I am not a Christian, but I respect how this show depicts Christ and the Christian characters as relatable and likable. It is a MILLION miles from 99% of other media in this regard, which instead has Jesus recite lines of raw scripture and act like some sort of aloof, emotionless robot. This is a good thing for your faith, more shows of this ilk should be made, things like this are so much more helpful because we can connect emotionally.
I think the theme out of this is that you can’t judge a book by its cover as some Christians myself included don’t do the best job of representing Christ and should do a better job but are good people with flaws. I’m catholic and havnt been to church in a while but that was a blessing as I understood that over time its really about a relationship with Jesus. Its then do we understand who he is and how we life by faith and grace through repentance.
It’s interesting because The Chosen highlights something that is not taught in a lot of places today. The spiritual relationship that is formed by seeking Christ’s Holy Spirit is what allows us to part ways with this world. However, it is one thing to have faith, and it is another thing to put that faith into action. This show does an excellent job of demonstrating what it means to stick by those principles.
Oh my gosh!!! I went from crying to laughing, back to crying. I love the way Jesus is dreaming of John and John showing Him that his shackles are now broken and that he's now free. 💖💖
This is probably one of my favorite scenes cuz this is all genuine laughter and it's just a heartfelt moments in the middle of all this grief and sadness sometimes we need that 😂

I think when he says "It tastes like Elijah's bones" is the funniest scene in the whole series!
Can't believe that line about "Elisha's bones" was not scripted. It was ad libbed by Jonathan. Makes it even funnier knowing that.

😎🙌✝️🕊💛 LOVE IT!
I hadn't seen this scene. Thanks.
