Very helpful to see regular people putting on the slipcovers as opposed to pros on the Mamma Mia videos. Others have complained about the cardboard wedges. Nice to know the fabric is nice and substantial. Loved the cats. Thank you!
I purchased the corner sofa cover in brown velvet (which is like a greige color). I was able to put it on by myself. Not sure how the cardboard corner grids will hold up. If they don’t work, I will try the cut pool noodle option. Love the feel of the fabric. So far so good. I hope it passes the use test as it is quite an expensive cover.
I'm in the same boar, I have a big couch and huge chair. Great concept if they were bigger. On another note, we replaced the cushion foam and washed the covers. What a big difference. Seems the standard foam only lasts for about a year or so, then it gets flat. Take one to an upholsterer and see what they want. I'd say less than $50 ea now. Worth the $$ to us.
This video was very helpful we also got a big 4 seater i bought a 4 seater cover and it slips out on the side ill take the old cover off and see if it works thank you
The corner joint is supposed to go all the way down. Having said that, they won't stay in there too long either especially when you have kids jumping on it. But the thing with these very stretchy covers, they tend to get bigger and bigger overtime.
Hi. I appreciate your review being honest keeping in mind that Mamma Mia gave it to you to review. I'm looking at this one myself. My neighbor gave me a thin one piece microfiber that honestly, just looks so cheap! The color grey is nice. I have a couch like your 2nd one with the t-cushion style. It's touch to find a 2 piece cover for it. Most are box cushions. In this day and age... someone should custom make these with semi high end fabrics, without costing the same as a new couch! I would pay a couple hundred to really love the cover. Thanks for reviewing.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed! Yes, we have a really awkward shaped couch to cover, but the original slipcover I got for it is holding up great - I have an earlier video about these if you want to check it out. I think the textured fabrics are a little nicer than the thin, stretchy material you see a lot. Good luck!
@@LolaGeek Thanks for the reply. I found the other video. I have to say, I think the 2 piece looks a bit more "real" if that makes sense. I'm going to give the xlarge a try and thankful for how great Amazon is about returns. And BTW love how your cats go under every time you were putting covers on.
I found the youtube video somewhat helpful (scan bar code). start by centering tag in back of sofa. helpful if someone helps with this! then tuck in as deep as you can around cushins, then try cardboard inserts.
Thanks for this video and especially your couch measurements. Mine is even bigger & deeper and purchasing slipcovers is nothing but catastrophic for me!
I would have taken the back pillows off, covered it, and then put the back cushions on top of the slip cover. Might have held things down better and given you more room to fit the rest of the couch because I do think it looks weird and lumpy with the back cushions underneath the slipcover.
definitely looks nicer than the first one, but yeah the one piece business is for the birds from what I can tell. I've been looking around for options, and I think my sofa is about the size of your large one, so I'm going to avoid mama mia. I'm going to try surefit and see how it goes.
@@LolaGeek I did see it. I didnt love that cover and thought mama mia looked nicer because it fit more snugly. It looked better on your second couch. Though appreciate that the first one was a 2 piece, I think there are nicer versions out there. If you are happy with yours though, that is the main thing.
We didn't keep the Mamma Mia cover because it didn't really fit our couch - but check out my other sofa cover video, we've had these for a couple years now and they're great! th-cam.com/video/FE80sFH4kuU/w-d-xo.html

Thanks! I did find another brand of slipcovers that we've been using for a few years now - and they get lots of use 😆
This was what I was afraid of before I order for my 4 seater. My couch is also super over sized. Looks like they need to make these things bigger.

Literally the best review of something ever!!
Wow thank you!

The cats make all kinds of chores more interesting 😂
I have one, loved the feeling of the fabric but the cardboard pieces pop out too often.
I do think they work way better if you up a size from the recommendation. But ultimately, the one-piece style is not my favorite.

You guys I love it!!! I’m going to purchase!! Thank you for sharing!!!
Thanks, glad it was helpful!
Seemed like a good buy at first but they never seem to stay put.:)
Thanks for this video and especially your couch measurements. Mine is even bigger & deeper and purchasing slipcovers is nothing but catastrophic for me!
Hope you find something! I did a previous review of a different brand that fits our huge couch great - it's still going strong after several years!
Love this review!
Thank you!

I would have too, but they are permanently attached 🤷🏼♀️

If you didn't already see it, I also have a video about the two-piece cover set we tried - still working great for us!

Thanks for the review! Is that color like a pinkish color ??
It's like a warm light beige 🙂 Thanks for watching!
What size did you put on for video?
I think this was the 4-seater size (their largest size), but wasn't _quite_ big enough for our humongous sofa 😆
I enjoyed this video! New sub!
Thank you so much!!
I just brought 2 and i have 2 cats lets see
What is the measurement of your sofa??
What’s the material?
According to their web site, this style is 100% polyester and is hypoallergenic - it was very soft and stretchy.
How has it held up to cat scratching?
We didn't keep the Mamma Mia cover because it didn't really fit our couch - but check out my other sofa cover video, we've had these for a couple years now and they're great!

What was the price? Thank you
Looks like they're running around $200 right now?
Nvrmind…..you said your measurements..Ty
Excellent
Did your cat scratch it?
This cover? Nope!
Mata ganna ona.kohomada ganne.
Oh my goodness, take off the other cover. 😂 😊
I did, keep watching 😂
Pool noodles work great and they’re $1
Omg the amount of adds
😂 I don't know why, but there's a ton of couch cover companies who want to advertise on videos about other couch covers!
