Your farm is successful, your sheep farming is successful, your marriage is successful and your kids are successful. I'm not sure what anyone has to complain about. Everything you do comes for love and encouragement. Keep on Sandi!
Those having a go at Sandi are the equivalent of jealous, high school girls. Or so completely naive and uneducated in farming and animal husbandry that they type before they exercise what’s inside their skulls. Then there’s those rabid vegan zealots (and plenty of vegan and animal rights supporters are not like that AT ALL, so please don’t think I’m making an assumption about all vegans and/or animal rights supporters) who just hate any body raising sheep for wool or meat for consumption
I have three healthy adult cats (2 years old) because of you! My neighbor gave me some really sick infant kittens, and they were seriously fading fast. Wouldn't drink were lethargic, but I knew from watching you, that they were most likely cold. Warmed them up and they drank, and started moving around. I received vets instructions after that, but in that moment all I had was information you gave me. Don’t sell yourself short, I seriously believe Beans, Dotty, and Little Man are alive because of you.

Sandi's videos have helped me with my goats on multiple occasions. I had one knuckling under a few times and I knew just what to do to wrap the legs. I have a friend that recently had a baby goat limping and so I sent her one of the videos and now the goat is doing great!
My dad who grew up on a farm says "don't have animals if you can't do the hard part of giving a peaceful end" Your doing the work that is hard Thank you
That’s a beautiful way of expressing what is indeed a hard thing to do. Those of us with pets certainly understand. I can’t imagine how hard it would be for a farmer, or shepherd or shepherdess to have to do this, so much more often than pet parents. You do what you gotta do.

To the “you’re doing it different so it must be wrong” crowd: I’m a neonatal intensive care nurse. I often explain to families that a lot of the cares we do might look slightly different from nurse to nurse, but nursing is kinda like making chocolate chip cookies. There are a hundred different recipes out there and just as many ways to make them, but as long as you have a chocolate chip cookie at the end that’s all that matters. I’d imagine farming is much the same way. Different isn’t wrong, it’s just different.
I am also a nurse and long ago discovered that there are a lot of different ways to reach the same outcome. If it makes since to the person doing it, it will usually turn out better than being forced to do it someone else's way. Love these videos 💜🐑

I'm remembering that old psych study where the baby monkeys preferred the soft, snuggly 'hug' to the wire mesh that actually delivered their milk. Sandi's baby likes the contact w/her; who can argue w/that? 💕💕
Your little starving rescue lamb is a perfect example of why your numbers on the ewes and lambs are so important. You wouldn't have been able to find the twin before it was dangerously late without them
Sandi, what a brave shephardess you are! After so much time, energy, money, and emotional commitment, losing a lamb or a ewe has to devastating. You are amazing!!! The new building sure looks good!!
Putting an animal down is one of the hardest things a human has to do. Even if you know that it has no quality of life and never will have quality of life, it's still unbearably difficult. We want them to thrive. But it's so worth it to watch the healthy ones run around living their best life.
I think it’s so amazing that with all of the many lambs that are in this barn, these little babies know exactly who their mama is. What a miracle of birth!!
How you do things is between you and your vet. This is like being married, always 3 ways to do something, his way, her way, and a bystander’s way, and that’s okay.
I hated haying too. Now that I can't help beyond driving the truck and wagon, I miss it. However my absolute favorite part of it, through the graciousness of my husband, I still get to do. I love nothing more (except watching the snow fall) than sitting in the freshly mowed field, breathing that perfect scent, with a book, snacks and a jug of ice tea. All alone, just me and nature for a few hours. So the hubby actually packs me a lunch, my actual recliner, and hauls it and me to the field so I can still have that time. At dusk he comes to watch the sun set with me, and I return home content with everything. This year was special though, it was also our 20th anniversary, and he surprised me with dinner from my favorite restaurant, in the field, table, candles and all. Think I will keep for at least another 20 years, God willing.
Your hubby is definitely a keeper! 😅😅 Congratulations on 20 years together. My husband and I celebrated our 44th anniversary this year. Don't know what I'd do without him. ❤❤❤
What works for you and your lambs is the right way for you and your lambs. There are always those who know better. This comes from someone with no animal husbandry knowledge whatsoever! Keep up the good work!
"Just because its different, doesn't mean its wrong." I _really_ had to learn this after having a child, & watching my husband take care of her, play with her, etc. in ways that were different from how I did things. She was fine! Better than fine. She was thriving! He just had a different approach, is all.
