I'm dyslexic so I was trusting you in the beginning, but it kept looking backwards to me. Glad you had the energy to fix it haha. Most people would have given up. Great job.
I’m sooooooo glad I’m not the only one who gets frustrated and tired during sewing projects that taking longer than expected. I thought it was just me…
Thank you for showing some of the correct ways to upholster furniture instead of what some videos show as 'hacks' (or, what I call WRONG) - since I was employed by a designer furniture manufacturer I do have insight to the proper procedure... PS: if you ever decide to undertake another piece, invest in an air stapler for failsafe (aaand super easy)l stapling. There are other upholstery supplies that will ensure lifetime use of your hard work, but only if you become addicted to saving the freebies that other people have discarded! Your efforts are lovely
Thank you for the tips! I will definitely invest in a better stapler if i do another project like this--it's too much physical work to not have great tools 😅. I have heard of sailrite and totally forgot about them (I used to have a wholesale business making products out of heavy canvas and was so close to buying one of their machines years ago). I will for sure check them out! Thanks again! :)
Thank you for sharing, it looks fab, and you did a super job. It’s nice you didn’t cut out your mistake with the sewing of sides, frustrations and amount of time it took. So many tutorials make it look like a quick, easy job and the reality is different as I am finding out as I attempt a reupholster of a footstool.
Great tutorial. I’ve done this before, you are so correct, it’s soooo physical and yet so rewarding. You did a great job. Just goes to prove, recycling pays!!!
Riveting to watch - on a couple of levels. You didn't just reupholster a couch m'dear, you also inspired thousands of women in a countless number of ways. Self-esteem doesn't fall from the sky and land in the laps of women lucky enough to have perfect lives. We can only receive genuine, long lasting self-esteem when we set a goal, and then reach that goal - come hell or high water! In other words, we Earn self-esteem...(Lol...and, as we all know, reaching a goal starts in the mind, so ya, the process is gonna be a bitch on our feelings! But hey, whatta pay-off!). Your video is as much a legitimate diary of a woman earning real, and bullet-proof self-worth, as it is an amazing tutorial on how to reupholster a sectional couch. Many thanks!
As an upholsterer, I would say that I commend you on the courage to upholster sofa as a first upholstery project. I will get at least $5000 with a median priced fabric to do this sectional, so $800 is not a lot of money. Some suggestions when making cushions: base the cover measurements on the deck that the cushions sit on, the cushion boxing (that's the band sewn between the top and bottom) should have a finished measurement 1/2" less than what the thickness of the foam is, Super Loft 1 oz. bonded dacron which is available in 54" width, I found works best (cost a little more, but worth it) and for best results wrap the whole cushion especially when using the original foam. One other note on cushions: the larger the cushion is, the more apt it is to wrinkle and get out of shape over time. And the most important tool you can have, is Patience. I have been doing this for decades, and I can tell you that without patience, you won't be able to enjoy the process. When frustrated or unsure about something, take a break. It's just upholstery, not some life changing event.
I took apart a shade over my daughter's window to redo in new fabric. When I saw how many staples that removed I went & got an electric staple gun. Never regretted it. I've used it several more times on cornices etc. When I first saw you pinning & sewing the first cover parts, I thought oh no, they're backwards. Your sofa turned out fabulous!!!
Good to know! I will probably invest in one eventually, because I'll probably do more upholstery at some point! Yes, when I realized I did the first cover backwards I though "DOH!!" :D Won't do that again!
This looks gorgeous and you've inspired me to try to recover my own sofa. I felt bad at the thought of throwing out something that was basically in good shape because it's wasteful (both in terms of money and resources) just because you don't like the color but, when the cover I bought didn't cut it, I had almost decided to do it. But now I'm going to try to cover it. I mean, you can spend ages plus a lot of money chasing the 'perfect' sofa, it's so much more resourceful to redo what you already have, assuming you can deal with the work involved!
Beautiful. Now I have a clear path to completing my 3pc sectional. It's been a journey watching the tube trying to get the best results and skill set I need from start to finish this type of project. You nailed it. Awesome job. Thanks for sharing. Please leave your clothing website info.
