All of your points I completely agree with and understand.
The longevity of the game for me is already coming into question as I start to unlock more land more vehicles. I’d like to see things like a career mode/story that we have to work through to build our business. A reason for the XP as well.
Personally as someone who enjoys creating custom liveries in games (as you know) I’d love more customisation of vehicles, being able to brand our company with logos and colours to match. New horns, lights and more as you say.
I look forward to seeing where the game goes and what Mike and the team come up with on the roadmap.

Two things that puzzle me are, as you said, the XP.....doesn't seem to have a purpose. The repair shop is also pointless as the damage does not carry over. Once you select a new contract 'Hey presto' the vehicle is like new.
I would like to see huge variety as there are only so many times that you can deliver boxes or caravans before it is 'rinse and repeat'. An actual career would be good, and developing your business. I hate the lack of first person and not being able to get out of your vehicle.
The refueling pump is turbo pump as it fills a tank in 2 seconds.
Lets hope it gets the TLC it deserves and not end up in the scrap yard.

I really feel this small Dev team delivered, finally a ETS style game for console.
It certainly has the look and the feel of ETS but at the moment it certainly doesn't have the longevity!

You are definitely right about the map, I get already bored of the same roads, for a very short time I got almost all the vehicles in the game and started to get bored, but the game has future if they work on it, if not it will be dead very fast. Big map means longevity, driving short distances is a problem for the game, everything else in the game it’s nice and well done 👍
Well it's a move in the right direction at least.... Still doesn't "Cut It" for next gen Consoles however there is a shining light on the horizon TRUCK WORLD AUSTRALIA has appeared in the PS5 Wishlist for release in 2024 now this Trucking Sim has real potential check it out mate
Oh definitely mate , as I mentioned this is the best trucking simulator currently on console , bar snowrunner , but I always see snowrunner as more than a trucking sim !
I've heard about the game you mentioned but not really looked into it , but I'll check it out .

Super honest review, thanks. I did actually cash some reward points and buy it....but the only thing I'd probably add is that the gameplay loop is quite small and it takes considerably less than 25 hours before deja-vu sneaks into proceedings. The other thing of concern is that there's a very high likelihood any new vehicles (etc etc) are going to be added as paid DLC's and, in a situation similar to Fernbus, it does kind of beggar the question as to their value within a relatively small map and that limited gameplay loop.

Oh yeah the loop really hits hard well before 25 hours , put as you said , I had to be completely transparently, I could of said 10 hours in and the gameplay loop is terrible , letting people know I've more than given the game a fair crack at the whip at 25 hours , people will be more accepting to that !
Fingers crossed the improvements happen , but with aerosoft as publishers I do wonder !
@@CGDGAMES I absolutely do share your concerns about Aerosoft because if they operate in the same way as other publishers (I suspect they do) then they have the final say on post-launch budgets - and historically that hasn't been a good thing. But yes, if the devs can conquer the obvious limitations of Unity and expand on the map then that's a good thing. For me though it would have to be a free update because if truth be told, launch content was pretty thin and with a, say, £20 update it would push the package towards AAA prices.
Well done to the devs though because finally we have an ok (but not outstanding) truck driving game - and that in itself has to be a huge plus for console gamers.

well reviewed Lee thumbs UP ! totally agree with everything you said mate . it sadly is a bit shallow and pointless earning cash after awhile , no incentive to continue playing , i'd like to see implemented things similar to ATS & ETS where you drive for other AI companies first then build up enough cash to buy your first truck , then eventually buy your own vehicle warehouse/depot and also employ Ai Drivers to work for you , if SCS can make a game like that then why can't others , seems like most just want a quick cash cow out of us gamers .
As I said , of they keep this up as a passion project and keep adding to the game in similar way SCS have done over the years they will be onto a winner , but what concerns me is that aerosoft are the publishers , will funding be granted to carry on development after 12 months or will they be forced to start a new project like Tox2 interactive have with heavy cargo truck simulator !
The ideal truck sim would have the map size and gameplay of ETS, with the graphics of Snowrunner but how long before we will see something like that on console, if ever? Until then, Truck and Logistics Simulator looks like it will fill that gap in the market pretty well going off your review. May end up buying this with the inevitable PSN vouchers I'll get for Christmas.
It seems that way pal yes , it's ok for an hour here and hour there , can't see myself sitting at it for hours like I do with snowrunner !

Just bought the game and totally agree with u I’m 5 hours in and can see it’s limitations as u say a solid enough game.
I'm just hoping the devs don't leave it behind and build on what could be a great trucking game ! They can build on this great foundation they have set !

As much as I want to say trucks and logistics , snowrunner will definitely keep you more busy in single player , although at times snowrunner can be frustrating by getting stuck in mud and snow , trucks and logistics at the moment is a little shallow in it's gameplay as my review states !
If you have Xbox game pass you can try snowrunner for free as its on there !
But yeah for me snowrunner is a far superior game , just take your time and get around the map with your winch and think about your approaches !

The switch has had the port since COVID and have yet to get an update.
An update was expected end of last month , as of yet nothing 🤷♂️
@CGDGAMES it's been that way for the last 3-4 years now. Always saying an update is coming and yet it never does. I've had the game since release on Switch and it's the same song and dance every other time. They have a small team of 6 or so people. Why would a team of that size try and tackle a project like this trying to port the game to all the consoles at once? Why not do one console at a time? A switch owner is more than likely willing to be more patient with a game that has not been ported yet but is coming vs waiting for an update to a game he's had for 4 years now while other consoles get the port plus updates. Just doesn't make much sense to me. But oh well...nothing you can do about it.
Hi man, i have an Hori steering wheel and i play on an Xbox One, does this game support it in his steering mode?
I shouldn't see why it shouldn't , the hori is essentially a wheel masquerading as a controller , so will work fine , I also think that one of my other viewers uses the hori on TLS with no issues
@@CGDGAMESthanks, but i asked you that because the hori in its steering mode cant be used in a much games, i know the controller mode works for sure, but the problem Is that when you use the controller mode, the accuracy of the wheel isnt very good and there Is much dead zone in short movements

exp is a bit weird issue pointless, they maybe should have added in small additions these last 3 years on pc maybe every 6 months like base building and what not only lasted a couple of hours on pc with this deliverys are too short just running back and forth on the same roads.
The future is bright for the game , as I said I just hope it's not abandoned , and the love and commitment remains for the game !

This is fun compared to On the Road and Truck Driver. I will never play multiplayer again, it's just a troll fest!

I'm playing on series x right now and the pop in is bad I mean every plant pops in and the steering is ovously made for P.C it is not good on console at all the A.I cars are terrible the map is small we must be playing different games I got it on sale for $20 but its more like a $10 game I have played a bunch of truck Sims and this might be the worst mostly because of the small map and poor handling
This is a phone game on a big screen, right now I'm driving under water just drive off the road and try it this game is junk
We all differ and expect different things from the games we play and we all have our own opinions !
For me I did enjoy my time streaming the game but I did see it's short comings , and I will be releasing a video very soon , with my initial thoughts about the game to which some are very similar to yours !
