- Amsterdam is most commonly known for its red light district and weed culture. Despite this, we set out to show you a completely different and unique side of the city that you may not've known existed.
The city is bursting at the seams with culture, history, and a diverse range of leisure activities such as boat cruises, whole body cryo centres and other social activities. Not to mention the diverse range of restaurants, cafes and bars.
Our experience in the city of Amsterdam was incredible, and certainly worth the trip there. It's certainly a city we'd recommend visiting during your next planned trip.

I was there in September. Amsterdam is one of the cleanest, safest cities in the World.
I agree, that is why its expensive to live here. We paid for our flat almost half million Euro, and it´s just 60qm2 - area: De Pjip

@Daan Made in Holland,next day they start to clean the whole city. Last year everything was clean in a week. I live here too and I see it with my own eyes. Which area you are talking about

Please do pass up on Amsterdam. We've got too many tourists now, thanks to Airbnb, and it makes it pretty much impossible for locals to find a place to rent or buy unless they're filthy rich. Go to Utrecht or Groningen! They're at least as beautiful as Amsterdam, but they're less touristy and therefore not as expensive, they've got slightly friendlier locals and they too have weed and museums (and other more interesting things to do).

I was just in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, two great cities. Amsterdam wasn't as diverse as I thought it would be. But I love the vibe and yes it is so much more to it than advertised. Everyone were riding bikes lol

The cool thing about Amsterdam is you might go there because what you have read about legal weed and prostitution only to stay on because you found there is so much more to love! That was case with me. Such a cool city, such a cool country.

Amsterdam is by far one of the greatest cities on earth. however, the Netherlands is such a beautiful country. it's more then just the Netherlands. visit cities like Rotterdam, The Hague or Maastricht. Or go to quiet beautiful provinces such as Groningen or Friesland. if you like the beach visit Zeeland and if you are more into the art/ Indie crowd then a visit to Heerlen is a must. don't worry, coffeeshops are everywhere;)

You can't visit oe buy from coffeeshops in Maastricht. Avoid Netherlands altogether as Spain is cheaper, friendlier, more beautiful, better food, better weed and hash, better weather and much more diverse and interesting.
