Angus is one of the only guitar players that does not use effect pedals or a whammy bar on his guitar to get his sounds. He has a specific set of amplifiers he tours with and had a repair technician on hand to fix them on the tour. They don't make his amps anymore, so they have to fix them when they break. He goes out and configures his amps at each show because he can "hear" when they are not right.

Angus Young is THE frontman of Accadacca! He is the most dynamic performer in the band. So, if you take into account the fact that he moves around on stage playing solos like a maniac, hoping like a Scottish Australian kangaroo, & command an audience he does, I'd say he's the greatest frontman in Rock & Roll!

❤Do yourself a favor and listen to the version with Bon Scott on vocals. It's not only his voice but his body language and way of delivering the song is mental.
    Keep em coming 🙏

Still remember this Monsters of Rock like it was yesterday, i always used to get as near the front as i could, but at this one i was half way towards the mixing tower, slightly to the right. 30+yrs and still no luck spotting myself, despite being 6'4", i was just another long haired headbanger among thousands.

It is incredibly hard to play a solo on the guitar while running and Angus is almost the only one you will see doing it. He did this as a kid.

Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Kirk Hammett, it doesn't matter! They may be technically better. But just add the duckwalk; they'd be
buggered! No one does it better on stage than Angus!

Castle Donnington where this concert took place is in Newbury UK and Angus has a tendency to wear boxers with whatever national flag of the nation they are playing in when I saw them live in 2001 on the Stiff Upper Lip tour Angus was wearing American flag boxers since the concert was in Dayton Ohio and yes Angus mooned us as well lol

    • @snowblindoz

Not Newbury, it's about 100 miles north of there, funnily enough between Castle Donington and Melbourne, in Derbyshire. I went to the Monsters of Rock every year from 83 on, i think 84 with AC/DC, Van Halen, Ozzy, Motley Crue etc was the stand out.
