    let them play in USA instead of ATENEO..... UAAP has weak players .. compared to NCAA div 1 teams .. or even div 2

      If they get offers from US NCAA colleges, then they should stay there, pero kung wala, the UAAP will always be an option. FYI, Zain Mahmood already committed to UST and Jayden Harper might commit to UP.

      4 Years, 1 playing year left. He was a rookie nung Season 82.

    Dapat sa mga homegrown talents mas mag-focus. Iba talaga kapag ang core ng roster e simula pa lang e may chemistry na. Daming pwedeng i-harvest sa Ateneo HS. Wag ng maghanap ng Fil-Am players.

      Kristian Porter, the younger brother of Kristoffer Porter (sorry, same name nila actually) will most probably join the Seniors team in UAAP Season 87. He’s really the only one probably good enough sa Eaglets team to make the seniors lineup. The rest are either still too young (Ziv Espinas is only in his first year in high school) or not good enough right now.

    What comps would you have for Zain and Harper? Would also be nice to have a formidable wing scorer. Haven't had one since Thirdy left.

      Agree on needing a formidable wing scorer like Thirdy. Just my initial thoughts but Zain reminds me of a taller and bigger John Verayo (circa 90s Blue Eagle), who can both play inside and has a decent shot outside, although a bit undersizes for their position. As for Harper, haven’t really seen enough clips of him to have a comp, but his body type and wingspan reminds me of a taller and more athletic Gian Mamuyac, remains to be seen if he has the same motor as Mamu though.

      Isn't UAAP limiting the recruitment of foreign players? Why not recruit from the grassroot talents who wanted to pursue college edu???

    • @hoopshubph
      @hoopshubph  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No limit on the recruitment of Fil-Foreigners, the limit (only 1 per team) is on Foreign Student Athletes, those who do not have Filpino blood.

    • @hoopshubph
      @hoopshubph  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It’s a combination of both really, all great sports programs have great coaches and recruit great players.

      That is a dumb assertion to make. Any system needs both obviously. LaSalle has been mediocre the past 2 seasons under Pumaren even though they have a talented lineup. Queue in Coach Topex who has created a system that benefits the talent of each and every player he has. He made KQ the center piece of his offense, breaking out this season and will most probably win MVP. By doing this guys like Nonoy and Nelle have all the space they need to operate, hence the reason why they've been so effective especially in the 2nd round. They're also playing at a much faster pace compared to Pumaren.
      Tab, has had the luxury of good players, but his pedigree pushes his teams to play to the best of their abilities. Even this season... They just lost Forthsky and Anj.. they have a very young team. If this was another program I doubt that they're even sniffing the final 4 with the same roster.

    i thought Godslove nwabude is a shoo-in for the fsa slot. what's the height of de luna?

    • @hoopshubph
      @hoopshubph  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Bio says Matt is 6’3”, but he’s probably closer to 6’1” or 6’2” at most. Godslove already left the program and went to the US to finish high school (Mt. Zion Prep). Saw some tweets also that he already has some offers from D1 schools like West Virginia and Radford, so that probably means he’s not coming back to Ateneo.

      @@hoopshubph ah ok. how about mason's brother? wasn't he invited to play for the ateneo high?

    • @hoopshubph
      @hoopshubph  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not sure about being invited to study in Ateneo High School, but CJ is maybe Class of 2025, so maybe doesn’t make sense to come here and do residency for 1 year and play for the Eaglets. He’ll probably just join the seniors team once he graduates from high school in Australia.

      @@hoopshubph now that kai has officially lest the nest, i'm wondering about alogun. how tall is he? is he ready for the uaap wars?

    • @hoopshubph
      @hoopshubph  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Balogun has the height and the physical tools, but based on his first few UAAP games, looks like he needs more game experience. He looks slightly lost out there.
