If the Nothing Phone (2) comes out this year, I think it's going to be a stellar phone ngl. Like all the foundation is there, it's just needed some polishing.

I'm thinking of picking one up for the form factor alone. I hate the thin rounded edges most smartphones have. Apple is the only exception, but I don't like the restrictions in iOS.
Been using this phone for more than 3mths as a daily driver, love this phone and nothing team

Downgrading from my Pixel 7 Pro to this. My 7 pro constantly crashes and the reviews for the Nothing 1 are pretty solid.
How is the nothing phone compared to the pixel?
I feel that this company really has something special going for it!
I feel like it would be extra cool if they'll replace the front screen bezel with just LED glyph style for their next gen phone
I have been on the android 13 beta, and the experience is awesome. Open apps appears to get very fast. Battery life is good. Very few bugs, that don't affect the experience. So far is a very good software experience. If they continue to focus on user experience they will get more and more users.

They used to be super focused on user experience and this new brand allows them to do precisely so. I'm glad they got back to their roots and continue the legacy of the early days of 1+. I hope they'll continue to improve and I'll pick up the nothing phone soon enough. I'm rooting for you devs ^_^
got this phone today, I LOVE IT ALREADY. The 120hz screen is absolutely insane.
How is battery life and performance?
@@toki-9750 I use my phone ALOT, with the 120hz screen constantly turned on it lasts me about exactly a day. with the 120hz screen off, (60hz) it lasts about 2 days. and i mean it, i use my phone a absolute ton, constantly on social media and banking apps, scrolling on websites. etc etc. It's definetly impressive. Performance wise, i have never had any issues, the phone never once stuttered, lagged, or had any kinds of problems, i gamed on it, use snapchat, instagram, it never ONCE lagged.
I've had my phone 1 since mid August and have to say it's been my favourite phone so far, coming from Samsung/Huawei
Ordered this device after using the pixel 2xl and 4xl. Side loaded the Google camera apk which makes up for the mediocre inbuilt camera and it's just great. Glad I went for it, the new models of pixel phones are still not completely 5g compatible and it just catches on to the network quickly. Flagship phones are getting too expensive, it's just not worth buying into them all the time.

Literally got mine today there's definitely some features the ui could use but it's minor
I'm in the UK and picked one up about 2 weeks ago. I love it. Build quality, look, lights, everything is great except the face recognition. I'm afraid that sucks. Hoping an update will fix it. Other than that, great phone for the price. 👌
face id is not secure so try avoid using it
Luckily, face id is useless when you have a finger print scanner

Great use of b-roll, nice audio, and yeah, I am day 3 with my first Nothing phone (1). For the $299.99 price tag, yeah, it is a fabulous gadget 😁
Where did u get it for that price?
I've heard about problems with sound quality over headphones, both wired and wireless. Any comment on that would be very much appreciated as I'm a heavy music consumer, and that can make or break a phone for me.
Looking at this as my next phone, did you ever get random service drops while using t mobile?
Imagine have the light glyph on the border of the screen or in the middle of the lateral metal frame. Maybe that would be more practical instead of putting the screen facing down.
they could do that with the aod, since the screen is oled
I think it's already time for a Nothing hardware. perhaps on MWC23? A SDGen2 version would be nice.

I got the nothing phone 1 on Christmas and can I just say, it is way better than I thought
Got the NothingPhone(1) less than a week ago. Came from the OnePlus (Nord2 5G PacMan Edition, OnePlus Nord 1st Gen, also a variety of iPhone devices before optioning for the NothingPhone - love the minimalistic aspect of it, some stuff which i hoped i'd find aren't there but i guess i can live without them such as more customizable options for the Glyphs, or better Screenshot Options, etc... What i am slightly worried about is the Ringtones; every time i select a ring tone the phone duplicates the chosen mp3 - from my 10 old time favorite ringtones which have been with me for the past ten years now, i've ended up with a duplication of 20, and i have no idea if i am doing something wrong or if it is a glitch. Apart from that, the phone ringtone is loud whilst other notifications sound pretty low and can barely hear these. I wish that the volume buttons could be able to only adjust the media volumes like in most android phones nowadays. Anyhow, i do bear in mind that the Nothing phone doesn't quite bring much profit to the company and i really appreciate this!

I just got mine today July 2023, brand new out of the box black color edition, as a regular phone and the way I use it, for 260 us I'm more than pleased with it

Thinking about getting the Nothing (1) or the Pixel 6a soon. What's your opinion?
Biggest issue; lack of cases. I drop my phone a lot and I don't trust any of the cases I've seen to keep up with my clumsiness 😅
Spigan now do a really good clear one (much better than the official one) and they also do a really nice glass screen protector with fitting tool.
It's probably the longest phone I have kept. Normally I'm switching between premium Android phones but just love everything about the nothing phone. The form factor is excellent. Love the glyph . Software is great especially since android 13. Really fast now and camera good for my uses. Will be buying nothing phone 2
Watching from Nothing phone 1 which I bought last week. It has some manufacturing defects which I'll fix in service centre through warranty. I love this phone 🔥 and I'm totally satisfied ❤️♥️.

As someone who likes a lot about the phone (Design, size etc.) but also likes to tale pictures with my phone. In comparison to my huawei p30 pro, will it be a downgrade in camera performance? If so how severe would that be?

yes its a downgrade. i have the poc x3 nfc.. and it takes mich beter pictures.. i gave my np1 back :(

I gave my Poco x3 NFC to my mum it's a really great phone. My son is using Poco x3 gt dimensity 1100 good phone and I am using lgv50s snapdragon 855. I'm deciding between gettinf Xiaomi 12t, Vivo x70, Samsung s21fe or nothing phone 1.