Yes ma’am! I’m about to tackle an rv renovation and plan on reupholstering everything in the camper!! The only thing I would have done differently is fold the bottom edge under itself before stapling!
Casey….you did a phenomenal job!!!! I helped a friend recover her couch….yes it WAS ALOT OF WORK… and there was two of us!! I’m soo proud of you hanging in there thru the redo’s n that stapler! Done that too! The fabric you chose was modern, chic, and fabulous!!! I would love to try doing it again myself! ….BTW I read that it’s best to have padding between fabric and foam due to a reaction between the two….and therefore your fabric won’t last as long if you don’t do it. You have inspired me!!!
As someone who just got her first apartment by her self and got a huge sectional but doesn’t like the color/ fabric. This motivated me to try to update it
Necessity is definitely the mother of invention. In this case re-invention. It turned out fantastic. I’ve completely reupholstered chairs (in my younger days 👵🏻) but never a whole sofa (just remade cushions) and I sympathize with all the aches and frustration that goes into the process. But so happy when it all comes together as you envisioned. You go girl!
Thank you! Yes, the process definitely tested me several times! 😅But man I love this couch so much. So glad I did this project, for sure one of my faves!
This is great I spent a lot on my sectional from west elm and I’m not doing it again, sold it and now this time around I’m going to buy the fabric and do it myself.
I was wondering how you were going to get the inside ACTUALLY on the inside, minute 12 made me giggle. But it's a great mistake that I (as a novice) would make, and find this VERY helpful!!!!! Thanks for not editing that part of the process out!!!
It turned out great, I'm planing on doing the same thing with my old couch. Thank you for the tips. I get it. I was using an old stepler for a large project. I did a run to the store and hot an electric one. It was a game changer, so good for my arthritic hands.
Great video. I don't think people realize how simple it is to recover furniture and you showed this very well. Love the fabric choice, looks fantastic!
I knew you were doing it wrong. Wish I could have told you. It's good that you kept that in to show how to do it correctly. Couches are a pain to recover. But, you did an amazing job on yours. It looks great. Really like that fabric too.
Thank you so much for taping this! It's exactly what I needed to see! I'm just doing an accent chair but was feeling a bit apprehensive about doing the reupholstery. I absolutely love the way you just charge ahead! No fear! You're SUCH an inspiration! Again, many thanks!
This looks GREAT! I know it was frustrating as heck, but I am inspired to try this! I also love that you put all the cushions together into one, so it stays clean easier (no bits and bobs falling down between cushions!) and also people who sit down and stand up aggressively (HUSBAND, DEAR) don't move the cushions. ALSO, the stuff you put under the feet is awesome to keep it from scooching around (also from said husband flopping down on the couch). Fantastic job!!
I love that material! It is so updated and sophisticated. The brown monstrosity had to go. Your sewing skills are so professional. You could easily start a slipcover or cushion cover business on the side. Excellent!
You must be very proud when you look at the finished product, it looks fantastic and it will encourage people to revamp furniture instead of taking it to the dumpster (which far too many people do) thanks ❤
I could watch this all day to learn. Thanks for making that mistake, It's makes the video real. For us do it yourself people like me. When mistakes aren't made we go away from that video. I'm redoing my living room my way about to start putting down a floor from my living room. Wish us luck.
JUST WATCHED THIS AND WOW YOU ARE SO INSPIRING. What a great transformation and such beautiful handiwork. It’s really easy to follow your process as well! Thank you for sharing this project! 💛
wow, you show us it is way, by I bought sofa cover before two years but it was difficult to change but now I got a big solution from you. Thank you very much
This was incredible to watch! I wish I could figure out how to film my projects but just always get so caught up in the doing vs the filming. Thank you for this!
It’s amazing to see your process and how you put things together. I always thought upholstery is so complicated but this is the first time someone explains it this way ❤❤❤thank you
Love this video! I love sectionals. You did a great job! It's so funny how a man will go for the ugliest thing for comfort and you made it beautiful! You & your husband did each other a favor. I now have confidence I can tackle my own reupholstery project. Just discovered your channel with the diy ironing mat & will make that first. I've been sewing forever too & though I can make just about any garment from scratch, these days, thrifting & restyling/resizing is what makes sense.
your covers are impeccable. very streamlined and professional looking. A huge project but every time you seat you can revel in the fact that you made that cover by yourself with your hands. I have a couch pattern and had dreams of covering my couch 2 years ago. Its so intimidating and Ive put it off for years.