It broke my heart when both the broken leg and hot/cold combo did not survive, there is only so much you can do, in the end Mother Nature will rule in the end. I love how the lamb kept snuggling to you while you were talking about her, that helped to make me feel so much better after the loss of the other two. Watching the lambs bouncing their way around is so uplifting for one’s soul
Everyone does things differently. Doesn't mean your doing wrong. I think your doing a fantastic job. Some people should keep they're opinions to there selves.
Last year I watched all of Jess’s videos with her going through chemotherapy! This year I am going through chemotherapy for amyloidosis! I have been rewatching her videos and they are helping me! Let her know!
Wishing you strength as you go through chemo treatment. I am glad to hear that Jess sharing her story is helping you. I hope you'll make a full recovery. ❤❤❤
Sandi, don't take the comments to heart! Just let it go! We all can see How much you Love your WoolBabies! Nothing should be weighing heavily on your mind! Let it go, and just Do You!
15:56 I’m sorry for your loss. I know you hate doing it (it would be weird if you didn’t) but I believe you made the right decision. I’m a human with a relatively low quality of life & I still struggle with it. A baby lamb can’t even understand what’s happening to them (probably a blessing). I do comment on FarmTube about how other channels do things but I’m always trying to help someone having difficulty. I’m not there to sh*t on anyone for not knowing what their next step *could be*. I also try to tell them where I got the information (if I can remember) so they can watch it themselves before deciding if they want to try that method
Knee jerk responses are unfortunately human nature. Sandi you are a caring, kind beautiful human being. Sensitive like me. At 60, I finally learned to protect my feelings, it’s still hard. ❤❤😊😊👍🙏🐑
Farming is in my opinion the hardest job ever. Thank you for showing the wins and the losses. You don't want people to think it is easy. It is hard and harder work. People need to know it is not all sunshine and rainbows. You do what you think is best. People saying "your doing it wrong" is one of my biggest pet peeves. If they think that let them go check out other channels.
Oh Sandi I am feeling your pain, as I have watched you for years now and it breaks my ❤when you have to do something all of us should know by now that if you could save them you would.😢
My 6 yr old son said, " Look, mom, he's drinking from the sipple" I was like, what is a sipple? He said "it's a sippy cup nipple!" Omg! These kids 😅😂😅😂
I love, love, love those little Tunis lambs! Seeing them made my day!❤❤❤❤ Then is saw the little lamb didn’t make it and now I’m sad😢 Life isn’t fair sometimes! 😭
Sandi, unfortunately we live in a world today where there’s always a naysayer..Just keep scrolling or block them! You know what works better than any one for your lamb babies. We see the love you have for each lamb and never second guess yourself or let these people know they bother you, blessings to you and Mark for being farmers🙏❤️
I have to congratulate you on the phenomenal job you do. No matter the outcome, you always do the best for your sheep and lambs. Unfortunately, doing your best can involve doing the things you hate doing. I feel for you when you make those hard decisions. Don’t let the second guessers get to you. You’re doing a job that few of us who watch could never begin to do or deal with the complexities you face daily. I stand in awe.
Sandi, you rock!!! ☀️For those who “come at you”, whether they are experienced farmers or not, have “self-issues”. Toss “their opinions”, where they belong, into the manure pile.
❤❤❤❤ the new building looks great! I cant believe it's already standing😊 You're an amazing woman, you're strong, caring, resourceful and intelligent. You always do the best you can for the sheep and when they don't thrive, that's mother nature's way of saying that sometimes they can't be helped.
Sandi, I am so sorry about your little cold/hot baby and your wobbler. You put so much love and effort into your livestock and special babies, like Teddy, Freckles, and Pita. You do the best that you can. Hang in there 🙏.
Sandi, some people will always hate. I told my dad about you, he's 88 and he said most farmers love their animals, otherwise they wouldn't do it but i said you don't just love your animals, you love, love, love them and i appreciate all you do the good with the bad❤❤❤
Sandi....thank you for addressing the comment about how to work with the lambs that need extra help. ❤ Thank you for reminding folks that there is more than way to do things, and we should all be open to different ideas. That is how we grow! I for one have learned a lot from you. 😁 Thank you for all your hard work, dedication, sweat, and tears. You, my friend, are one of the most open, transparent farmers out there, and I truly appreciate how you share the good, the bad, and even the ugly sides are farming. #supportourfarmers #farmersfeedtheworld #farmingisnotforsissies
I reared my three children and taught junior high English and history for 28 years . I thought I was a hard worker, but my days pale in comparison to yours. Additionally, your intelligence and knowledge knowledge are impressive. You could be a CEO of a major corporation.
