    संस्कृतं तमिलं विहाय सर्वासु भारतीयभाषासु आधारः अस्ति । किञ्चित् प्रयत्नेन वयं संस्कृतं शिक्षितुं शक्नुमः। वयं सर्वे संस्कृतं ज्ञात्वा पुनरुज्जीवनं कुर्मः।

It is not a base of all languages it's a another language that's all mainly used upper North.... Pallavas used it and borrowed from many languages mainly it is called as hybrid language not a unique one like tamil.. Current tamil has some mixtures but proto tamil is unique

@@ramvidar I don't know about tamil but there are many words from sanskrit which present even in Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam...so you are wrong about sanskrit being mainly only in North...

It is completely wrong to say that Sanskrit has a great contribution to the culture of India and people understood it and accepted it as a language. Sanskrit is spread religiously and not because some consider it to be the superior language A good example of this is that there are more Muslims in India who know Arabic than Hindus who know Sanskrit. Sanskrit was the dialect of nomadic Brahmins who practiced religious professions, so Sanskrit has absorbed vocabulary, grammar and literature from many cultures.

Sanskrit originated from a Proto-Indo European language which is now extinct. It is not the mother of all languages. It is the oldest SURVIVING language.

It is high time Sanskrit is taught in all primary schools in India in addition to local language and English. It is not a burden to learn three languages. Quite the opposite. They develop a sharper brain.

Just like we don't convert to Islam en masse, we should avoid Urdu terms as much as possible. Consider Urdu as _linguistic_ islamization

Sanskrit was never a spoken language in India even old days it was mainly pakrit, Idea sanskrit to be made official language is noting but front for imposing Hindi.
