One of the very best themes by the late, great John Barry. I used to watch the Persuaders just to hear this theme. Barry made use of an interesting instrument, the cymbalum, or cymbalom, which gave it that particularly lovely, haunting quality. Lovely.

Yo vivía en Francia y era pequeña,solo escucharla y se me salta las lágrimas. Toda la familia en el salón viene la serie. La encontré en TH-cam y las veo cada dos por tres!!

Oooh soooo long ago!!! I liked this melody ... this beautiful series from my early childhood. I looked it every week in the weekend on tv before going to bed. Thanks to my lovely mother who admitted me to watch this series however I was only 10 years ❤

Any time i hear this music theme i feel so nice,thinking my youth. It is unique. I can say it is the melody i will listen until the end of my life with a big smile on my face !
This series reached a fantastic success here in Hungary. I recorded the soundtrack of some episodes on a reel-to-reel magnetophone - no video recorder was on the horizon in that time - and listened again to reproduce the feeling. I liked to listen to the title music very much.

The Yanks never appreciated a truly fantastic series when it was screened there though it was thought having the big star of Tony Curtis for the character of Danny Wilde would bring them in. I loved this series in the UK but it was a pity only one was made. A time in 1970/71 when I fantasised as a pre - teen about being the rich playboy of Brett Sinclair water ski-ing etc among the beautiful folk on the south coast of France. John Barry was a master composer.
This Original theme will always be the best version it’s been covered by others and remixed by some u-tubers And even the late John Barry himself had another nibble at the theme which wasn’t great . But when John Barry got the recipe right the first time out There’s no need to revisit it for second helpings . this was the first record I bought before i could even afford a record player . so 😢sadly i used to Hum the theme while holding that 45 Vinyl single record with its distinctive orange label !! 😂
