MT WHITNEY - Day 46 Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail

- 1.5 months into this epic journey, I find myself in the Sierra Nevada, amongst some of the tallest peaks in the US. On day 46, my trail family and I make the summit push of Mt Whitney, an iconic peak and one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen.

Nice update! My partner hiked the PCT in 2017, and he has been nothing but raving about trail magic and trail family. I'm now going to do my longest solo hike ever (with my dog ) across the Pyrenees this summer. You inspire me to document some of it, too. I'm impressed how you manage to do all those updates while out there and just on your phone! Keep it going. You inspire many to get out there in nature.

Glad you posted here too as Instagram can get irritating often freezing videos. I grew up hiking in Colorado and can’t even imagine hiking those steep snow fields and rocky ledges in pitch black darkness!! Safe travels! Thank you for taking us along vicariously.

I've been enjoying the story from Instagram, even though I'm primarily a TH-cam viewer.
I figured it was difficult to do both during the hike.

I was wondering why were you using the red light in one part and then switched to white? Is the red light better for visibility in the forest section or so you don’t bother the animals?