Excellent work with beautiful results! Very impressive . I’m curious to know what was the total amount of fabric did you use to complete your project? I have a similar shaped couch that I am interested in covering. Thanks
Thank you! I ordered 30 yards but I think I ended up using around 25 yards (which was what I estimated from measurements of the couch). I definitely recommend ordering a little extra just to be safe!
THE best tutorial on reupholstering a sofa... I've watched tons of videos and this one was the one that helped me wrap my ahead around the project (even the mistakes were important to know!). 🎯🤩🤩
Can't wait to do mine... The couches I bought at a garage sale was worth almost $4000. I got them for $350. Outdated... but great bones.... they're 45" thick (great for beds) when company come over or grandkids... LOL
The Arrow electric stapler ( Home Depot or Lowes) does an excellent job and I definitely recommend it for projects like this. As I recall it was around $60. A few years ago I completely reupholstered my daughter’s and son-in-law’s 3 year old couch from West Elm(!) because the fabric did not hold up well to their cat and my 3 year old grandson. Since that was a big project and they had a compressor available, I bought a compressor powered stapler from Sailright for that. But last year I wanted a different fabric on a chest style footstool I bought from Amazon. I didn’t feel like getting the compressor out and hauling it up to my sewing room so I bought the Arrow one. I was really impressed with it. I am getting ready to reupholster a chair in our family room and will definitely be using the Arrow! Upholstering is a big job for sure but if you sew already it’s not that hard and you save SO MUCH $!
@@PatternScout ….and every time you look at it you have a sense of accomplishment, right? Can you tell I’m working my way through all your TH-cam videos?😂your couch looks great by the way.
Great job!! I'm an HVAC tech and I do woodworking as a hobby. Your work and explanation 👌 is on point, but you definitely need an inexpensive small air compressor with a staple gun. I have that same staple gun you used for small simple projects . Anyway just want to say beautiful work, Going to watch this video again together with my daughter.❤ God bless
I love this video. The whole time you were doing the back rest, I was wondering how it would go right side on!! And you had to redo the whole thing !!! But i love it that you showed the mistake too. Great video! I’ll be doing this for my sectional
All I can say is " WOW ",you did an excellent job. If you were buying retail you would have spent somewhere around three thousand dollars . I could never come close to what you did .👍
Thank you!! Yes! All of the couches I was looking at were $2k-3k...and I'm not in a place where I can justify that expense! haha. On a regular basis I say out loud how happy I am with this couch! 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial! The only thing I did learn somewhere else is to use a strip of cardboard at the end where you fold and staple the fabric to make a smoother finish and help to relieve the tension of the staples on the fabric.
You inspired me to go forward with starting my reupholstering business, thank you alot, and you really showed me something with how you hide the zipper, you did a great job🙏💯
Great job! Thank you for including your mistake, makes me feel hopeful for myself. Good job not messing with the frame. Such a good job on the zippers! Smart to take that down the side a bit. Tools matter!
Really nice sewing work!!! I never got into sewing but I always find it fascinating when other people sew and completely change looks of clothes or you with the couch. So nice, the result looks amazing.
I have to do mine, I thank you for leaving the mistake of sewing it backwards on video because I was going to do the same thing 😅so thank you thank you for sharing this detail❤ Now i feel more confident to do mine wich its very similar to yours. You are very talented keep doing that beautiful job that you do.❤😊
I can definitely relate when it comes to the battle with the staple gun. I refinished and upholstered my dining set with a staple gun that wasn't the best so thanks for sharing. You did an excellent job!!!
Wow the couch is awesome!u have a great gift..you can sew anything you want. I know how to draw and paint but am so interested to sew..i keep on watching sewing videos from youtube..i hope to be able to sew like you...
