I am so happy for you that you decided to do the Sierra now, and safely got through Forester Pass! You go gurl! 💪 The music accompaniment was spot on, bravo! 👏
The side trip to town via Kearsarge Pass is always a difficult decision - the out and back miles (and altitude) is a full day all by itself. But staying on the PCT, it's a long way (and three more passes) to the next exit.
Wow you all are amazing, what a hike. You all should feel very proud. That was something there are no words. Enjoy your zero, you have earned it. Keep on keepin on!
Quick PSA: it's not Forrester, as in run Forrest, run. It's Forester, as in Forest service, since a ranger discovered the route for a possible engineered pass. (The original JMT had slight detours/work arounds for both Forester and Mather. They're steep because they were literally blasted out of granite cliffs.) RR, glad you caught it epic; the Sierra become a lifelong addiction for many.
Ok, a few things about this video. 1. The music you chose was awesome for this! The intense music had me waiting for you to fight a wolf in the snow like on 300 when they are training to be Spartans. 😂 2. Absolutely gorgeous!!!! 3. Way to go on your self arrest practice. 4. When you add in the SpongeBob time laps thing, my 8 year old son, who is my backpacking buddy, thinks it's hilarious 😂
Wow the music was fantastic I was so nervous watching! Y’all experienced climbing and viewing a place where most people dream of! It was amazing 🤩 Thank you again for filming your epic journey ❤
Epic indeed Roadrunner! Early morning mountaineering at it's best, happy hikers having the time of their lives. I am very happy for and so proud of the entire team!
You outdid yourself today! Incredible video and sound !! The adventure continues. We all will miss Somewhere. Maybe you will re-connect at a later date.
Today’s video and today’s accomplishments illustrates that you are with the right people at the right time! This team did an excellent job and I some proud of and happy for all of you. Somewhere was a great addition and I’m glad she was with this group for this epic day. We knew she would probably move on, but it was nice to have her here for a while!
I’ve been quietly following along but I just have to say I can imagine what an epic day it was because it was an epic episode! I have been filling Oct hikers for about 4 years now and this I think was the best glimpse of what it must really be like to do forester! Well done!
Wow! What an incredible memorable day for sure! Love your music choices for this video! I felt like I was watching a movie! So proud of your accomplishments! You go girl!
Wow! Great job getting over Forrester. Way to go Somewhere! Great job all around. Yes, RR, respect those "river crossings". Safe travels and happy trails. Bye, Somewhere. Be safe!
Great video, loved your soundtrack hope you had a great zero you guys certainly deserved it. Last year some of the rivers still had snow bridges over them. The cold water helps with inflammation. 👻
Good morning, Julianne. Congrats on doing Forester Pass and Kearsage Pass. Sorry to hear Somewhere decided to move on without the group. Ya'll did great on those passes. Can't wait to see what is next. Take care. Stay safe. See you tomorrow.
Good hike crossing both Forester and Kearsarge in one day. Starting early makes the snow a not easier/safer, but that's still a long trek over two big passes. You did great at elevation, too, that's tough. I'm sorry to see Somewhere push ahead Solo, but she seems well-prepared (mountaineering gaiters, MSR XGK stove(?)) and will probably find other groups for river-crossing safety. A little rest and recharge probably felt good for your group after this piece of trail.
As much as you hate heights you did AMAZING! Such beautiful scenery! Some sketchy spots too, a huge thrill. Good idea for early start as the sun reflects off that sun and you can get sunburned even with suns red on! Big kudos!
Oh and funny story on the north side of Forester I was bouldering around some snow patches and felt my hand touch something gooey and brown on the rock. At first I thought it was poop. Thank God it turned out to be peanut butter
Glad you enjoy it but the most epic day of your life? Maybe so far, I hope that you have a lot of days of similar epicness in the future! Muir pass is also quite fascinating.
Brings back good memories. Snow levels seem fine and below normal. Which is good for the rest of the Sierras especially with the river crossings. One thing I did want to mention after seeing the part that you videoed the two others glissading. They need to get some practice. That's quite bad technique of glissading and self arrest. Mather pass will give you all another shot at it. Kearsarge is the best side trail on the Triple crown. Perfection.
Woo hoo look at you 😂 all smiles.. great day and amazing music to start it off.. makes you wonder just how dangerous it could be. Blessings for continued safe trails
Road Runner, I was in the group behind you and I am so thankful that you did such a wonderful job capturing the experience. One Track
That is sweet!!
All the best on your hike!
The red light and music gave me goosebumps! The score changes everything. Very dramatic and exciting!
The music, the red light, the grit, rhe fellowship, the weather and nature. Great vid. Thanks for sharing
The girl who wouldn't make it 2 weeks on the AT keeps on truckin' over Forrester Pass. You go!
Roadrunner, this is the most beautiful video you have made to date!
So proud of you Roadrunner. Who says Florida Gals can’t hike the Sierra Mountains. Super sweet video. One to cherish for sure!!✌️🙂❤️Major shoutout!!✌️
Look at that smile. Your happiness is contagious!
Best personality of any of the thruhikers.
I agree! That smile, her courage and her unique accent. Does it get any better
I am so happy for you that you decided to do the Sierra now, and safely got through Forester Pass! You go gurl! 💪

