Just built my soft wash setup. Do you start by opening one valve at a time to get it primed? If so, when you go to turn the bleach dial down after getting it primed, how do you know when it’s at that lower bleach concentration so that I’m not running 50/50 mix? For example, if I start the bleach valve open at 5 to get it primed, but need the dial on 2, how do I know when it’s ready to use so I’m not running with 6% bleach?

It depends on what percentage of SH you were using. If you have 10% SH in a tank and your water is on 100% and your chemical is on 100%, that's a 5% mix. So you would adjust your water accordingly. You might want to check out our how to wash course, it goes over absolutely everything in regards to mixing chemicals, how to do it, all the formulas, everything that you need to know as far as Softwashing and Pressure Washing. @@AllAboutPressureWashing Really, it's over kill? Nice that you can have some extra storage space. Can the 36 inch box hold the battery and pump only? Then install the proportion unit on the outside?
It’s overkill for the pump and switch, it’s nice for the storage. The one I bought was from Lowe’s and was either on special or mis priced because I can’t find one like it
Hey man love the work you do and the videos you post. But I was wondering can I use the general pump hose reels for soft wash? Or will the manifold rust out from the chemicals?

+JPL Florida Unfortunately, the solar panel charging system never really did do a great job. We ended up hooking up our Softwash pumps to the pressure washer battery which charges at all the time.
hey mike! so i have just built a blender that is almost identical to yours and for whatever reason it refuses to prime through the blender but when i hook it straight to the pump it primes with no problem. i was wanting to see if you might could help with that in some way .i have a 12v 5.5 pump with 14 gauge wire with a deep cycle marine battery.
I was looking at the proportioner settings link, and from what I understand using Bleach with 10% SH and a 1:3 ratio would be 2.5% pure SH but how would the surfactants affect those numbers I see that there is a proportioner for the surfactant, so what setting would it be on?
On some houses In the Cities on by high roads there is usualy a type of black stuff that is super hard to clean that is typicaly on the last top 2 vynil stripes... Im tryin to find a expert on that issue..
What happens if my gutters collect the water my house runs off . Do you just have to disconnect the gutter down spout so the soap and runoff doesn’t go into my water tank. ?
Not bad bud. I only see a few things that you could do to improve. I really like the Solar Charging. I will incorporate that into my rig. I try to keep everything as simple and small as possible. The Solar was an Eye Opener.
@@AllAboutPressureWashing The bypass on the pressure washer needs to go back to the buffer tank so that you can keep cooler water flowing through your pw pump when your finger is off of the trigger.

Hey Dave, we have had better luck with this 12v 7GPM unit then any other in the past. We have used pumps from Delevan in the past with very little luck. The Everflo EF7000-BOX 7.0 GPM 12V Diaphragm Pump comes standard with 1/2 connections and we run them quite a bit. Make sure to subscribe to the channel!
Depends on your pressure washer, most pressure washers have a charging system for the battery and the battery is only used to start the motor so not used a lot - unlike the 12v which is constantly being drained while the pump is in use
I built my own softwash setup off of this video but I'm having issue's. It works but I have too much air in my flow and water comes out nut its spitting out water instead of a constant strong fow. Can someone tell me what I did wrong

Very well done man! Genius with the solar panel. Next comes the couch and TV right?! 😂 thanks for walking us through. I’ve been wondering on these trailers. I trust your videos over the others. Always so well explained.
I purchased a metering valve just like that hooked it up but the water side turned all the way on and it’s not sucking water from a 5 gallon bucket. It’s not pump it’s working fine. You have any idea what else could the problem be. I appreciate the feedback
+Have Faith Pressure Washing Services,LLC turn all the other valves to off and leave water on and try. It might also not be primed, maybe use a garden hose and force water through your water hose while it’s in the bucket and see if that helps
Great info!!! Thanks!! I can’t find that lemon cling
Brad Thomas Call L & H in Savannah and they can ship it.
CleanSavannah - Sales, Marketing & Tech Tips okay cool!! I looked on the site and didn’t see it so I thought they didn’t have it. Really appreciate it!
Brad Thomas call Sergio at L and H, he will take care of you.
Pressure Tek Lemmonater
This is good, thanks for the ideas.
+Doc Steven thanks Doc
both tanks are SH? or do you have 1 straight water and the other 10% sh and mix through the valve??
+Leffycleanse one water - one SH
@@AllAboutPressureWashing how often are you filling tanks back up? after how many houses usually?
+Leffycleanse they are filled constantly
Just started a power wash business, your videos are very helpful so thank you. Im going to start building my soft wash system.
Yoooo I’m just looking into starting, any advice or recommendations would be MUCH appreciated!! and congrats on your new business!
can you use the same equiptment for both?
Whats your opinion on Northstar soft wash system?
+Gerald Arteaga I have never used one so I can’t really give my opinion.
What would be your “go to” soft wash j rod tip sizes?
It is dependent upon your pump size
@@AllAboutPressureWashing 12v 5.5gpm
Hi Mike
What size is your checkerplate toolbox
When your using the soft water pump on this video is it continuously on after you flip the switch when your spraying
No
Thanks for the Video , wondering where i can get tanks in Australia at a good price
Can you charge the battery will the bleach pump is in use?
With a big system like this, how do set up your percentage of bleach?
so when i put my setting on 1 for SH and 5 for water that give me about a 1.5-1.75 percentage u can wash houses with right?
It depends on what percentage of SH you were using. If you have 10% SH in a tank and your water is on 100% and your chemical is on 100%, that's a 5% mix. So you would adjust your water accordingly.
You might want to check out our how to wash course, it goes over absolutely everything in regards to mixing chemicals, how to do it, all the formulas, everything that you need to know as far as Softwashing and Pressure Washing. There is a link in the description
Hi,
Do you have a model number for that aluminum tool box. That's a pretty cool idea. That might work for me.
Thanks
+Michael C I just put a link to the smaller in the description. Of the video - the one I have is overkill and I got a heck of a deal. They are usually about $350 for that size
@@AllAboutPressureWashing
Really, it's over kill? Nice that you can have some extra storage space.
Can the 36 inch box hold the battery and pump only? Then install the proportion unit on the outside?
It’s overkill for the pump and switch, it’s nice for the storage. The one I bought was from Lowe’s and was either on special or mis priced because I can’t find one like it
where do you get your tanks from ?
+Paul Harris agri supply
Great video and love your content! Keep it going! 💙