Thank you So much for showing your decision making with the cushion height, and the stapler problem. You saved so much money on this project that it was totally worth buying a great new staple gun! I hope to recover my recliner soon (yikes-no idea how hard it will be), snd you’re inspiring me to get started!
I was cringing the whole time I saw you fitting wrong side out - thank goodness you caught it before the second frame. If you haven't purchased an electric stapler yet, please check them out - they are SO worth it and not that expensive. I get by with electric but husband has a power operated. Your sofa is just gorgeous!
Wow lady you did an outstanding job on that sectional. I love the color and the fabric choice. The color is more modern and it brightens up your living room
This is really useful. We have a disaster sofa with attached cushions and your video clearly explains how to convert attached into unattached cushions. It is really difficult to buy a good new sofa. The quality seems impossible to predict. The original fabric started looking worn at 3 months (!) but at least we got a good sale price, and it's a steel spring and hardwood frame. I know someone who spent $4,000 on a sofa, and had to have it recovered and partially rebuilt after 2 years. Much better to repurpose.
I have actually used landscaping felt for the bottom of couches and beds it works just the same I even put some on the bottom of my reupholstered kitchen chairs.
Thank you for the video! It was exactly my question up until you said it, when I saw it was asymmetrical and inside out I was puzzled because I could not see how it could fit, thanks again!
This was a fantastic realistic video, as i have MS i think it will take me 10- 14 days to complete my upholstery especially as ill need regular rests. Plus my sofa is an L shape with a kingsize sofa bed inside, so ill have to work around that huge section. Either way this will save me money as you have made me realise I can do this and not to cut corners on equipment, ive already ordered the stable gun lol. Thanks for a great video, I hope I do a great job like yourself 👍🏾😃
It is beautiful!! And thank you for showing how upholstering is not an easy job at all..I have been doing it for others and they think its crazy for the cost, but I say do it yourself or go and buy some new chairs..😊 ..its not easy doing this as you've shown, and you didn't give up! 👍🏾
I want so badly to recover my sectional. You make it look so easy! It might take me a month; I haven’t used a sewing machine in over 20 years. But, I do have one lol. I might try, I can always have cushion covers made if I struggle with the sewing. You are very talented & skillful - and your sofa came out really nice. Thanks for sharing!
What a masterclass! It's surprising how the finish and upholstery of a sofa can totally change the way we use it and its aesthetic and functional value not only because of the materials but also because of the colors. As a leather lover, I've always liked models with that upholstery. I convinced my wife to get an LC3 Sofa from Manhattan Home Design because I really like the combination of the black leather with the tubular steel frame. I think that, if she had chosen a fabric model, eventually I would've convinced her to reupholster it and put leather on it. xD Thanks for sharing this!
WOW, you did a wonderful job on that couch. It looks brand new and the fabric as well as the color is very nice. You have inspired me to start working on mine couch after watching you.
Brilliant tutorial. I really liked the idea of joining the sofa cushions together to make one long cushion. I realise this is now 2 years old which i think is the perfect time to ask how your fabric, joins and stitching has handled use? My main worry with joining the 3 cushions was them separating and creating a cavity over time.
THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF THE BEST ONES I'VE SEEN. GETTING A NEW SECTIONAL BUT WANT TO KEEP OUR OVERSIZED CHAIR WITH OTTOMAN. I WANT THE CHAIR TO BLEND IN WITH OUR SECTIONAL. BY THE WAY YOUR WORK WAS OUTSTANDING AND YOUR SECTIONAL IS DEFINITELY BEAUTIFUL WITH THIS REDO!!
Amazing skills, Amazing work 👏. I was so scared when I saw you pinning the fabric the wrong way, in the begging. We all learn from our mistakes. ❤👏👏🤗 I never buy couches with attached pillows 😉
Great project. It looks fantastic!!!!!!! It worth every minute of that week. And the first mistake was the best one. It made you more aware of the fabric and everything. Good job! Thanks for sharing!!!!!!!
I am not sure why I didn’t see this on the original release buuuut… damn! I am confident in stating that I wouldn’t have the wear-with-all to tackle this type of project! You really did a phenomenal job on it! Kudos, Casey!
