Fitting a Quad Lock Weatherproof Wireless Motorcycle Charging Head - Honda CB125F

- In this video I show you how I go about fitting a Quad Lock Weatherproof Wireless Charging Head to my Honda CB125F Motorcycle. I needed a way to mount my Iphone to my handlebars for satnav duties but I'm not a fan of the massive handlebar mounts, instead opting for something more discreet low profile weatherproof wireless charging head from Quad Lock. I think the end result is fantastic, and keeps my phone out of harms way in the event of an accident. I use the weatherproof wireless charging head, waterproof 12v to usb smart adaptor, bar clamp medium, dual pivot small, vibration dampener, and an Iphone 12 Pro Max Mag Case...
This series will follow my progress from my CBT all the way to getting my full bike licence. Gaps along the way will be filled with product reviews for items I will use along the way to see what works and what doesn't, and what you really do need, and honestly don't need! You can also expect some beautiful rides out around the beautiful Isle of Wight where I call home, and shopping for my first 125cc motorcyle...

Looks well positioned there, and seems to fit in with the dials etc. I'm still not sure whether to go down the quadlock route, or to go for one of these specific satnav screens (like a carpuride), which uses android auto. Decisions, decisions.
Yes it actually works out great for me, it fits just how I wanted it. I did subsequently see the screens you can get and they look good too. Decisions indeed!
Got to love your enthusiasm mate 👍. Just a tip, if you have to remove any panels to fit another electrical device, don't refit them until you have tested that it works 🤔. Oh yeah, now that you have fitted a sat nav device does it mean that you will be venturing off the island? 🏍.
Thank you Keith, yes I did think that, after I had put the panels back on! Nothing solid planned on the mainland at this stage but who knows!
Yeah, I was wondering same thing, whether you'd be touring. I think half the fun, on a bike, is not having a specific route and thus take, many times, unpredictable turns. I'll use satnav in van/car, simply because I only drive for a specific reason whereas riding is for the enjoyment. And on that note, you seem to be getting alot better and more confident. It's a shame so many drivers don't have your conscientious road attitude.
@N269 I'd love to ride a bunch on the mainland. Perhaps later in the year when I'm done renovating my house! Weekends are stacked right now with that and family stuff. I'll get through it 🤣

Pretty much exactly how mines set up, only difference is mines the 12-24v hardwired model of the charging head.
Looks good on video recordings too tbh with maps showing.
That's good to know. Do you have issues with the battery draining with the hardwired version?
@@TwoWheelsTommy no drain, but if it was put direct to battery it would. The hardwired one has to go into a switched positive to only work when ignition is on where yours detects voltage in and will only switch on when it detects an input voltage is above a certain level.
