@@clermonthomesHello and thanks for replying, it seems some don’t want to help out because we are looking to start out renting first until we are established in the area, maybe it would be best to call you tomorrow or whenever you are available and at least help point us in the right direction in renting a home and that process. Again I do appreciate any help given.
Good list. I grew up in groveland in the 80s no one looked like you are had a house that nice back then lol. Got stuck on a dock in lake David because a couple of gators were walking around us. They went in their way and didn’t look twice at us.
I was born and raised close to Houston TX, which is really bad during the summer (is both hot and humid). But south FL is much worse, is like a sauna bath. I did not believe that such an environment existed anywhere in the US until I personally experienced it. I am bewildered that anyone would voluntary go there.
Yes-I lived in SFL for 10 years and have always been amazed by the temperature difference between SFL, Central Florida, and North Florida. Sometimes it's upward of 10-20 degrees. I still prefer the heat over the cold!
Clermont has hot summers, but cool/chilly winters. Cooler weather starts to move in by mid October. Evening and mornings are upper 50s to 60s. Daytime is upper 70s low 80s. Once you get to after Thanksgiving then you get 40s and 50s for evening/morning and 60s and 70s for daytime. From December 21st till March1st there is a frost season. Which means within that time frame we can and often do see a few evenings and mornings with Temps in the 20s and 30s which can threaten the orange groove crop. This past winter Christmas day was 22 degrees. Not normal, but it does happen.
The afternoon heat causes convection which forms the clouds and gives us afternoon showers. As a former school teacher, it felt like it was around dismissal times!
Hello, my Aunt is looking at either Clermont or Leesburg for her next move, but more for an independent living apt situation. She is currently living in Ocala but anticipates moving within a year or two. Does Clermont have any of those type of independent living apts?
I keep 2-3 umbrellas in my car. But, I can't tell you how many times I've been in the grocery store, only to hear the rain start pouring down and of course, didn't bring ANY of the umbrellas in with me! 🤪
Haven't seen any scorpions in my nearly 30 years of living in FL. Fire ants are manageable and snakes are more afraid of you. The majority I see are black racer snakes which are very good at eating rodents, etc. They want nothing to do with humans.😊
@@clermonthomes Could just be the local. We were in Julington creek, St johns county and had two bark scorpions in the apt. The exterimintor did say that wes rare thogh.
How exciting! I lived in S. FL for 10 years and loved my time there. I love Clermont/Central Florida even more! Let me know if I can help you in any way! :)
That's what everyone says to me when I say I'm moving to Florida well what about the alligators and hurricanes I say when Jesus wants to take me neither of those things will matter I just want to live near a beach and enjoy sunny weather in the winter. It's been especially cold this year in Northern California and I'm ready to get out of here and I lived in Florida as a kid so I'm excited to see how my kids are going to like it

Excellent ❤
TRAFFIC IS INSAAAANEEE!!
Why have school finish at the same time as a thunderstorm can be anticipated?

Yes, there are several options for your aunt in the area.
You didn’t mention sink holes.
politics expedited my move to Florida
It tends to be one of the many reasons for moving to FL that I hear from many of my clients.
Thanks for letting us know 🙄
Most floridians don't carry umbrellas!😅

Hey there I’m in Fort Lauderdale thinking about moving there
How exciting!

No state taxes in Florida
That's one of the many reasons why Florida is a popular choice for many people!
No snakes
Lady I hate to burst your bubble. Florida is a republican state red.
It’s a wonderful thing!
Thanks for your information
You’re so welcome! 😊
Gators 🐊...just don't bother them
We’re on the lake a lot and rarely see them. They are more scared of us than we are of them - as long as no one feeds them.

So true! I'll take alligators and hurricanes over the cold, snow storms and gloomy skies I grew up with in the Northeast!