Love the music choices. Nice job on Forrester! 🙂
Epic is an understatement. Wish I could have been there. Safe hiking to all.

This music was amazing.
Woohoo! I've never been up there myself, and every time I see video of Forrest Pass I just can't believe there's a trail up that vertical wall.
Wow! Great job getting over Forrester. Way to go Somewhere! Great job all around. Yes, RR, respect those "river crossings". Safe travels and happy trails. Bye, Somewhere. Be safe!
Great video,Loved the dramatic music!! Nice touch!!
Congratulations on completing Forester PASS..
Well that was scary! Y’all rock!
Excellent music choices! Long day. Enjoy your zero. Happy trails! 👣
Great video, loved your soundtrack hope you had a great zero you guys certainly deserved it. Last year some of the rivers still had snow bridges over them. The cold water helps with inflammation. 👻
Great choice of music for this episode. I kept thinking a Yeti was going to jump out and attack you all. 🙂
Amazing
Epic night and day of hiking! Thanks for sharing the beautiful mountain scenery.
Beautiful weather for that part of your hike! I'm imagining how brutal and horrible and difficult that area could be in stormy weather!
Wow...what a vid....great job...thanks for taking us along....two passes in one day!
Beautifully filmed and done. Epic day! Crazy miles too! Way to go!
The music tho! Ha ha ha. Love it!

Good morning, Julianne. Congrats on doing Forester Pass and Kearsage Pass. Sorry to hear Somewhere decided to move on without the group. Ya'll did great on those passes. Can't wait to see what is next. Take care. Stay safe. See you tomorrow.
I believe Somewhere wants to do the AT, PCT and CDT ASAP so she's on a mission
@@umreeh Good to know why.
Only PCT and AT
Go Somewhere Go! We are rooting you on too! You have got this!!! ❤🙏🏻 AT and PCT!
That was epic. Great music choices.
Big days, big stays!
Wow. Incredible. Truly epic!
Stunning👏🏼
I have been on Forrester twice in the summer but not in those conditions. Congratulations! Hard work and sketchy terrain.
The music gave me goosebumps, as did those views. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hiking that terrain in the dark just scares the crap out of me. Of course the dramatic music didn't help my nerves much. 🤣

Goosebumps!!!
Love your videos you’re doing amazing job. The area is just gorgeous. Be safe God bless.
Epic climb right there.
This looks quite different than hiking up in October. There was no snow and a nice trail.
Love the music❤
Glad you enjoy it but the most epic day of your life? Maybe so far, I hope that you have a lot of days of similar epicness in the future! Muir pass is also quite fascinating.

That was incredible! Congratulations 🎉
We had to go straight up last August as well until we got the switch backs.
Wow! Just amazing!
If you all can do what you did today you can do anything!
Ooooh how exciting! Actually liked the choice in music for the night hike.
Excellent video