Well done...mammoth effort!! I have made a number of cushions with that zipper method as going around the corners really helps when having to wash covers. We have carved with a bread knife foam to create shapes to fit into chairs as well!! xxxxx
You really did a great job! It's amazing. I just think over to reupholster my sofa since months, but I had not the courage to, but now, when I see how you managed this - I am really motivated - thank you very much!
I just watched this and I am amazed at your skills! Obviously your sewing skills but just the thought and patience and calculation you had to ensure this project was done beautifully! Iv watched a few others where they did the no sew approach for a quick fix which is completely fine if that’s what you would prefer to do but they did not take the little extra time to still create a perfect (obviously almost perfect) looking precision as much as like new look that you would want your couch to look. Just because your glueing and stapleing your seams or covering the sides and edges doesn’t mean you should lax on any of the fine details as best you can… in my opinion… and although they did make the effort to redo the couch period… you still need to make alittle more of an effort so your project doesn’t look half-***** if you know what I mean. Make your efforts show your pride in your project. Some couch seats just had alittle too much material causing them to look baggy and sloppy where as they could have still looked amazing with the spray glue by just. Wing alittle more precise. So my point to all that is… watching your video only backed my thinking because you took more time than you planned and really “planned” each part of your project and executed with thought and patience that made your couch look completely brand new seriously I saw no difference in it being brand new or not. You did a wonderful job your couch looks amazing and beautiful and you should totall be proud because I loved the finish project and you inspired me to do the best job I can on my couch (which is the whole reason I’m viewing lots of different videos to begin with) And in regards to the other videos I’m referring to…don’t get me wrong they did great jobs for. Ever having done this before and not sewing the materials and what not but I think just alittle more effort and patience and thought of what the final outcome should look like their projects would have come out even better than what they did. I commend them for their attempt however the effort could have held alittle higher of a standard. I mean if your gonna go thru all that do your very best effort. Again in my opinion because after all your couch is the main focus inthe living room and again if your going to take in that project and do all that work “always put your best effort in everything you do” Again to anybody reading this I am in no way trying to be mean but In my opinion I felt some people did good and it’s great that they even tried I give all the praise to that but they could have really done great jobs if they would have just put all their best effort in and after watching this video and taking out the fact that you did sew yours as opposed to the non sew method you put more into your effort which I didn’t see in the other videos and your couch looks wonderful. The other videos I saw the couches came out good they really did but they could have come out great with just alittle more pride in the effort. That’s just my opinion but I really enjoyed this video and I learned some things some tips as I did from all the videos I watched and. I matter what method I decide to try or whatever the thing I took away most from all the videos is to just give my best effort and don’t do something half-*****! Because it will make all the difference. Great video! Well done your couch I would have never thought it wasn’t brand.new from a store !!!!
Beautiful job! Wow, you must be Proud of yourself, I love to sew, but I haven’t any energy lately! I’m older now so maybe in spring I’ll start up! Thank you so much for sharing! ❤️
So far this is the most informative sofa re-upholstery video. You turned someone's trash to treasure.
I'm dyslexic so I was trusting you in the beginning, but it kept looking backwards to me. Glad you had the energy to fix it haha. Most people would have given up. Great job.

You did that girl!!!! Now my daughter is giving me her old sectional and I’m gonna try this. Thank you for explaining it soooo well. Congratulations!
Thanks so much, glad it was helpful! You can do it! :)
1 question. My sofa is probably the same size as yours. You ordered 30 yards, plus 5 more for good measure, lol, did you have any left over?
Amazing! Was this your first time doing this? You're pretty awesome!@@PatternScout
Beautiful, very professional, thank you for including the mistakes as that makes me feel that it won’t kill me to make mistakes.

I love that material! It is so updated and sophisticated. The brown monstrosity had to go. Your sewing skills are so professional. You could easily start a slipcover or cushion cover business on the side. Excellent!
Wow! You are amazing! I wish I had the guts and ability to do this to my ugly sofa.
Nice work. Feeling a little envious of your skill. 🙂
Yikes .. cushions over and over again until you go gaga!
You must be very proud when you look at the finished product, it looks fantastic and it will encourage people to revamp furniture instead of taking it to the dumpster (which far too many people do) thanks ❤
Wow! I love that you have confidence and took on the challenge. The couch looks fabulous!