When you’ve done all you can do, the kindest thing you can do is end the suffering. God Bless You. Been around livestock all my life. Many tears shed but you do what you can to be a good shepherd. You are one.
Thank you for cheering up my day! Love all you do for your flock. ❤️ You do everything you can to keep them healthy and thriving. Animal husbandry is hard. My heart goes out to you when there are ones that weren't ment to be. Thank you for caring so much and sharing the highs and lows. Heart❤
So sorry for the lambs you recently lost. In your heart you know you did everything you could for them. People need to stop criticizing your decisions about how to take care of your flock. There are different ways of doing things and you do consult with your vet. I wish people would follow the old saying - if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all! We really enjoy your channel because all of you come across as really good people sharing the ups and downs of life as farmers. Take care and God bless!
To all the people telling Sandi "you're doing it wrong" or nitpicking on how she does it; y'all armchair farmers and don't know anything, so stay in your lane. Opinions are like butts, everyone has one, nobody wants to see yours. Now for Sandi; you're an incredible farmer, and your love for what you do and for the animals you raise is so abundantly clear. Please don't let the armchair farmers get you down. 💜💙
Granted, there are several ways to do any task/chore/skill. How you do it is your way. As long as it is successful and does not endanger the recipient of the task/chore/skill, and indeed, improves the recipient, then it is the right way to do it. I learned this in my skill-related career. Sandi - keep on learning, keep on doing you. Others may be right in their task/chore/skill, you are right in yours.
Sandi, you don't give yourself enough credit. I also am my own worst critic, but believe all of us her love you and support you, I've seen other TH-camrs voicing support for you and Cammy your an international wonder woman my dear❤❤❤❤
Better a day too early than a day too late. Making the hard choices is the most important thing on any animal caregiver has to keep in mind. You can't save them all and it sucks but that's nature way. Making sure they are healthy and thriving is our job as managers. NEVER EVER doubt that you are doing the right thing for YOUR animals Sandi ! Anyone who says otherwise has never been in your shoes on your place and their ignorance is on full display.
You have no wrong ways in my eyes, especially when you put the amount of love into it that you do. Thank you for your beautiful smiles in each and every video.
Your sheep farm makes me think about foster children. You give good life to the lambs for as long as they are here. A day, a month, six months, a year or longer. It means something to all of us. The lamb felt joy, no matter how short a life it had. Good for you! Great for us to see you live real emotion. We see you feel it, so we get to take a journey and feel it too. You’re better than the movies.
I know nothing about farming or husbandry, but it doesn't take a genius to see that your wins far outnumber your losses. As the Aussies would say, good on ya, mate!
Sandi, It such a JOY watching you because there is SO MUCH LOVE & SKILL & DEDICATED HARD WORK and there is such ELEGANCE & BEAUTY with everything you do!!❤from Montreal
Some folk have an ego, and their way is the only way. You cannot convince them otherwise. Please don't stress yourself over the matter. You know your methodology is working, lambs are surviving, close your eyes and ears to the know it all bully types! We believe in you!!!😍🥰😘❤️❤️❤️
❤ I'm so sorry about your little hot & cold baby. I'm so sorry about your other baby lamb that you had to put down. I know how hard that has to be. Fabulous video, Sandy. Thank you.
What a beautiful farm you have! You are both very knowledgeable and through it all, have persevered through many obstacles and succeed!!! Thank God for farmers!!!
I don't understand how anyone that is not a farmer can critic a real farmer. I am not a farmer and love watching what you do and could never critic you or any other farmer. Hugs and God Bless to all.
So sad about the lambs that didn’t make it you do everything possible to help them your an excellent sheep shepherdess. Debbie Aberdeen Scotland Uk xxxx
I feel for you Sandi, when you have done all you know how to do, and a lamb goes steadily downhill, there comes a point where you have to decide what is for the best. When you had to put to sleep the lamb with the broken leg, my heart went out to you. Sandi, you did your best. Don't beat yourself up hun, you did all you knew to do, and then some. Have a better week coming.
