I have you gotta cut the 1300 intake and use a hose to connect so assembly and dis assembly is easier . Gotta shorten up heat riser tubes and modify muffler flanges. I am building 69 x 82 40 h.p i have mocked it up. Dual carbs would be a good option also. 8mm studs are a bit long and one is different length so i bought two sets of brazillian 8mn studs maybe dual port 1300 heads are a better choice. Hope mine runs good when finished will never do it again LOL
lots of work for very little hp gain. best to just go with 40hp heads and 1385 kit. 100 cam with stock rockers. I have parts coming for that build too.
The 36hp is indestructible. I have run a few without rebuilding and they just keep going. Have one as a daily driver now
hi use the new Laser Cleaning rust removes from steel and othere parts// save it and build it SAVE THAT ENGINE
Would be good to just clean them up nice; maybe use some glass bead and put cosmoline on some of the stuff if not using right away.

Have you ever put 1300 heads and head studs on a 36 or 40hp. Just wandering because the 1300 intake is a little bigger
