We moved to an Orkney island from Worcestershire two years ago, around the same time that Willie and Sarah moved to Skye. Loving every minute up here and enjoy watching Willie and Sarah’s adventures. 😍💕

Unlucky with the fishing guys. You should have kept the small mackerel for bait when beach casting. I night fish throughout the winter from my local beach here in south Ayrshire. Starting at low tide and fish to high tide. Over the years I have caught bass cod Pollock coalfish and whiting from October through to march so it's well worth a go. I take my portable gas stove and a kettle ( very handy for warming the hands mid winter). I also take a fold up camping chair. So long as it's not too windy or wet it is a pleasure to be out during the dark winter nights.A truly uplifting and spiritual experience and once home you appreciate the comfort of your house that bit more. Look for a sandy beach at low tide to cast into with rocks either side and fish it low to high into the darkness. That way you are snag free and I find this type of beach fishes very well particularly if the wind is in your face when casting. Good luck.
14 years ago I rented a wee cottage on Skye with my husband, son and his wife. I remember visiting Portree and having a glass of wine outside on the picnic seats opposite the pub. A lovely memory. Now we all live in New Zealand 🇳🇿 but we love your videos. ❤
My late partner and I spent many months each year in the Highlands motorhoming and usually fished in Little Loch Broom. I lost so many lures in the seaweed around the Loch edge. The mackerel I did sometimes catch were delicious……apparently, as I’m allergic to all fish I cannot vouch. But my partner, bless her , loved them.

Love the videos always a great watch , top tip for when you are out night fishing especially when you have clear water is to keep any white light away from the water, try and get a red headlight as it doesn’t spook the fish anywhere near as much as a white 👍🏼 look forward to seeing you catch a Bass soon !
In Hawaii they shore fish like that too but put a little bell on the end of the rod. That way you don’t have to stare at it. 😊. You need a small solo stove or fire pit….