Sandi, every time you have to put a lamb down I cry with you. 😢 None of us like to see our animals not well and when their time comes we have to do the right thing. It seems that you go to great lengths to save those babies and sometimes they just don’t have it in them to carry on. I admire the love you have for your flock. I don’t know a lot about sheep or how to look after them but from what I can see you are a great shepherdess.❤
Oh Sandi it hurts my heart when I see/hear, people being judgmental. As a nurse in long term care, I know there are many ways to get a job done and they're all right! As a farm girl, I REALLY know there are many ways to get to the same goal. As an empath I also know it's hard to not be hurt by criticism. Broad shoulders and closed ears are my mantra. I absolutely love seeing your videos and getting my lamb fix until the next video. Keep on being your authentic self Sandi ❤
There’s something that just tickles me seeing a baby lamb blaaaah good morning to you. Just makes me giggle every time. Their whole body is into the blaaaah 😂 I hope you take a day for you soon to recover my friend, I can tell you’re exhausted ❤
There's many ways to do things in veterinary. Working with older Dr's, before a lot of today's technology, had taught me to be very resourceful. You usually have to get your way of doing things first, in your routine, compfortably before trying something different. When things aren't going smooth, then it's time to use tools you've learnt from others. Different isn't wrong ❤
Sandi, your TH-cam channel is so up lifting for me as I recover from a double mastectomy only 3 weeks ago, glad to report only one breast had cancer and had not spread at all outside the milk duct...the removal of the other breast was for prevent care....now a flatty....Sandi, your wonderful and full of LOVE for your ewes and little lambs...ignore the Nahhh sayers and know your a wonderful shepherdess 🐑🐑🐑🐑
You always do such a great job with such a loving heart. God bless you and your family. Those who disagree can do the best thing: mind there own business and stop watching. Their negativity does not interfere with this incredible shepherdess and the work she does.
❤❤I love your videos, Sandi! Watching you care for the Mama's and babies is miraculous! They love you as you love them. The babies are running while Mama's eat is so beautiful to see. ❤❤
Woke up to water pump in house broken. No water. Have to handle it. Took a break to watch you and see my issue is so simple really. You Sandi are awesome ❤
Sitting here watching this video I got to give kudos to ALL the farmers out there. Especially the ones with animals. I don't know how they do it. I know Sandi had to put that lamb down because it was suffering but I don't know how she does it. She is definitely stronger than me! I'm sitting here bawling and its not even my lamb. You are doing a great job farmers. Thank you for feeding the world! PS. Please say a little prayer for the farmers around me in West Virginia/Ohio/Pennsylvania. We are in a severe drought. No hay. No pastures. Its horrible.
I hate that you have to do the hard stuff especially when you try so hard to save them but you always do what’s best for them thank you for showing us the good with the bad love this time of the process cause I love seeing the babies
Sandy, my favorite boss ever assigned tasks by stating the end goal and the date he needed it completed. He left how to get there up to the person. Your end goal is keeping lambs alive. I couldn't care less how you get there. Hugs
I love that you give your heart and soul into saving your lambs. I’m sorry that you sometimes have to make the decision that you can only do so much to save them. Our hearts go out to you when you do have to do it.
Sandi I love your videos. I’ve been watching for over two years. You are an inspiration to me. I deal with depression every day and I I know how much you struggle. Whenever I’m feeling down I can watch you and makes me smile. Keep up the great work. Keep loving your babies.🥰
Regardless of what other posters might say, you have so many more of your rescue's live, than not. I've seen you do everything short of standing on your head to give your poor babies a chance to live, and you're awesome at it!! Hater's be gone!

So sorry your little lambie didn't make it. 😔 That's one of the hard parts of sheeping.
RIP in lambie heaven little one.
It sucks sometimes being a farmer. If people only knew how much love and prayers we put forth. You do you sandy.❤
@@beverlywallace4920 thanks so much for your kind words
Chemo is hard but you can get through it! Jess did it and so can you 💜
Lucy really is a sheep in dog’s clothing. Have a wonderful day.
Oh Sandi I am feeling your pain, as I have watched you for years now and it breaks my ❤when you have to do something all of us should know by now that if you could save them you would.😢
I love watching the lambs run around, they are so much like little kids. 🥰🥰
just because someone does something a different way, doesn't mean it's a wrong or bad way. It's just the way it makes sense for the person doing it.
Sandi, you're masterful at your job, in both the ups and the sad downs. Keep doing things your way. It's what you do best.