Thank you! :)
wow, you show us it is way, by I bought sofa cover before two years but it was difficult to change but now I got a big solution from you. Thank you very much
You’re absolutely crafty! I truly enjoyed your entire process, I can’t say I’ll try it, but I appreciate your determination!
Thanks so much! :)
Can see why professionals charge so much- so much work! Looks great 😊
This was incredible to watch! I wish I could figure out how to film my projects but just always get so caught up in the doing vs the filming.
Thank you for this!
It’s amazing to see your process and how you put things together. I always thought upholstery is so complicated but this is the first time someone explains it this way ❤❤❤thank you
Loved this. The sectional looks amazing! I am about to start a similar project and this was just what I needed. Thank you so much for this content!
Thank you!! So glad it is helpful--good luck with your project! 😊
Brilliant that looks so professional, well done, wish I could do that ! Xx
your covers are impeccable. very streamlined and professional looking. A huge project but every time you seat you can revel in the fact that you made that cover by yourself with your hands. I have a couch pattern and had dreams of covering my couch 2 years ago. Its so intimidating and Ive put it off for years.
Thank you! It is a big project, but definitely rewarding!
🎯🤩🤩
Thank you so much! Glad it was helpful (mistakes and all!) :)
Unbelievable result! Was going to toss my furniture but now am convinced I can do this. Thank you!
Awesome! So glad it was helpful!
Can't wait to do mine... The couches I bought at a garage sale was worth almost $4000. I got them for $350. Outdated... but great bones.... they're 45" thick (great for beds) when company come over or grandkids... LOL
Wow! That's awesome!
WOW ! What a FABULOUS job ! And what a GREAT IDEA making one cushion out of 3 separate ones ,I would never have thought of that …
Thanks! Combining them definitely helps them stay on the couch better!
That is great to know, thank you! Yes, re-upholstering save me lots of money and I love this couch!
@@PatternScout ….and every time you look at it you have a sense of accomplishment, right? Can you tell I’m working my way through all your TH-cam videos?😂your couch looks great by the way.
Omg, that was terrific. I'm a woodworker that builds a lot of outside furniture but you've inspired me to try my first attempt at reupholstering.
Thank you so much!
@@PatternScout just subscribed and will share videos with others, and you're very welcome.
I cant believe how BEAU-TI-FUL it turned out! WOW! Fantastic job!!!!!!!!
I am impressed! You saved a ton of money and have furniture you can be proud of. Congratulations on a great job.
Thanks so much!
I love this video. The whole time you were doing the back rest, I was wondering how it would go right side on!! And you had to redo the whole thing !!! But i love it that you showed the mistake too. Great video! I’ll be doing this for my sectional
I'm so glad! It was definitely a journey 😅 thanks for watching!
Oh that's a really good idea, thanks for sharing! And watching! :)
Thank you! I feel like mistakes (and working through them) are good to show :)
Really nice sewing work!!! I never got into sewing but I always find it fascinating when other people sew and completely change looks of clothes or you with the couch. So nice, the result looks amazing.
Thank you! 😊
I have to do mine, I thank you for leaving the mistake of sewing it backwards on video because I was going to do the same thing 😅so thank you thank you for sharing this detail❤
Now i feel more confident to do mine wich its very similar to yours.
You are very talented keep doing that beautiful job that you do.❤😊
I can definitely relate when it comes to the battle with the staple gun. I refinished and upholstered my dining set with a staple gun that wasn't the best so thanks for sharing. You did an excellent job!!!
Thank you! Yes, a bad tool can derail the experience! 😅
I love the material. I caught that you sewed it the wrong way because I have done the same. Nice to see I;m not alone. I took mine down to the bones.
Thank you! You gave me the confidence to give my couch a go! Lol. Been putting this off for a year.
Haha yes it was touch and go for a minute there! Thanks for watching! :)
Wow lady you did an outstanding job on that sectional. I love the color and the fabric choice. The color is more modern and it brightens up your living room
Thank you so much!
I had the same brown couch but lacked the skills to reupholster so we replaced it. Fantastic job. I’d love to learn to sew.
