Their children could have easily gotten taken and hidden on the ship that would take DAYS to search for them. A staff member could have easily went into their room and harmed them as well.

@@bremcdonald Last cruise I was on our cabin was 15 minutes away from the dining hall. I forgot something and had to go back to my room so thats how I know. I was shocked it was so far away because with everything else going on and being out and about on the boat it didn't feel that way until I had to go directly there.
@@bremcdonaldcruise ships are huge. Dinner usually happens in the dining room and therefore away from the actual cabins. You most likely have to battle crowds and go either up or down stairs or elevators to get back to your room. Even if you take away big crowds you’re still a pretty decent walk away.

I was a nanny for a family who told me I could leave their youngest at their house alone to nap while I went go to pick up the older one from school. Bc “it‘s only 5 min away.” Their car had been stolen twice out of their backyard. Absolutely not. I cannot imagine how scary that would be to wake up and no adults are there as a 2 year old. Good on you for having better sense than the parents! I remember some times as a very small child where I woke up to no one in the house and I panicked every time. When you're too young to know how to read, they can't even leave you a note, and you don't have a cell phone to call anyone either (or know how to use the landline in my case). Even if adults aren't that far away, a little kid doesn't know that, and they deserve to feel secure.

What’s nuts to me is that the kids clubs and nurseries on cruises are generally so sooooo well done. Older kids it can be hit or miss due to interactions with the other kids but for the young young ones it tends to go really well. The fact they decided the kids didn’t like it and then resorted to leaving them unsupervised is insane
The kids were probably hell on earth to deal with no thanks to Matt and Abby’s hands off parenting style. Rarely do kids clubs call parents so often. M&A we’re probably very snarky too. Matt’s story when G was throwing rocks at other kids on the playground makes me think the kids club didn’t want them there because of their behavior. Not blaming the children of course.

Also, we know it isn't as if they can't afford it. Them deciding to do this means they made not one, but multiple bad decisions. Also, watching a baby monitor (facetime in their case) is different at home. You can easily run to the next room. You can't do that on a cruise ship.

When I was a kid, and my family was staying in a hotel, I remember NEVER being able to go places without my mom or my dad. I want food? Mom or dad took me. I want to go swimming? Mom or dad took me. If I wanted to go to the children's area? Mom or dad took me. They never let me out of their sight when we were on trips. And if my parents wanted to do something alone, they would ask my aunt, uncle, or grandparents. If none of the other family members were there, they wouldn't do it and plan it for a time when my brother and I could be watched. This is absolutely insane.

Him and my husband are also great friends and close too. I’m glad we have the relationship we do not just for my son but also for us.
All she did was complain about her kids the entire trip. As a mom of 3 whos kids are grown now...this disgusts me. She sees her kids as an inconvenience during her vacation instead of spending time with them. The kids are ALSO on vacation and she did NOTHING to make it fun for them...just treated them like they were a burden. If she wanted a trip without kids...why not hire someone to take care of them while they did their selfish activities? God knows they have enough money to do that. I have been on so many cruises and I think a big point people miss here is that these ships have sometimes 15+ levels. Often the dining areas can be on the complete opposite side and elevators are always crammed and you could wait for one for 10+ mins. Yes, there are stairs, but if an emergency did occur, it would take you AT LEAST 20 mins to get to them which could be too late. We’ve brought our kids on cruises and have NEVER even thought to leave them behind in the room. One of us always stayed while the other went to get food and bring it back to the room. This is so irresponsible of Matt and Abby.

@@bremcdonald Last cruise I was on our cabin was 15 minutes away from the dining hall. I forgot something and had to go back to my room so thats how I know. I was shocked it was so far away because with everything else going on and being out and about on the boat it didn't feel that way until I had to go directly there.

You most likely have to battle crowds and go either up or down stairs or elevators to get back to your room. Even if you take away big crowds you’re still a pretty decent walk away.

Good on you for having better sense than the parents! I remember some times as a very small child where I woke up to no one in the house and I panicked every time. When you're too young to know how to read, they can't even leave you a note, and you don't have a cell phone to call anyone either (or know how to use the landline in my case). Even if adults aren't that far away, a little kid doesn't know that, and they deserve to feel secure.

What’s nuts to me is that the kids clubs and nurseries on cruises are generally so sooooo well done. Older kids it can be hit or miss due to interactions with the other kids but for the young young ones it tends to go really well. The fact they decided the kids didn’t like it and then resorted to leaving them unsupervised is insane
The kids were probably hell on earth to deal with no thanks to Matt and Abby’s hands off parenting style. Rarely do kids clubs call parents so often. M&A we’re probably very snarky too. Matt’s story when G was throwing rocks at other kids on the playground makes me think the kids club didn’t want them there because of their behavior. Not blaming the children of course.

