If you struggle to leave music try with any kind of background noise you can get by. Podcasts, E-Books, Interviews, lectures, even simple nature sounds can help you to achieve this goal. If you crave music once in a while, try acapella, but I usually recommend quranic verses or hums more, since there are lyrics in those acapellas from the original song that may contain bad meanings. Since music is everywhere, like movies, stores, even on the street, try to ignore it as best as possible or wear noise cancelling gadgets.
You will know you achieved a lot the moment you feel geniunly annoyed by songs and music around you. You will find yourself to rather want to mute it down. You probably will also be a bit shocked too, bc that's so unusual of how you were when you used to listen to music. It will also feel more peaceful, your mood will get more balanced too since there is no audio that plays and manipulates your emotions so fast and easily. You also find ways to find your tranquility in other more beautiful ways like salah or by gaining wisdom through own curiosities and hobbies. Silence will not feel scary anymore. And you train yourself to control your troubling thoughts more. Learning in how to control them here and there (not easy, but possible with time) Your head will be a more silent place, there are no stuck loops of open tabs of random piece of music in your head that haunts u for days. Instead snippets of lectures or random quotes of people pop up, or a random task you still wanted to do. That's actually so silly and fascinating.
There is definitely a beneficial side. You don't have to start big, do it in small steps, it's the intention that counts. May Allah guide you

What about choir and choral singing music? For example there is an Irish group that I like that have mostly vocal/choral/ singing. However they have some musical instruments occasionally. However where they do have musical instruments, they are vary minimally used in a vary minimalist way with calm and gentle melodies and play traditional folk songs with heavy emphasis on vocals. They do have musical instruments but again only vary minimally used as background with gentle melodies.

It’s easy to leave music because there are endless things to replace it with on top of Quran with tajweed.
Even when I didn’t agree with the haram of music I alway said “Allah knows best” and always prayed that he’d open my eyes if it is indeed haram.
Overtime music started feeling claustrophobic and like a prison.
I gave up decades of music making skills and Hamdoulah i feel so free these days.
On top of tajweed there are endless nasheeds, audiobooks, documentaries, podcasts and many more beneficial things to listen to in the background.
Constant learning becomes more attainable when you don’t fill your ears and heart with the idleness of music (and I was mostly listening to instrumental as I already didn’t enjoy the lyrics of most songs due to the repetitiveness)

I remembered hearing or reading from somewhere, not from the Qur'an, that music is a gift from Satan to anyone who's willing to accept it, irregardless of one's belief in whichever religion or even a freethinker... That's also the reason behind why majority will always considers someone who can compose good music, good songs and/or sings well as talented, cause it's a gift...

I don't listen to music but Sheyh instead of giving examples of others you should give your proofs from hadith or Quran to convince people. Also even this program has used music at the end of the video... There is music everywhere nowadays... İn commercials, in movies, in shopping centres....
The women of Mekke and Madina used def to play and celebrate weddings and Eid... Our Prophet allowed it...
How can you prove that it is haram? What is your proof...?

  • @sniperlizard4192
    @sniperlizard4192 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yes it is haram cause one of the sayings of our Prophet peace be upon him is that there will come a time when my nation will make the use of musical instruments and alchohol permissible for themselves.

when u tell them that they just say "its only haram if u MIX it with alcohol + dancing and stuff, but music by itself is halal", so if they tell u this show them this hadith its even stronger evidence:
Narrated Aisha: Abu Bakr came to my house while two small Ansari girls were singing beside me the stories of the Ansar concerning the Day of Buath. And they were not singers. Abu Bakr said protestingly, "Musical instruments of Satan in the house of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) !" It happened on the `Id day and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "O Abu Bakr! There is an `Id for every nation and this is our `Id."
      Sahih al-Bukhari 952
abu bakr literally said music is the instrument of the DEVIL, and notice how prophet mohamed DID NOT deny what he says, but instead he told him the duff was an exception because it was eid (the 2 girls were playing the duff on eid)

Def is also a musical instrument. We are allowed to celebrate Eid and weddings with music and dancing provided there is no mixing of men and women. Also the words of the songs is also very important. İt should not contain anything haram...

@@SuperSonic-9999 AsSalam Alaikum brother or sister the hadith that i mentioned is talking about those muslims who will make permissible this kind of music which is forbidden in Islam. Not of that which have been made permissible in our Religion. You are absolutely right i was only talking about the haram music thats all.

yeah yeah ofcourse i agree, but i was saying that if they say something like "music is only haram if its mixed with alcohol, otherwise its halal if its pure music without anything" this is many muslims' interpretation of the hadith, so if they say this just show them the hadith of 2 eids where abu bakr literally said music is the instrument of the devil

Music today that you all watch on mtv are absolutely haram.. The videos ... The lyrics ... If you pay attentions are shameless,..
Music is haram when it became your religion which many people think it is.. I know people who said " music is my religion " it is next to : shirk ... When you replace God with something .
Music is haram when you listen to it for hours and hours and days that you forget salah, you neglect qur' an.. You dont gain new knowledge of Islam.. You dont take care of yourself.. You dont help your parents when they needed your help around the house..
I wish you all can listen to full hour of Ustadz Adi Hidayat from indonesia ' he did a comprehensive research about this issues - at the end it is your choice-
I used to listen to a lot of music.. But now as i dive deeper into Islam - i find myself listening less & less to music - for me this is a huge progress- i know some of you will judge me- but you need to understand that every one struggle is different- i am insha Allah on my way to better myself.

Leaders are corrupt and only suit thier own agenda. Sunak said about a ceasefire only a few hours after BP said it was was having difficulty shipping through the Red Sea because these companies fund genocide people are making a stand and stopping them from shopping to other countries so now he's all about a ceasefire. Take a look at Ukraine not a question who was innocent and that they were bombing innocents bht when it comes to the arabs they are dehumanised by the news.
