How can anyone know if the design of anything will be timeless? Very few cars have managed that yet... Top of my list would be Ferrari 458 Italia. It's already pretty old but still looks brand new. That's timeless design, but only time can tell.
Each review is like a Netflix short film. Such Quality content. We all gotta be honest here.. I look forward towards the intros to these reviews as much as the Cars in it! 💯💥
I honestly believe Rory would exceed as a playwright, a corporate CEO, or a highly ranked military officer. He is magical. And, when it comes to presenting he is among the best in the world. AutoTrader, do whatever you can to keep Rory. He is as important to your brand than are the cars you seek to sell.
That intro! I've never heard an intro like this from anyone else ever before. Amazing. And the MC20 is amazing too. I love that deep baritone from those dual exhausts. And the car looks sweet.
Fr, perfect for people who want to form an emotional connection to their vehicle. And all of their 'issues' exist in other luxury cars and to an even more serious degree in exotic cars. Besides, Maserati is one of the few exotic brands to actually offer decent practicality.
@@Edgycoo What's it behind? Rory called it a supercar but Maserati call it a "super sports car" to avoid direct comparisons. Its performance is comparable to other exotic GTs like the McLaren GT (612hp, 0-62 3.2s) and Aston Martin Vantage (503hp / 3.6s for V8 or 700hp / 3.5s for V12), and also to sportier exotics like the Lotus Emira (400hp / 4.3s) and the Lamborghini Huracan (640hp / 3.2s). I don't have a problem with the MC20's performance, but I'm not mad on its interior - it looks a bit 'low volume'. They saved money by using Alfa parts bin stuff, only having half a dozen buttons, and putting everything on two screens that are gonna date and break down. Since this is a car which will sit in collections for decades, I'd prefer traditional dials.
I really enjoy Rory's and Aurotrader's car reviews. The great automotive journalism with high production standards are genuinely entertaining to watch. Looking forward to future episodes.
You got me hooked right there on the intro 👌. And oh you guys are producing horror movies now?, those mermaid whispers really got me 😂. This Maserati really looks good. Your emotions and presentation is always top notch. Good job to you guys Team Autotrader.
Rory does excellent reviews, his style is quite unique but I would really appreciate if he could talk and show case a bit more about car interiors and features than only driving dynamics.
I think most car reviewers don't usually dwell on interiors & comfort features. I've come to accept that and for any of that I can always rely on Carwow 😀😀😀
@@Under_Construction100 I follow Carwow too. I like their detailed reviews. But I prefer the representation of Rory. If only he could talk a little more about the interiors it shall be complete.
He reviews fast cars. Most people buying fast cars cars about the driving dynamics and not interior. When he reviews suvs he does go into details about space and interior.
Outstanding review of an outstanding car. If I had £250K to buy a Maserati MC20 with all the custom trimming, I’d be down at the dealership in a heartbeat.
I've never seen this type of a car review, feels like a documentary with all the mythological and folklore stuff, kinda makes it more immersive and interesting, not to mention that Maserati is just gorgeous.
Great to see a good Maserati finally that hopefully isn't made out of leftover parts from the FIAT parts bin this time. I've been waiting for one to live up to the name. Also, it's nice to see you out and about driving with drones and other dramatic camera work and scenery - and out of the concept car corner for a bit.
@@doddsalfa I agree. Besides I couldn't care less about where a car's buttons come from. Never have and never will understand why this is a concern for people. It's gonna be more reliable if it's an already tried-and-tested component from another car

Wow! This was the best intro to any car review I've ever seen! Good job Rory and AutoTrader. I really liked how you tied the Blackmere's story and the Maserati trident. Wish you talked about the interior too.
I love small cars, nothing makes me happier than them 🥰🥰 And this MC20 along with the new 296 is engine downsizing done right, by making the car smaller along with it, WOW do I love these cars 🥰
Thanks for the great video as always. The way you describe the cars you are driving gives us a really good sense of what it is like to experience them. Because must of us never will.
One of the best car reviewers on TH-cam! I’ve had the pleasure of seeing this amazing car at my dealership. It looks bar far better in person - It’s sImply stunning!
Why this channel isn't growing in subscribers is a subject that should be studied seriously. I don't get it, This channel makes the best shot reviews ever..
Collectors will be coming for this car. It started off with bad marketing and the badge image concerns. It has proven itself as an amazing car. We will look back on these prices and wish we had bought one!!!
If I was one of the board member at stellantis, I would propose making Maserati boutique so that it competes with Bentley and Aston martin (and potentially ferrari, lamborghini and Mclaren) then the Maserati's current line up of sedans and SUVs should be under the Alfa Romeo brand name so that Alfa can compete with bmw, mercedes and Audi.
Winner. I'd buy one tomorrow, saw one on the road today and it was captivating to say the least. Good review however I don't approve of splashing road water all around it would take a day of detailing to clean it up. 630bhp turbos oh yeah. The nose/grill is straight out of the 1950s.. gorgeous. Would have to get one of those power valve exhaust that can be opened at will. ..and really one of the best things about it is.. it's not a Ferrari or Lamborghini.
When you go out to buy most things you do compare and when you see what is out there for probably £200k + when you add on the extras it gives you a long list of established options to choose from including Porsche, Lotus, etc
Rory, it's an age thing. When we were young we got the Bora and the Merak. You got the Quattroporte. Although in balance, you didn't have 70s 'fashion' 😁😎
Gorgeous car. The Cielo is on my list of cars to own. The engine may produce more power than the Artura engine but the Artura engine has been limited for that car. Same engine is going to be in models that follow the Artura and is already in some test mules embarrassing their own 720s’. 😉
Thanks for this video, this is my second time watching it and I just paused it b/c you mentioned Maserati lacked the badge of a Ferrari/Lamborghini/McLaren... which I think is kinda hilarious... Ferrari's 1st car was introduced in 1947, Lamborghini's first was 1963 and McLaren in 2010... Maserati was founded on Dec 1st, 1914. They had won 2 Indy500s 1939 and 1940 before Enzo even started making cars, let alone the other 2. Juan Manuel Fangio won his 5th World Title in a Maserati in 1957. Maserati's badge is anything but lacking if you know your automotive history. Maserati and Aston Martin (1914 and 1913 founding dates) are the closest of what are typically considered 'exotic' manufacturers. Maybe I'm just an old dude, but I really wish modern reviewers would educate themselves on their subjects of their reviews a bit more. Heck, I just had a person working at WheelWorks ask me if my Maserati was English!?! I'll take 'Ending in 'i' for $1000, Alex!
Maserati really nailed the design, it's one of those cars that has timeless beauty. The overall look is just great
Now watch it get a major transmission electrical issue and fall to half its value within 2 hours 😛
Maserati just has name and thats it. The design is not exactly jaw dropping.
Not timeless
Hahahahahaha...its always been the issue. Then your car looses value overnight!

Maserati deserves so much more attention and love than it gets. Yes they're not perfect, but no performance brand is, yet everybody loves them

One of the most pleasureful channels to watch on TH-cam reviewing on of the most iconic/ most beautiful car. DOS IT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS?
This production quality, the shots, the cinematography, the sound design is the best I have scene on youtube so far for an Automotive Channel
