Thinking about you guys too. Stay safe. We were going to go to Maui when we started planning, but changed our minds and are going to Kauai instead. Thankfully before the fires or I'm betting we'd have to make other plans. But we're not going until after Labor Day.

I spent my Christmas 2022 there. I had a wonderful hotel to visit, only minute of walk time from the beach, shopping , and dining. Will return there again.❤❤❤

Too funny, my husband has the same shirt as Jordan 😂 Great review! we discovered the Halekulani during our last trip in March and hung out there a lot. It’s on our list for the next time but will definitely consider the Halepuna.

Great video and was there in that hotel , the same time as the Maui fires. I stayed in one of their 8 ocean front rooms on the 8th floor. The lanai was almost as big as the bedroom with 2 pool lounge chairs , 2 chairs , table and more extra space. Loved the extra and private outdoor square footage.
Love your Saturday videos. Every weekend you make me change my mind to where I want to go and stay in hawaii. Looks Like I am going to have to make multiple trips now lol.

Thanks for this tour. We were in Waikiki in May and stayed at the Outrigger Reef, love that hotel. And would pass by Halepuna when heading to the Sheraton and that part of the beach and wondering what type of hotel it was. Always a great review from you guys. Love the shirt Jordan.

I cant believe that exactly 2 months ago, I was planning my trip to maui using your videos as a guidance, and now maui is completely burned down due to wildfires 🥺. I am glad that I at least spent a wonderful 5 day vacation in maui in July before the tragedy happened💔.
We are missing Lahaina and our thoughts go out for the survivors. South Maui and the rest of Maui was not harmed by the fires. We will share when it is a good time to travel there in the near future.

Amazing hotel. Pretty much the first Waikiki hotel to book up, often more than a year out. Next best choice... Outrigger Beachcomber.
Beachcomber is a gem for the location and the price. We like Outrigger properties for the price and service.
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide We actually booked the Embassy Suites Beach Walk for our next trip to Oahu (before heading to Aulani). After a lengthy comparison, no other Waikiki hotel offered the ammenities that compared. Talking about Venn Diagrams, it seems no other hotel there can touch the Embassy Suites for price, location, ammenities, pool, service, size of rooms, view, etc. If you've covered that hotel in a review, I'll need to look it up.
Hi! I’ve seen a lot of cockroach videos in Hawaii. Is it mostly a problem on Oahu or all of the islands? Can you avoid it at all? Love your videos!
Cockroaches are common in the tropics. They are on every island but they don’t bother us. You won’t see them at nice hotels.

As many others have posted, hope you all are OK. I saw a NASA image of where it has burned/is burning, and it looks like the fire has engulfed all of Lahaina 😞 Hopefully, that's not the case. You and all of HI are in my prayers 🙏🏼🌺

Hello, I hope your family and friends are doing good. I don’t know who else to ask (that’ll actually answer me). I was just about to purchase our flight tickets for our anniversary to Maui in June 2024. Now, I’m not too sure if we should choose another island. Do you believe Maui is still a good choice for a romantic anniversary or another island will be a better choice? Any advice is Greatly appreciated!
South Maui is still a great choice to stay. Maui workers are looking forward to visitors returning soon.

Beachcomber will most likely have a better price. Halepuna has more amenities.

Younger vacationers prefer BNB, Air BNB, Hostels, STR unlike their parents and grand parents generation. They are more interested in ACTIVITIES, rather than the glitz of a resort. The tourist industry is still pushing a dinosaur rather than accommodating the new trend. Kodak went bankrupt for refusing to go along with the digital cameras and accessories. A hard lesson from history - even BIG BOYS can go down with the ship.
