      Good luck to anyone who attempts to figure out the inventory for this build and every step based on a stop motion video. Many steps were also not included as the angles did not allow. Thanks for watching though!

      Hello How to build with Lego! Yes the builder has done an amazing job. Thanks for watching! Should have a MOC TIE Fighter up next, by Jerac.

    What a good Lego MOC about one of the attackers from the third Star Wars movie.
    Very successful resemblance. Good video where you detail the whole process. Fantastic!!! 👏👏👏

    It looks absolutely gorgeous. Reminds me a bit of the horizon Tallneck
    Which is also very fragile and only supposed to be put on the shelf and look great. 👍🏻

      Yes it was one of my favourite builds mainly due to the challenge and finding a way to pose it. Using LEGO Studio to create the base was a blast. Thanks for watching!

    LEGO need to bring out a UCS of this. This is such a great looking model and diorama. Look forward to seeing more.

    Loved the video and especially how you built the diorama for it’, all you need a an Ewok underneath one of the at-st legs to complete it 😅. I didn’t get a true sense of the scale of the model until I saw you handling it. Perhaps it requires some sort of scale in the background. Maybe have a mini figure standing beside it.

      @mrcavallos  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Nader! Thanks heaps for your comment and it is a good idea. Believe it or not I did buy a LEGO Ewok, Wicket, and was going to make him walk around during filming - but my son decided he wanted it 😁Kinda grateful though as it would have added a lot of time to an already long shoot.

    One of very few Star Wars vehicles that makes military sense...

    This model is fantastic, but I also had a lot of trouble with the ball joints in the hips and knees not providing enough friction to hold up the weight. Also, using second-hand parts probably didn't help either. The best solution I found is to rebuild the knees and hips to use Technic Rotation Joint Balls and Sockets instead. Parts such as 48171, 47455, 48169 and 80431 were much more effective at holding the weight since they "lock" or "ratchet". Even though these work better, the model is still prone to collapse due to the weight. I would really appreciate it if someone were to design a nice posing stand for this model. Hopefully, something similar to what is used in Brickvault's RX-78-2 Gundam and Leo Mobile Suit models.

      @mrcavallos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey EvilMonkeyJoe - Thanks for stopping by and offering some great advice! i will certainly try this mod you suggested. I noticed on the BrickVault MOC page this model seems to be posed in ways i simply cannot achieve. They might possibly be rendered? But as I mentioned even with the joints holding, it was always trying to tip forward. Other than supporting the head, the diorama and the pose in the video was my only solution. Still vey happy with it but it is definitely a DO NOT TOUCH! model 😆

    • @TheOneandOnlyDuck
      @TheOneandOnlyDuck ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mrcavallos Definitely. I love Brickvault, but I do find myself making modifications to make their models more sturdy. Which I am not complaining too much since it is a fun problem to dig into. With the "locking joints" I applied, I still have to lean the model against a back wall to give it some stability. And if someone bumps the shelf or breaths on it wrong, the legs will buckle and the head will smash apart on the shelf.

    This video is awesome! Timelapse is really cool. I've found myself looking at brickvaults at-st many times and I've never committed because the at-st shape does not lend itself to being stable. This video has again reaffimed my position on not attempting this moc no matter how much I love how it looks. The diorama base is genius, it might be worth refining it further and putting it to brickvault themselves to sell like a stand for a starship. Look forward to seeing more of your content.

    • @mrcavallos
      @mrcavallos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Dan. Thanks so much for your comment. I understand your reluctance with this one as it was certainly a challenge posing it. I was determined to build it tho hence the diorama. Glad you liked it! I find many MOCs are pretty fragile - the X-Wing for instance - but when simply for display, many don't compare with original LEGO creations as they don't need to be as robust. So they have a little more flexibility in their design. I'm thinking next will be a Tie Fighter or even the Razor Crest. Stay tuned and cheers for the sub.

    • @Dan-dv8cy
      @Dan-dv8cy ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mrcavallos I look forward to seeing the Tie as from what I can tell it's one their more solid designs , I'm currently collecting parts for that build myself. I recently found my passion for lego again as an adult which helped me back into star wars as I had completely lost passion for when The Last Jedi was released. The mandalorian on the other hand is the best thing since rogue one and the razor crest is fast becoming iconic so seeing that build in timelapse would be great.

    • @mrcavallos
      @mrcavallos  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Dan-dv8cy I totally understand. For me the nostalia lies simply with IV, V & VI. That's why all my models will be from those movies. Though The Mandalorian was a pleasant surprise. It's a real shame Jon Favreau wasn't involved in the final trilogy. Curious to know what you thought of Solo and Rogue One - two spin offs I actually quite enjoyed. I also got back into LEGO as an adult - The Millenium Falcon UCS started it off. Now a timelapse of that would be interesting! Maybe when I retire 😁

    • @Dan-dv8cy
      @Dan-dv8cy ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mrcavallos I enjoyed rogue one it's the only film outside of the classic trilogy that holds up imo. I have seen solo but I can't really recall it as this was during my star wars break up period so I didn't really give it much thought. I'll be rewatching it and rogue one asap. I need to get myself a UCS Millennium Falcon but it's a little out of reach on the price side unfortunately.

    • @mrcavallos
      @mrcavallos  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Dan-dv8cyyes that is true - it certainly isn't a cheap hobby. To be honest, it is only as an adult that I have been able to afford it. I imagine there are probably more adults that own LEGO than children, especially when it come to UCS editions.

    I suspect that brick vault are using glue to help them shoot their little at-st promo videos. Nobody else as far as I can tell can manhadle this thing the way they do. Very dirty move if true

    • @mrcavallos
      @mrcavallos  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This would make sense given the trouble I had with the model, but I will give the benefit of the doubt. I did manage to get it to stand without any glue, but the pose just wasn't what I wanted. I am still thrilled with the look of it though and commend the creator for a brilliant design. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts.
