It's difficult to get everyone from various regions onboard with creating special concessions for exotics. Places like California are extremely strict on emissions and it's a large market for Ferrari. Italy on the other hand will let Ferrari slide when it comes to emissions. Ferrari could get away with building V12s and V8s for years to come and they'll still get into the hands of the majority of their customers, but I think Ferrari also wants to be on the cutting edge of technology. I've been looking forward to seeing where this stacks up in the battle of the new V6 supercar engines. And as much as I'm not the absolute biggest fan of Ferrari, I will say I'm impressed. They could make that front end look a smidge better though.
I straight up don't like it , always been a ferrari fan up until 430/599 . There new styling is just not nice in my opinion and they've gone from being the elite and most desirable marque to being just another brand of mass produced expensive cars .
I knew it was just a matter of time after the LaFerrari and the SF90. I thought the best I was going to be able to do in terms of environmentally friendly performance was the NSX or the new BMW without going full Electric. It will be sad to see those amazing naturally aspirated engines slowly decrease in numbers, but between this or full electric and until the next generation of environmentally efficient supercar comes along maybe a decade from now this is a very modern and welcome alternative from my point of view. Thank you Rory.
Im convinced 50% of the motivation behind this video was as an excuse to let Rory touch every panel on this monster of a Ferrari.
How could you not tho?
I just want to take a moment to say that Autotrader has the highest production quality of ANY youtube car channel I have seen. Great work!
i think it would be very reasonable for super-sports vehicles to be excluded from ice regulations as they present less than a tenth of all vehicles on sale, a wonderful solution would be to require basic commuters to be required as electrical and leaving the ice for spirited sports cars and their enthusiast.
Because sports car enthusiasts want to be beaten on the straight by family sedans?
The thumbnail *"Evolve or die"* is sick love the slogan
0:12 DAAAAAAAAAAAAMMNNNN!!! 💯
What an absolute marvel
wow! just when I thought the Roma was my fave, now this one too! Roma for the weekday and 296 for the weekend!
This thing sounds better than the 488/F8 for me...and 830 hp allow insane levels of performance.
The price though 💔 😭
It’s a Ferrari not a Ford. How else do you expect it to be priced?? 🤦🏽♂️
@@MrVroom1 it does kinda look like a Ford lol
@@futurehofer1564 ford looks like 250 LM
Interesting - I didn't like the sound at all
Probably the best car video and review I’ve ever watched! ❤
Awesome car, though a part of me feels they should've called it a dino since it's a v6 and for old time's sake
This is the 6th review I've watched, from all the Top TH-camrs so how is it that you've all got different performance figures for the same car at the same test at the same time.....Madnesss..!!!
Looks great...lets see what this one can do miles down the road
🤣🤣 Rory is just the absolute best, truly all encompassing! The humour and pizazz is always such a joy to watch. Autotrader, you guys really won with having him at your lead reviewer.
Portland, JAMAICA in the Building !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love your reviews. Besides the amazing camera work...your vids are not too long but long enough to keep us glued. Good job AT!
You make some of the best reviews! Amazing!
I would go for the F8 still
gwaud daamm. great cinematography , great composition, great editing and as always the great Rory
Am i the only one who is missing the exhaust noise from the Ferrari review 😢
Ok the air intake eating his hand was funny...rory thanks for making me smile on a sad day
So excited. Will get mine in summer of 2023.
I prefer the round tail light lights found on the 458, 488, GTC4 Lusso.
There goes the emotion and theatre. Like a silent opera.
Ferrari nailed it with the best Performance, Dynamics and Design... 😍😍😍👌👌👌❤️❤️❤️
How does that V6 sound so bloody good under all the rest of the BS?
Ferrari are absolute wizards sometimes.
Its like a half of their V12 engine so I think that explains most of the heavenly sound
I just have to say, the intro!!! Great job! 🔥🔥🔥
What a horrible world we live in that someone is actually excited about a electric Ferrari
Y'all need to speed up the delivery of these videos Rory, I've watched your entire AutoTrader catalogue Lmao. Another great video, love the work you and the team have put in.
The rear and interior look really nice and I am sure the driving experience is amazing, but this front end just isnt it also too many Ford GT vibes
Ferrari has let me down with most of their recent designs
Agree they are fu
Why Ford fanboys always have to find similarities in other cars instead of appreciate masterpieces like this car? Who tf cares about Ford now?
@@Simone-bk9os Ford fan boy? I dont like Fords 😂 and thats why I dont like the design of this car, I aint buying/looking at no Ferrari that looks like a Ford lol
how can you make this reviews this much enjoyable??
Why no focus on the engine sound Rory? You’ve really missed a trick here, as this is what potential owners coming from the V8’s and V12’s want to know. Ferrari themselves consider this the ‘little V12’ - such a disappointment that this has be missed from the video….