The auto rotate doesn’t always work on my Samsung or my iPad either. I’m going for the nothing phone soon though anyway. I’ve had problems with basically all my smartphones with bugs at some point or another.
What about security updates? Did you receive it each month and on which day ? For example, a Google phone receives it between 4 and 6 every month.

@@oliviermayeres the phone is pretty good feels just like my pixel 6pro from animations to fluid UI. I haven't ran into any bugs but it's not as powerful as the pixel 6a in raw power but that only shows in speed when loading stuff like call of duty,apex,or genshin impact
a Nothing Tablet (1) would be really cool.

I might get nothing phone 2 when it launches. My pixel 4a still running solid
I got this because it was affordable. I'm also in the US and using TMobile. No complaints, if anything the only thing that is underwhelming is the front face camera. My battery lasts all day. I will say that playing rhythm games has been a little lack luster, I haven't found a way to calibrate the touch screen sensitivity which is a little annoying. Also the photos are a bit frustrating as well as the nothing phone only uses Google apps which are not my favorite especially when it comes to pictures and backing up pics. Despite these small gripes, I do love this phone but it could be better. I understand it was not meant for US use but I picked up over the Pixel 7 and I want to see what else they have the to offer.
@@HugoTheLigar because I got it under $600 when most flags lips are double that for a basic phone. You can get it on Amazon, it's not like I jumped any hoops trying to get the phone.
Yeah it's kinda mid, but it works for me. These are just my gripes which I'm pretty sure help others know what to expect from the nothing phone.
Can you do split screen or floating windows with nothing phone? Also, if you're inactive in TH-cam will it play it in a floating window or the TH-cam will exit and it will only work when you open again? Thanks.

i like the phone a lot its vey smooth qnd good battery life but 1 thing i dislike is that they removed some software features such as 4x4 app grid

Got rid of my Pixel 6P, for Nothing when it came out. Love the phone. Just needs some more update tweaks and better camera, but so does every other phone.

While the phone becomes cheaper.. people are still going to buy it.. and the updates phone 1 is getting will make the experience better.

One time price I've had my phone for about 3 weeks now well worth it I love this phone

I'm not sure how long it lasted for but as soon as I heard about it I jumped on it cuz the phone was only $299.00 and I've been wanting that phone since it came out you can buy the phone off of their website but it's not $299.00 anymore but even at the price they're asking is worth it. I think it's like $375.00 something like that you can find it on different websites. Amazon eBay. I wouldn't pay over $400.00

Is it better than pixel 6a?
Ive been contemplating for weeks now but I figured I'd just ask it here. I have a choice between Nothing Phone (1), Samsung A73 and Pixel 6a. I'm currently using Samsung Galaxy S10 which is about 4-5 years now which I bought on release date. But my biggest concern here is longevity. Should I just wait for Phone (2) or what do you guys think?
If longevity then don't go for Nothing 1 as the chipset is very old but it is hard to not recommend as well, it's worth the value
Nothing decided not to release any new phones for this year and just focus on improving the user experience for the current Phone (1).
Pixe 6A will be outdated and specs do not match current trends

Just joined the Beta and ordered my phone this evening after shattering my 4+ year old Note 9. Guess we'll see how it goes. Curious to go back to a small company, I had an OP1 and OP2 before switching the the Note 9 so I have a bit of experience in that market. Gonna miss my headphone jack and SD card slot though.
Exactly, I'm looking for a new phone and i loved nothing phone 1, thought of buying it but then changed my mind as a headphone jack is absolutely essential for me. I'll have to look for other phones now that provide a headphone jack in the same budget

One plus 9 pro revisited in 2023 plzz.....
I just got the beta in a couple of days ago. So far it's a decent phone. My current device is a Pixel 7 and on Tmo running the beta Android 13 build.
The form factor is the main difference, but I immediately felt the battery tick down faster than the pixel 7. There's still some software glitches with Bluetooth, but not a dealbreaker. The camera is decent and not pixel level but still pretty good.
Yeah it feels like a pixel with the smooth animations and keeping things pretty stock . I ended up installing gcam for better pictures and the ambient music APK to get the now playing feature ,and activity launcher to hide the status bar logo's so it doesn't show WiFi ,etc .
Pixel 7 has better battery life than Nothing phone?
@@CarlosMendoza-ih6mo for me and my usage yes. Whenever I take my P7 off charger the battery lasts at 100 for a good while. The NP1 was not as good off the bat, but settled a bit after using it for a few days. I think it could be the tensor, but it's my assumption
battery even worse than on pixel 7? man i really wanted this phone but even the pixel 7 battery is not good enough for me, so no nothing phone for me
@@hans-petermaier9000 pixel 7 has been leaps better than my GS20FE and with A13 the NP1 is close. The Pixel can easily last a day for me. The NP1 no but almost and I have to commend Nothing to being that close for it's first release.

Anyone else using the NP(1) getting serious battery drain issues? My screen on time lasts for just 6 hours on a single charge. My Realme 7 Pro lasted more with the same battery capacity.
My friend with the same Realme 7 Pro gets about 6-7 hours of SOT meanwhile, my phone with the same size of battery only lasts about 2.5-3.5 hours. Running in OS 1.5

I have been using redmi k20 pro for last three years. My new wishlisted phones are Realme Gt neo 3, poco F5 and Nothing phone 1. My budget is around 35k and i am not a gamer. I want a phone with good camera, no overheat issue and good battery endurance, best multimedia consumption and faster web browsing. Also i wish to use the phone for at least 2_3 years. Please suggest the best one.
