I’m from the Oklahoma City area and one of the local radio stations switched from album rock to country when this song was released and legit played this song for the first several hours. I don’t remember now how long but it was a long time, like 8 hours or so, just over and over again.
Real country people are the best all the way around. God, country, family, and the simple things in life that really matter. Tasha, you're country and there's nothing you can do about it, lol.
When I was stationed in California their “cowboys” were called dress me up, f**k me, Barbie doll cowboys 😂😂😂 We noticed things they didn’t have that we had they had no farm or ranch history and we noticed they didn’t have clauses on their hands from work.
Baby his last name is pronounced frizz as in my hair has a bit of frizz then ell. frizz-ell. He comes from a musical family. And you can't say enough about Shelly West. She played the Opry every time they had a show after she stopped touring. She had a fantastic voice. ❤❤❤
Hey Ken from Cut and Shoot TEXAS. LOVE THIS SONG. KEEP PLAYING THESE GREAT COUNTRY SONGS. IM STILL WAITING ON MORE MARTY ROBBINS WESTERN BSLLADS. PLAY ONE WHEN U CAN.
Thankß Tasha, one of my very favorite duets. So well written you can feel the distance between them. Penned by famous husband and wife songwriting Boudleaux and Bryant, they have had hits in all genres. Song was also covered by Blake and Miranda.
He is the brother of Lefty Frizzell, and she is the daughter of Dottie West. They were good singers and this is a good song, but honestly I cant' think of another song they did... but I guess that's just me.
I rambled a bit on this one 😅
I didn't notice.
I agree I didn't notice.
We enjoy hearing your thoughts Tasha. We can all enjoy country music, and good music in general, together through your efforts on your channel.
You're a sweetheart.
This song deserves to be rambled on about !😀
Her mom, Dotti West, was an awesome singer. She has duets with Kenny Rodgers
David's brother Lefty Frizzell is a Hall of Famer. He influenced George Jones, Merle Haggard and everyone after them. (It's friz'-ZELL, by the way)
David is Lefty's son not brother
David, Allen (who married Shelly) are indeed Lefty’s brothers
And my mother is a Frizzell

Back in the mid 80s, a rock station in Oklahoma City changed their format to country. They played this song for 24 hours straight.
A country classic
I live in Oklahoma, love this song great reaction
Dan Seals and Marie Osmond [ MEET ME IN MONTANA ]
Always loved this song
Love this song.
Feels so Right by Alabama is a must!!! And “If I said you had a beautiful body” by the Bellamy Brothers
Gotta check out the version Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert did live. You can literally watch them fall in love during the song.
There used to be a lot of poetry and metaphor and subtext in music. Folk and good old fashioned country is where its at.
There is also a video of Blake and Miranda covering this song before they married ( and divorced)

If you haven't done so, you have to react to Shelley's mom Dottie. She was great!
❤❤❤❤❤
They have another great song, "Silent Partners". Loved them so much!
I had the worst celebrity crush on Shelly West when I was in junior high. ❤

David Frizzell's last name is pronounced Friz-zell.

Fun fact. I live less than 0.5 miles from where David Frizzells brother Lefty was born.
Lefty and David are brothers

Have you done “Meet me in Montana” by Dan Seals and Marie Osmond yet?
Or Garth Brooks, Reba
It's an age-old story, women leave their small town for the big city, leave their boyfriends behind.
Yeah! I been waiting on this one!
