Wow, I never would have thought it would have made such a big deal. I'm just getting into precision shooting/reloading, and I am used to reloading lots of rounds for 9mm/.223 where slight variations from case to case/load to load is just not going to make much difference, especially for pistol rounds being shot at 5-20 yards or so. Thanks for the information!

Since I enjoy your channel even though I dont always agree I cant call bs on anything you are doing. Some advice its all about consistency. Right now I am starting to question my devotion to Hornady ELD bullets. The reason is the plastic tips in handling and transportation while in the box they can get slightly deformed. Even a small nick will cause them to hit a little low. On the 2 guns I built myself I set the barrel headspace .002 off of my full length resizing die. Neck sizing has never worked for me. About trigger control think 12 inch plate 200 yards free hand shooting double action with a wheelgun. Also go racing with that wheelgun. I could go on about the reloading bench. Also dont think in terms of distance think in terms of time. And a good ballistics program I use jbmballistics.com. About saftey and home dry fire practice get a clearing bucket and fill it with sand.

When you buy a bulk, let say 500, i think it is wise to sort into 3 weight groups. Shoot out one group brass, go to another. On the other hand side, lapua brass is the most consistent, just buy that and forget about weighting. Same with berger bullets- the most consistent. Thats why all fclass big dogs use lapua, berger... and temp stable powders. Alpha brass is also coming up in rankings, because of consistency. If im going to build something new, it must be in lapua or alpha brass. By the way, technically fps has nothing to do with groups, the seating depth has. Cortina does not even shoot groups when he does powder charge tests. He just looks for which powder weight gives best sd/es. Once he finds that, then he does group test- by adjusting seating depth.
