Another cracking review Shayla, I’ve nit had much of Glenmorangie always felt as it is everywhere I go it had put me off. But I tried the 10 nit so long ago and I was impressed. I totally get that orange and custard smell from it. C and D sound great and up my street. Keep up the awesome reviews. Slainte
I was slow to being a fan of glenmorangie but now it's one of my favorites. Maybe my ability to pick up flavors has improved from my first time trying Glenmo because its so full of flavors that I didn't notice a couple of years ago. Thanks for the review =)
Just bought a Quinta Ruban 14 and what I find especially unique about it is that it's got a distinct matchstick note apart from the juicy forest berry notes. Sulphur in a Glenmorangie, now that's not something I expected! And I gotta say I like that off-note, gives it a bit of an edge rather than being too nice. But I'm a Campbeltown fan so I'm very much used to the 'funk' as it's called.
Interesting. The Glenmorangie Lasanta had a pretty noticeable sulfur undertone the last time I had it. Unlike you I absolutely hate these off-notes. Haven't had the 14 yo Quinta Ruban, really like the old 12 yo however. To me, it's definitely the best out of the standard range. No sign of sulfur whatsoever. Now that I know the re-release of QR might disappoint I will hold on to my last bottle of 12 yo QR for a bit longer.
@@al_kaloid It's pretty subtle in the 14 QR but it's very subjective of course, if you're highly sensitive to it you might find it off-putting. For me as I said it's so well integrated into the other sour/bitter notes that it's a welcome addition to its complexity.
I’ve been working through my first bottle of QR over the last several months. I like it more with every dram. Velvety raisin and chocolate from the port casks. Very enjoyable.
Of the four I've only had the Lasanta, first time yesterday, though mine is the 43% version. I loved it! But then again, sherry-influenced whiskies are my favorite.
I like this collection so much that I purchased four of the collections even though I have all of the whiskeys in the collection. This is a great collection 👍🏽🥃
In Canada, particularly in Ontario the nectar d'or is over $120. I was thinking about splurging on it but watching your recommendations im guessing its probably not worth it. I like the quinta better than the original so I think ill try the La Santa next. Thanks for your help. Really enjoyed the video.
i just grabbed this little mix pack too! really enjoyed the quinta ruban the most. lasanta barely beat out the nectar d'or for me. i could pass on the original tbh though.

Quinta Ruban (in its former iteration as Portwood Finish) was the whisky that got me hooked on single malt whisky.
yeah the Quinta Ruban is by far the best of the 4.
I really enjoy it!
@@whiskycentral It's a always have on the bar whisky and here you can get it for around $50
Nice review❤
Glenmorangie has a really great core range, theese 4 and then the18yo and Signet. 🥂🥂

Great review, thanks!
Great review ! Need to get the collection
Great review, I've had quite a few Glenmorangies but never the Quinta Ruban. I'll have to give it a try.

I enjoy the Lasanta too!
Great review Shayla, Glenmorangie is one of my favs, especially Lasanta. Greetings from Argentina.
I dig the Lasanta too!
I get a lot of chocolate orange. Like those chocolate oranges at Christmas

Great review. Have a great weekend
Thanks Roy! You too
I've only had the original and the lasanta, which is divine. Been eying the quinta ruben. Cheers.
It's so good! :)
Love this distillery. Dr. Bill is a mad scientist and whiskies are packed with flavor.
4 reviews in 10 minutes flat... you don't mess around ;) My favourite is the Nectar D'Or.
Love this distillery. As always great review!
Thanks so much!

La Santa is a great sherried whisky. I don't think nectar is worth 120. ☺️ Thanks Joseph!
I love how she sounds. None bias, but loves everything. 'Condescending'
Where are the Apolo´s misions rests ???
Enjoyed the review
Drinking Early Times BIB
Do u have an old sampler bec I thought the version of Lasanta changed some years ago from 46% to 43% ABV?
You should do a blind between some of these and some of the aged Hibiki whiskys
Nectar D'Or is sooo good. The next bottle is the Quinta Ruban.
I found the 10, Lasanta, and Nectar d'Or harsh. The Quinta Ruban is pretty decent value.
1 nector 2 original 3 quinta ruban 4 lasanta

Yep, same page here!

@@BubblebathBourbon haha, no worries. We might have similar palates! That's cool 😎
It’s colored for sure. No age statement means you cannot assume 12 years