Thank you for the video! It was exactly my question up until you said it, when I saw it was asymmetrical and inside out I was puzzled because I could not see how it could fit, thanks again!
Omg, I feel like I can do it! Need a old couch NOW
Just bought a sectional that was gently used and I want to change the color. Hoping this video helps me🥰
I loved the combined seat cushions. Really well done
Congrats. Looks lovely. I learnt that an electric staple gun is the only way to go.
It was a work of love. You save yourself from making the bones of the sofa. Great job.
Thank you!
It is beautiful!! And thank you for showing how upholstering is not an easy job at all..I have been doing it for others and they think its crazy for the cost, but I say do it yourself or go and buy some new chairs..😊 ..its not easy doing this as you've shown, and you didn't give up! 👍🏾
Not easy at all!! Haha. May be a while before I tackle something like this again :) thanks so much for watching!
Wow, girl!!!!!! Oh my goodness. Hats off to you! Tell your husband he is LUCKY.
Thank you! Oh, I remind him regularly 😜😂❤️
Wow! I can imagine how much work this took, but seeing the result was really worth it. turned out to be beautiful 👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much!
You did a great job❣️ My uncle was given a nice lounge chair, came to find out it had bed bugs inside. He spent so much money on an exterminator😪
Thanks so much for watching! :)
I hope your hubby appreciates your work!
Wow! You did an amazing job! I would never have tackled that couch. After watching you, I have new eyes.
Thank you so much! 🥰
WOW, you did a wonderful job on that couch.
It looks brand new and the fabric as well as the color is very nice.
You have inspired me to start working on mine couch after watching you.
I love the color and texture of that fabric.
OMG! That is something I would do....sewing the wrong way!🫣 your sweet poochie helped you to keep a level head!
Lol I wondered when she was going to notice. . She cut it wrong then too.
Thank you!!
Amazing skills, Amazing work 👏.
I was so scared when I saw you pinning the fabric the wrong way, in the begging.
We all learn from our mistakes. ❤👏👏🤗
I never buy couches with attached pillows 😉
Thank you for making this my couch is the exact same shape and it works in my space so well I just want to update the fabric!!
Great project. It looks fantastic!!!!!!! It worth every minute of that week. And the first mistake was the best one. It made you more aware of the fabric and everything. Good job! Thanks for sharing!!!!!!!
Thank you!
I am not sure why I didn’t see this on the original release buuuut… damn! I am confident in stating that I wouldn’t have the wear-with-all to tackle this type of project! You really did a phenomenal job on it! Kudos, Casey!
Thank you! You, know, I doubt i'll be doing this again anytime soon because this project TESTED ME on many levels hahaha ;)
Well done...mammoth effort!! I have made a number of cushions with that zipper method as going around the corners really helps when having to wash covers. We have carved with a bread knife foam to create shapes to fit into chairs as well!! xxxxx
You did a awesome job . I use to recover furniture many years ago . I think you did a awesome job 👍.
Thank you!!
You really did a great job! It's amazing. I just think over to reupholster my sofa since months, but I had not the courage to, but now, when I see how you managed this - I am really motivated - thank you very much!
Thank you so much!
Again in my opinion because after all your couch is the main focus inthe living room and again if your going to take in that project and do all that work “always put your best effort in everything you do”
Again to anybody reading this I am in no way trying to be mean but In my opinion I felt some people did good and it’s great that they even tried I give all the praise to that but they could have really done great jobs if they would have just put all their best effort in and after watching this video and taking out the fact that you did sew yours as opposed to the non sew method you put more into your effort which I didn’t see in the other videos and your couch looks wonderful.
Omg you are amazing! you have given me inspo to change my grey corner sofa to the same material as yours. What a transformation. xx
Beautiful job! Wow, you must be Proud of yourself, I love to sew, but I haven’t any energy lately! I’m older now so maybe in spring I’ll start up! Thank you so much for sharing! ❤️
Thank you so much for the kind words! ❤
You brought the couch back to life .I love the new look, upholstery is something that scares me a lot
Thanks! :) It's a big project, but so rewarding! May take me a while to be ready for something like this again, though haha.
