    I've come across your lessons only a few months ago, and I thoroughly enjoy them. I've spent my entire university career as a teacher of Arabic as a foreign language (now retired), but I still learn things from you. It happens that I found your broadcast when researching online venues for teaching Qur'an to believers who do not know Arabic. Most of them were exceedingly dull talking heads with physical blackboards. Yours are exactly the type of thing that I had envisioned myself doing as a retirement project. But now, it seems that I don't have to, because you have already done it superbly well. Allah will certainly reward you for your great service to our brothers and sisters, the majority of Muslims who did not grow up with Arabic. As to unfortunate Christianized expressions that we might use but shouldn't, I just heard myself saying "Oh man!" (when witnessing scenes of the ongoing genocide in Gaza). But I caught myself, because of your advice. This expression began as a reference to the myth of the risen Christ, deriving from the expression 'Man alive". It's kind of a muted blasphemy like 'darn' and 'gosh' and 'jeez,' as you point out. So, we shouldn't be saying "Oh man," either. Or for that matter "Man alive" (which I think is a bit old fashioned nowadays). جزاك الله خيرا

      JazakaAllah kheir for this because I say “oh man “ quite a lot…would saying “man” also not be advisable?

      @davidw3567 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not an expert in this by any means, but in my opinion, saying "man" by itself, say, when addressing someone (and it doesn't matter if it is actually a man), is probably ok, because it is used in reference to the person addressed, not a reference to the myth of the risen Christ. That is, you are not invoking or swearing by the Christ by saying it. @@SisterinIslam87

      I wouldn't say it is wrong as such, only best for Muslims to avoid using it when there are better options. I'd never thought of it until I heard this lesson. But I have known for a long time - I think since my twenties or before - that the reference is to the myth of the man Jesus who was said to have arisen from the dead. Since writing the response to the lesson, I've heard myself saying it several times. But I'm also consciously saying "Ya Allah" instead, in the hope of breaking the habit, with the help of Allah. @@jevinday

    Just to share a bit of help for people who will make the effort to stop using bad words
    Please dont beat yourself up when you use these terms
    2. Dont try to suppress it ... This is similar to creating a dam that is simply holding thw water back
    What you must do is, whenever you catch yourself saying any of the wrong terms...
    Immediately follow it up with the proper thing to say as recommended in the video
    You must begin to do this every time
    That way, youre not suppressing anything. Theres no built up force
    Rather, youre making your brain associate the correct terms with the same instances in which you use the wrong terms
    Before you know it, you would see that whenever one of the trigger events happen, you would literally have both the good and the bad terms on your tongue,
    That means, the urge for one wouldn't be stronger than the other
    From then on you can start choosing to say the good word until it becomes stronger than the bad
    Allah know best
    If you find this helps, like (👍) the comment so that more brothers and sisters can see it as they watch this helpful video

      @hamdi744 "he is a great scientist". Great is the superlative degree of good, so what makes "good" a good word and "greatest" (though is not a correct word grammatically) makes is bad? We all know that Allah is the greatest. But it's just an idea showing that he is greatest of all time *of the people that were in that profession*

    A person said "Allahu Akbar".
    A few seconds later they said "La ilaha illalah", then immediately afterwards said "La ilaha illa Anta subhanaka inni kuntu min-adh-zalimeen". After that said "SubhanAllah".
    This way 70,000 good deeds were earned and MashaAllah, it was you who earned them

      سبحان الله = subhan allah = Glory be to Allah
      You say it when you see something beautiful that god created or u can use it when u r surprises of something weird like ( Subhan allah how can people be that stupid ) -- > i mostly use it in that case 😂
      ماشاء الله = Mashallah = God willing
      You can use it when you are impressed by someone's beauty or when u see a little cute baby or anything that's beautiful in general.
      Like ( Mashallah you have beautiful eyes) or ( Mashallah you're baby is so cute ) or ( Mashallah you have a nice house )
      تبارك الله. = tabaraka allah = blessed be god
      Same as Mashallah and u can use them both in one sentence like ( Mashallah , tabaraka allah how beautiful! )
      الله أكبر = Allah akbar = Allah is the greatest
      Can be used in both positive and negative situations, we say it when someone accepts islam for example ( Allah the greatest guided this man or woman to islam )
      We use it when a disaster happens like when someone dies or an earthquake hits or something falls . It's like no matter what... Allah akbar , Allah is the greatest and is the only one that matters and he can do anything.

    • @yasminemadanifouatih
      @yasminemadanifouatih 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      لا حول و لا قوة الا بالله = La hawla wa la kowata ila billah = There is no power but from God
      we use it when annoyed or sad , it's can be considered as duaa too , like you are asking Allah to give you the strength to deal with something

    • @yasminemadanifouatih
      @yasminemadanifouatih 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So it's mostly prayers and dikr , whatever the situation is , it must remind you of Allah instead of leading you to curse or say something inappropriate .. and i think it's beautiful .
