This is awesome. Slowinski is a genius and just an awesome guy in general. He doesn't (and many say shouldn't) do this as he is the head coach for one of the best Bowling colleges in the world. But he does it anyways. Simply amazing.
i was having this exact problem, why didnt i find this video sooner, it took weeks of video taping, slow-mo, pausing etc to find out that my elbow was coming out a little making me pull the ball to the nose everytime.
I noticed you were doing the back up ball drill at one point, I see alot of results here, but what exactly did he have you doing to get to that. The open forearm to the pins and the follow through going right through the face is awesome though, I just want to know what they had you doing to get there besides the back up ball drill. thanks
But don't get confused by just dropping your shoulder in your shot. The whole point to dropping your shoulder is to allow your self to push the ball through the oil to get a stronger and more consistent ball reaction. Also pay attention to how his shoulders are parallel to his LINE that he is trying to play. This allows him to control his angle down the lane. How to do that is to look at your focal point, Break point, to your mark. You can look up videos on how to do each. or ask a (Gold)coach.
I love your release. I can see that Kegel is trying to get you to create a swing slot by keeping your eye over the ball and dropping your shoulder. what drills were they trying to teach you? and what else were they trying to work on w/ you? did you release improve as a byproduct of the other stuff they tought, or did they have a specific move they wanted you to make to change your release? Nice Work Bro.
That's how they used to teach us way back in the day, but when people started looking at the really good bowlers from the past and present, they realized that the majority of them actually dropped their shoulder. Google "Drop Your Damn Shoulder: The Benefits of Lateral Trunk Bend Revealed" for a Joe Slowinski article on the subject.

Thanks. I'll try this tonight. Great info.
thats exactly what i was doing and this video just showed me what i need to do now thanks!

I tended to always pull it. That's why I was typically a bad bowler. lol. Even with game after game 4 times a week.

Who is the voice on this video? Is he the person you worked with on your visit to Kegel?
What does this course cost at the facility?
excellent video
Truly enjoyed this video ! Just might take me from 220 to 225+ !! Thanks
i always thought the shoulders needed to stay parallel to the lanes.
Which software is that?