My 6 yr old son said, " Look, mom, he's drinking from the sipple" I was like, what is a sipple? He said "it's a sippy cup nipple!"
Omg! These kids 😅😂😅😂
😊
I love, love, love those little Tunis lambs! Seeing them made my day!❤❤❤❤
Then is saw the little lamb didn’t make it and now I’m sad😢 Life isn’t fair sometimes! 😭
So true…I am glad that Sandi showed us 15 & 16 - touch and go lambs last week to frolicking in the High School bottle baby pen this week ❣️👏👏👏👏
The babies scampering back and forth makes me giggle 😃!! ❤❤I just can't get enough of them and when I'm depressed, just watch them again!!!
I stand in awe.
those 2 little cocoa colored lambs are adorable. I mean, they are all adorable, but those 2 had my heart the first time I saw them.
I love watching the pure joy of those bottle babies running in their new extended pens but I don’t even want to ask what piper was eating!
Dogs do dogs 😂Dried up lambs' tails? 💕💕
@@elainerempel1613 my head went to dead bird or lamb poo
Sandi, some people will always hate. I told my dad about you, he's 88 and he said most farmers love their animals, otherwise they wouldn't do it but i said you don't just love your animals, you love, love, love them and i appreciate all you do the good with the bad❤❤❤
Sandi....thank you for addressing the comment about how to work with the lambs that need extra help. ❤
Thank you for reminding folks that there is more than way to do things, and we should all be open to different ideas. That is how we grow! I for one have learned a lot from you. 😁
Thank you for all your hard work, dedication, sweat, and tears. You, my friend, are one of the most open, transparent farmers out there, and I truly appreciate how you share the good, the bad, and even the ugly sides are farming.

I reared my three children and taught junior high English and history for 28 years . I thought I was a hard worker, but my days pale in comparison to yours.
Additionally, your intelligence and knowledge knowledge are impressive. You could be a CEO of a major corporation.
I wish Sandi or people like her felt 'called' to run for office! Imagine that!! 💕💕
I know! I have seven children at home and thought I was busy. I'm a layabout compared to Sandi!
I don't get why folks post negative comments. You are wise and caring and have a support staff.
Keep being wonderful.
Heart❤
Precious Sandy, I am so sorry the internet can be so judgmental. Your vlogs bring me so much joy. I love how you share your flock.
Hi Sandi, this had made my day another lambing diaries. Thank you for everything you do.❤❤
So sorry for the lambs you recently lost.
You're doing an amazing job Sandi and don't let anyone tell you that you are not! Stay blessed! I love you so very very much!!! 🥰💖🤗❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
You have no wrong ways in my eyes, especially when you put the amount of love into it that you do. Thank you for your beautiful smiles in each and every video.
Always so excited to see your videos pop up!! Love seeing a little glimpse of farming life!
Yay more adorable babies ❤ and r.i.p to all the sweet baby’s that passed
Sandy you are not doing anything wrong at all!!!!!!!!!!! Don’t listen to those silly people!!!!!!!!!!! We love you and what you’re doing!!!!!!!
I know nothing about farming or husbandry, but it doesn't take a genius to see that your wins far outnumber your losses. As the Aussies would say, good on ya, mate!
Your so compassionate with the lambs...you did all you could for hot/cold and broken leg...thank you for all you do...
Sandi, It such a JOY watching you because there is SO MUCH LOVE & SKILL & DEDICATED HARD WORK and there is such ELEGANCE & BEAUTY with everything you do!!❤from Montreal
I didn't realize, til watching your videos, that lambs grow so quickly. Wow. I'm really glad our children take longer to grow up.
Lambs sniffing the dog, you smell funny. Dog just continues grazing 😂
So sad about the lambs that didn’t make it you do everything possible to help them your an excellent sheep shepherdess. Debbie Aberdeen Scotland Uk xxxx
You did the best you could for wobbly lamb. She was fed and loved and cared for.
Thank you. Watching those babies jump around is just what my heart needed this morning. Your channel truly is one of my favorites 😊
The love and compassion you show is truly inspiring and educational for the next generation!
The high schoolers are certainly enjoying their extra space! The zoomies are so fun to watch!! ❤
Hugs
Oh Yeah! that baby is nuzzling Sandi like"Gimme some lovin', I like you, Big Mamma!!" Hard for some of those first-time mamas 💕💕