@@AllAboutPressureWashing You are welcomed.
How are the solar panels working out on the charging?
Dean Weingarth just like a trickle charger. We have not had to charge the battery yet.
Love it !!

is this a 7x14 with brakes on both axles? if so whered you buy it from

Dorsey trailer in Savannah
@@AllAboutPressureWashing okay where did u find it i have been trying to find me one for my rig for months and cant find one!
@@AllAboutPressureWashing ill give them a call tommorow and let you know if they have one and is your trailer 7 foot wide
+Payton Floyd we have a bunch - I don’t know the exact dimensions of them all.
Do you sale used completed set ups?
Hey man love the work you do and the videos you post. But I was wondering can I use the general pump hose reels for soft wash? Or will the manifold rust out from the chemicals?
+jmonkey75 I would think so as long as you rinse them out after every job. But definitely talk with the manufacturer to see if they are rated for that.
can you use a transfer pump instead of a diaphragm pump?
How often do u change the diaphragm I keep getting new ones installed and they keenleaking
Keep leaking
+parker bentley diaphragms in what?
@@AllAboutPressureWashing in the pump I keep getting it serviced and the pump keeps leaking at the top by the bolts 3rd pump I been through in 4 months
Great video!! Thank you for posting. What solar panel Watt rating do you recommend for charging the battery? I have found one that is 2.4 Watts. Would that be enough? Thank you!!
+JPL Florida Unfortunately, the solar panel charging system never really did do a great job. We ended up hooking up our Softwash pumps to the pressure washer battery which charges at all the time.
@@AllAboutPressureWashing that’s a great idea. Thank you for the quick reply. Much appreciated!!!
Is it 1/2 inch hoses all around?
+Ashton Shaw on the soft wash - 3/8 on pressure washer
Nice setup! What size trailer do you have?
John, that trailer is a 16’ dual axle. What are you running?
How often do you have to charge the battery? Or does the panel keep it charged?
hey mike! so i have just built a blender that is almost identical to yours and for whatever reason it refuses to prime through the blender but when i hook it straight to the pump it primes with no problem. i was wanting to see if you might could help with that in some way .i have a 12v 5.5 pump with 14 gauge wire with a deep cycle marine battery.
+Blake Bearden are there any leaks? Check all your connections
What did you use to mount the blend manifold? And does soap = surfactant? Thanks in advance!
Yes soap is surfactant
Ive looked at both videos and cant find the metering ratios
I was looking at the proportioner settings link, and from what I understand using Bleach with 10% SH and a 1:3 ratio would be 2.5% pure SH but how would the surfactants affect those numbers I see that there is a proportioner for the surfactant, so what setting would it be on?
How many medium sized houses can you do on 1 charge on that size battery? Im thinking full house, sidings & roof.
Anybody have a idea?
Great video!
+Georgi Elena thank you for watching
What king of hoses are you using on your reel's?
Thanks for watching, Please subscribe too! What would you do to improve? I always want to learn new things!
@@AllAboutPressureWashing The bypass on the pressure washer needs to go back to the buffer tank so that you can keep cooler water flowing through your pw pump when your finger is off of the trigger.
@@AllAboutPressureWashing I would try to find a spot to mount the solar panel longer term so it charges all day.

This is a nice system, good stuff
wanting to start my own busniess but no one makes a walk through piece by piece of how this system works and how it all pieces together.
What size are your tanks
+hunteravery3 most are 250 gallons I think.
Love this.
Where did you get the solar panel from?
+New Era Media Amazon - not worth a damn
@@AllAboutPressureWashing oh okay lol
Have you had good luck with a 7GPM pump and 1/2" hose? I have 250' of 1/2 hose and my 7GPM didn't last long at all! Running a 5.5GPM now, but noticeably not as much distance or pressure.
There’s so much!! That’s overwhelming hahah

How high will this set up spray the cleaning solution? Looking to be able to hit 3-4 stories from the ground
+Robert Leparulo 3 stories at the most
If I wanted 4 stories what would I need to do a bigger pump??
How is the solar hooked up?
+James Pope It just clamps directly to the battery.
@@AllAboutPressureWashing also how do you tel which banjo filter to get there’s like 25 different ones...
Do I need one for pressure washer and one for soft wash machine?
Depends on your pressure washer, most pressure washers have a charging system for the battery and the battery is only used to start the motor so not used a lot - unlike the 12v which is constantly being drained while the pump is in use
You need the ones that fit your pump
I love this set up... I'm seriously think about building a pressure washing rig to support my Social security.. How hard is it to learn?
I built my own softwash setup off of this video but I'm having issue's. It works but I have too much air in my flow and water comes out nut its spitting out water instead of a constant strong fow. Can someone tell me what I did wrong
Not exactly sure what you were describing, I would just make sure all of your connections are tight so no air is entering the system.
trying going bit by bit over anything that could leak air with something that will bubble with air flow
