of the public restroom.

I don´t know, my dad bought it when the movie came out! I´il answer later, i can give you a link. :)
This is how Argo should’ve ended by stating that the Canadians really did deserve more credit for the Canadian Caper.
According to a related website, Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne have put their hands in this rmx.
Mann directed a docudrama like film like a thriller
This isn't the original version...anyone know what kind of remix this is?
Perfecto mix
