Great vlog and brilliant to see you made it on to the Llangollen in time for winter 😊 Noah having his haircut on the towpath, brilliant 😂 but makes complete sense Safe onward journey all 😊
Many moons ago we turned to Hurleston in a howling gale with my teenage son at the helm while the rest of the crew prepared the lock. Bless him the wind took over and he ended up well stuck against the side of the canal. We were unable to help him so he struggled for some time and eventually managed to escape the the side of the canal. Leaving the lock we held the boat away from the 'weir' using ropes. It's now a forty year old memory!
Aww a lovely cruise in the sunshine Gary & Nicky, I bet you wish it was like that today! lots of wind, wet weather and even snow today as storm Bert greets us. Take care and keep warm 😊x
We think we're heading to Crick but going there through Leicester and then after Crick we're hoping to go back to the Thames but only through Abingdon to Lechlade, its so beautiful down there
Gutted to see the Barbridge Inn closed , we had the first night of our honeymoon in there , hired from dartline at Bunbury and did the Llangollen, 27 years ago.
But it truly was, it was always fully booked as the food was good. Even in the winter it was full, we don't know why it closed perhaps retirement was the cause, who knows
Lovely 😊. Now you're on your way to Christmas 🎄. Thanks for taking us along 😊

Hi Dave, it's not very often that we're near hairdressers etc so we've just got used to doing our own, why do you think I wear a hat? Lol
@ haha brilliant - carry on cruising guys 👍🏻

The wind howls around there David, even the most experienced boater would always loose with mother nature

We're sitting having our morning coffee listening to the rain hammering on the roof, think it's going to be a wet weekend
Winter has just warmed up with the arrival of Chugs 😊
GG says woof to the kids and, puppies. What a beautiful cruise.
Xx
Quick question Gary Philips, where are you going to head after Llangollen?
We think we're heading to Crick but going there through Leicester and then after Crick we're hoping to go back to the Thames but only through Abingdon to Lechlade, its so beautiful down there
Gutted to see the Barbridge Inn closed , we had the first night of our honeymoon in there , hired from dartline at Bunbury and did the Llangollen, 27 years ago.
Its such a shame, such a lovely canalside pub bud
P.S tell Andy woof too
Sadly The Barbridge Inn could not have been popular otherwise it would still be open.
But it truly was, it was always fully booked as the food was good. Even in the winter it was full, we don't know why it closed perhaps retirement was the cause, who knows
Lots of pubs closing everyday, by the time Labour have finished you'll need to be wealthy to eat out. @@GaryCaptainPhillips