The F8 sounded pretty terrible, really (as do most European engines in this day and age). Even V12s are underwhelming. So I no longer think engine sound is as big a deal as it used to be due to gas particulate filters making everything sound bad. HOWEVER, this V6 sounds better than the F8 by a LONG way.
Judging from the little sound bites we could actually hear, it sounds like a beefed up vacuum cleaner.
@@AutoTraderTV Way better to buy something pre 2017 without the particulate filters, these cars hardly do any mileage so you would still be getting a fairly newish car but with none of the fun taken out! That’s where my money would go If I was buying a high performance sports car. Don’t get me wrong EVs nd hybrids are great for replacing the diesel hatchback but not for this!
@@AutoTraderTV a shame for you to say that since the f8’s engine sounds pretty good in a pista imo
Just viewed one looks a beautiful car... true work of art. Still one of my favourite Ferrari is the Testarossa
The same company that said they're "not interested in electric cars" :/
Didn't they say the same thing about an SUV? In the end Ferrari is a business with shareholders.
@@davidwynn6105 they did, shameless sell outs. Lambo kills it with the urus so they build the purasangue.
Rimac owns the top hypercar acceleration spot and sold the chassis to pinninfarina to make the stunning Batista twin. And now Ferrari has patents for making their own bespoke ev chassis. 😀
It’s a hybrid, not an electric car. There is a n ICE in there
@@4literv6 To be fair - as a business designed to make money Ferrari kills it. Rimac needs the acceleration or no one would touch their products and Lambo relies on a cheap VW platform to sell 5,000 SUVs a year. While Ferrari drops a $2.2M car and 599 people raise their hand and thank god for the privilege to spend their own money. Just a month before that 499 people were fortunate enough to get a $700k base convertible and 999 for a $550k coupe. Figure in $100-400k in options...they simply have a license to print money.
@@davidwynn6105 hard to argue with any of that. 👍🏻
I just find it immensely amusing in 2018 the then Ferrari CEO claimed they would NEVER make an SUV or cuv. What's the latest on that again?
Oh yes the urus becoming lambos all time best seller, and the macon is Porsches 2nd best all time selling vehicle. Although a few more years of both sales along with the new ev macon. May slid the mythical 911 down a bit on that all time sales list.
Then Ferrari says we will not make any evs, battery tech just isn't there yet. Cue the rimac nevera breaking onto the scene running mid 8s and topping out over 240mph and the stunning twin chassis car the pinninfarina Batista.
Plus the a spark owl, lotus evija, nio ep9 etc. 😀
I love how they didn't plaster it with those green/blue or E/hybrid badges manufactures. It still looks like a Ferrari not some electric car made by Ferrari
EV Ferrari? What’s next? Synthetic caviar? Lab grown diamonds? Pleather jackets?
I heard that toyota and yamaha developed a hydrogen powered 450 hp 5 litre V8 engine with almost zero harmful exhaust emmissions. If this gets successful maybe ferrari can put that idea in their V12s and V8s
Rory does his ting every time never misses 💯💯💯💯💯
its not a car anymore ..its gone...no more Ferraei...a rivederci...
Mr. RR. Forgive me for complaining. You do a good job with these videos, but do you have to start off every Ferrari video with "this a swan song to the V8 engine." I love their cars. You guys did do a good job with this video.
Looks like an electric car, not Ferrari !!
GREAT OPENING. Gave me chills
It's not a real ferrari, it's something else, something that lost it's soul.
The cinematography in this video is top notch, really aesthetic. Rory is at the top of his game lately.
Beautiful review!

This “future” is just sad, a slow slump into the elimination of true emotions for drivers.
Plaid reaction videos to accelerating in it prove otherwise. 😀
No, EV's have a lot of emotion, just not sound-wise.
@@4literv6 The plaid is a one trick pony though. I can't see anyone caring that much about the 0-60 in 5 years when every other manufacturer has caught up. Something like a naturally aspirated 911 can still put a smile on your face 20+ years later.
@@TD1237 it’s not only the sound, it’s the engine personality, the customisability, it’s just becoming an industrial soulless washing machine

Uglyest Ferrari ever
im already bored by this car
I have know idea who’s written oratory skills is responsible for the animated eloquent transition of automotive experience behind the wheel in partnership with vehicle to viewer so exquisitely. It’s appreciated enjoyable and most definitely trendsetting the benchmark.
Its not progress its crap
Did not realize how much of a Badman u was at driving. Looks so much fun! Another great vid
Well done Rory and team - this was a great piece of film. Awesome.
Great vid. This is their 3rd hybrid and their most affordable one.
Cant help but notice how there was zero mention Ferrari's other hybrid cars; the bigger brother SF90 and the super car LaFerrari.
Seems like ferrari played a major part in scripting Rory's words.
Simply stunning! And the car is nice too.
ur car reviews are the best bro love ur work
Absolutely beautiful looking V6 Ferrari. My favourite Ferrari for years 👌👏
