    Been using this router for 6 months best router I’ve used so far on the third firmware update was the best. On a gig plan for my internet I have 30 devices on WiFi including 6 security cameras and it doesn’t slow down.

      Hi I’m with spectrum 1gb plan have the same router and only getting like 200-300 upload and like 27 download. Then they saying it’s not capable to achieve speeds higher then 400 gb when I’m clearly on a 1gig plan. I don’t understand and I’m not far from the router only a couple feet. I thought u can get over a 1,000 mbps on this router on 5 ghz and over a 1,0000 on 2.4 ghz? Or they lieing. And should I switch to AT&T fiber 1gig? If u do how can u use your router on AT&T fiber internet instead of they gateway?

    • @camsteremail
      @camsteremail 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@itztune5915 most I’ve gotten on the gig plan is 800 MB’s you also need to have a WiFi 6 Device also have your latest firmware installed. The second firmware update almost bricked the router but the third was is the saving grace. I’m also upgrading to fiber since it’s much more consistent than coaxial.

    Wonder why you avoid testing the upload speed,,, is it because it fell on its face, like mine does,,, I can get full gig speed down but am lucky to get 150 upload,, which is very noticeable when I have a few clients streaming from my plex server

    I thought this was a good router until the WAN port failed just 6 months out of warranty. I must say that TP-Link support is really bad, they are not interested in repairing either under warranty or at all. It was not cheap at $540 aud, they suggested I take advantage of sales and purchase another. I don't think 3yr 6months is long enough for a device this expensive and with technology being where it is these days. I won't risk buying another if it's only going to last 3years, they refuse to to anything outside of warranty. I will try another brand, there a plenty of other tech companies that have much more reliable equipment. If you are thinking of buying one of these just be aware that 3 years is all they give you. That's not good enough for me.
