As we deconstruct these needle resistant gloves we find narrow flat protection zones, folded metal and uncertain protection zones in the palm. Further, we run this metal technology through our Bally Flex machine. This machine simulates as it counts, flexing fabric similar to grasping and releasing with your palm and fingers. At just 380 flexes we see compromised metal mesh technology, as the sheets of metal fray, shred and bend unevenly. This opens large areas to hazards penetrating directly through to your skin. But equally as dangerous, is what happens when this metal mesh shreds, leaving shavings and shards of metal falling and embedding against the wearers skin. The very technology created to protect you from needle pokes can embed as tiny metal slivers within less than one day of use.
Manufacturers who utilize metal mesh understand it will test well out of the bag before any use, when flat. But after that, users are at extreme and constantly degrading protection levels.