When I was a kid, and my family was staying in a hotel, I remember NEVER being able to go places without my mom or my dad. I want food? Mom or dad took me. I want to go swimming? Mom or dad took me. If I wanted to go to the children's area? Mom or dad took me. They never let me out of their sight when we were on trips. And if my parents wanted to do something alone, they would ask my aunt, uncle, or grandparents. If none of the other family members were there, they wouldn't do it and plan it for a time when my brother and I could be watched. This is absolutely insane.

Great example of "its not because you can have children, that you should.." They recently had a solo trip? I get that as a parent some time alone is crucial but leaving your kids alone in a massive ship? Why get kids if you dont want to be around them. Everything they do is just for appearance, stupid influencer stuff.. be a responsible parent for a change. Not the first time they've been in the spotlight for the wrong reasons.

@@aj-ic9vz That wasn't a cruise and it happened 11 years ago. It wasn't a locked room or a place with tons of cameras and the parents weren't watching with a monitor. Lets say someone had an elaborate plan to kidnap their kids, where exactly are they taking them? Its a cruise. You people need a reality check. What a way to live.

I have been on so many cruises and I think a big point people miss here is that these ships have sometimes 15+ levels. Often the dining areas can be on the complete opposite side and elevators are always crammed and you could wait for one for 10+ mins. Yes, there are stairs, but if an emergency did occur, it would take you AT LEAST 20 mins to get to them which could be too late. We’ve brought our kids on cruises and have NEVER even thought to leave them behind in the room. One of us always stayed while the other went to get food and bring it back to the room. This is so irresponsible of Matt and Abby.

I’m sorry, but there are some people that just shouldn’t have kids. There are SO many people who wish they could have children and they would love and protect them more than they EVER could. They do not deserve those kids
Nobody deserves kids and it's not just "some" people that shouldn't have them. Too many people have kids for selfish, arbitrary reasons and the people that "wish they could have children" could really be using all of that time and energy to care for people that are already here and struggling. Reproduction is inherently selfish and I'm tired of people pointing at the breeders that happen to be on social media going "THEY'RE DOING IT WRONG"
This particular couple is on social media broadcasting their actions so we can see it all and comment on it. Do you know what's happening in households across the world?? Across the US alone??? Negligent things like this are happening all the time and it's just not on camera. Do you know how many parents are out there having multiple kids and then leaving them alone with each other on a constant basis? Do you know how frequent it is for kids to be abandoned? I know parents will sometimes have to make compromises or decisions that would get them judged if they were broadcast for the whole internet but this is crazy especially because it was so unnecessary. The way people overshare is wild. Don’t post your vacations or trips until after you come back or don’t say much at all. Just by looking at the room it looks like Royal Caribbean cruise line. They posted this all in real time and people are watching. They probably did a countdown of this vacation weeks out and said when they were leaving and shit. Absolutely insane and reckless.
This is such a crazy thing to do. Cruise ships are KNOWN for the fact that crimes that happen on them can't really be prosecuted because theyre in international waters. Also. they really brought TODDLERS on a CRUISE? And expected them to not be kind of upset at such a huge change in environment? I dont think they planned this ahead of time but still geez.

For those who haven't gone one cruises.... they literally have babies nurseries for this reason so parents can have child care. Leaving their kids in the room while they slept and you watched, sounds ok to me... they are close to the room and can go back at any time. It's like watching them sleep upstairs while you're watching a movie downstairs

But it's everything combined that makes me not view this in good faith- why would you pay the money for the cruise just to have them basically get babysat and complain you have to be a parent and expect to have an adult experience... leave them at home??? It makes no sense.
They posted a video on instagram addressing this two days ago. They said someone was in the room and Abby left that part out in her story. They both looked so nervous and kept saying “um” a lot trying to cover their tracks.

There's a simple solution if you feel so resentful of your children interrupting your adults only meals - don't bring then on vacation. But then they can't complain nonstop about their kids being kids.
I literally just watched a body cam video of a lady getting arrested for child neglect for leaving her child alone in a hotel room and going to Burger King …. This is no different if not worse
THANK YOU FOR COVERING THIS!!! So far I have only seen Dad Challenge Podcast and Dustin Dailey cover this mess. I can’t have children and it disgusts me that people who claim to love their children would do something as horrendous as this. I have never liked these 2. Matt always rubbed me the wrong way and I believe he may actually be a narcissist. And as for Abby, well she’s not terrible but she plays a part in this mess too so she isn’t innocent either. These two need to go away and just not come back and focus on their children.

If they wanted a kid free cruise…they could have gotten baby sitting or asked their parents to watch the children. I’m shocked that child protective services haven’t been contacted.

This absolutely disgusts me. I don't follow these people but omg can you imagine! I also just got through watching a video about a child being abducted and SA right across the street from her home. Luckily it wasn't due to parent neglect but on that channel, there are so many stories of parents doing stupid things that harm their kids. smh Not every parent deserves children.

My parents always left me alone when I was 6. They went out for dinner when I was sleeping. They never thought so much about it because I was a very well behaved child. But imagine what could have happened. They realized after some years that it was a VERY BAD idea to do that.
