    Thank's Gregg! I'm pretty much new to understanding wifi. I don't stream anything. Just started to learn cause i looked into the Nighthawk m1100 for an alternative home and mobile device to cut the cord and save $. I'm talking to someone who is selling a AT&T unlocked Nighthawk with a AT&T unlimited data, no throttling, no cap simm card and a tweeked firestick with everything plus adapter delivered and setup for $400. I know i can plug directly into my TV or get a wifi 6 router for super fast speeds. What do you think??✌

  • @carsutube
    @carsutube 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Are the gigabit ports on the device capable of being individually turned off and on so that one does not have to keep plugging in and unplugging certain wired devices? According to TP-Link none of their routers have this capability which is surprising as my Orbi that is a couple years ago has it. This is not new technology from what I can see.

    • @AllOutNoobHater
      @AllOutNoobHater 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do not rely on your router to always give you the speed that your provider can push. Working for Spectrum, our speeds can go UP TO such and such speed. However, we guarantee those speeds over a wired connection out of the modem. Any router today, that has a 5G band, will at least go to 400Mbps or so. But if you have Gigabit or more, you need to get an AX/WiFi6 router to achieve those speeds over WiFi.

    • @lawsonfrazier
      @lawsonfrazier 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably not. Doesn't cover my 35oo SQ ft split level ranch. I have had mine since July 2019. Kind of wishing I had chosen differently. The app is somewhat simplistic and the range is underwhelming. Bios updates helped. The Anti Virus is nice. Certainly better than an AC router but I think you could get better range and more in depth less dumbed down interface with another brand.

      hah will it handle gigabit? are you kidding it will even handle way over the gigabit !, i currently have an older asus RT-AC66R i got over 5 yrs ago and even that can handle a gigabit , there is a youtube video showing it with giggabit service and i also have gigabit service and have gotten 840/905 speet tests so these newer routers are the future and thr are years ahead of the game so even if you ever get more than gigabit service these newer super routers will handle it and then some! ,m im just worried about the tp link ones some peopkle have been commenting that tp link does not offer after support and they dont update firmware often so i may have tio lokk into that as i just bought their biggest router too.

    30mpbs while hard wired in or on wifi. Paying for gb Internet. TP-Link support says their device works fine. The app says 1gb speeds. But speed tests on any device read 10-30mbps. Tech support said call Xfinity. Hard wired into the Xfinity modem I get gb speeds. So the tplink isn't working as advertised. No better then stock Xfinity equipments. Waste of money for me.

    Hey i just got the tplink ax11000 monster for my new gigabit service but i hear comments to not buy tp link trash due to no after paurchase support or no firmware updates for 2 years? i currently also have an older asus RT-AC66R they say handles up to 1 gig speeds i did see up to 800 on it with verizon gigabit... i guess i can try it and return it or should i get the top asus router since ive had an asus for at least 5 yrs or more?

      I have the AX11000 and I just got a new Firmware 2 days ago. From 1.03 to 1.04. So that was since last year September. So they do update. The only thing I did not get working is IFTTT. It seems not to recognise the router somehow. But after complaining about it, they are working on it. I have got many Emails from them about it. Great router. Stable and powerful. I looked at the Asus as well but the TP link is better. More Lan ports too. And has both Wireless and LAN access control.
      Is not on the Asus. Great range. I only use the AX band now.

    FYI This router is NOT WiFi 6.
    It is only 802.11ax. The main feature missing is WPA3

    • @AllOutNoobHater
      @AllOutNoobHater 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      WPA3 is NOT a main feature. It is currently an optional certification for Wi-Fi CERTIFIED devices. Over time, it will become required when more adoption takes place.
      This is literally on the page for WPA3 on Wi-Fi Alliance.
      AX/WiFi6 is special and new because it has OFDMA, 1024 QAM, Target Wake Time, and transfer speeds up to 11,000MB/s.
