There were so many to choose from. It’s was a very well presented Motor, if you ever seen one tucked away just buy it. They are so rare now. It was the olive green 1071 Downton S that earned a sticker this time, just how a tuned mk1 should be 🤗
Great vid dude! really well put together! Wicked meet too, great variety of standard/modified and different ages and styles! Love seeing those Riley’s! Don’t see them every day … and there is 2! 😂
Thank you soo much mate, love your feedback and support buddy 👍🏻☺️ The Riley’s are stunning! I had a chat with the owner of the green one and its had engine work and has been supercharged !! 140bhp 🤯
Thank you mate!! Tried to do the meet justice. Great to chat with the minimine team and Dave from BMC Hopefully catch you soon though buddy, I’m going to the NEC on the 10th Nov are you going?
@@nickproofcertified you smashed the video buddy really good. Glad you had fun there they are a great bunch. Yes hopefully catch you soon. I will be at the NEC not sure which day yet I will be working with the team 👍
Something that I often wonder about every time I see one. What do you guys think about these huge BMW things still retaining the "Mini" name? Would their owners be welcome in your club by any chance?
Awesome question! I can appreciate what BMW has done with the modern Mini, I do own 2 classics and a BMW R56, I reckon they had to get chunky for crash protection etc. The shell of the classic was largely unchanged, timeless but I wouldn’t like to find the engine sitting in my lap after ahead on 😆 I can’t speak for British Mini Club but certainly at East Mids Minis both Classics and Modern Minis are welcome, the group is very appreciative off both variations, pretty ace community to be part of. Be great to have you along 👍🏻
I used to hate them years ago but have slowly grown to like them, i like the Clubman version, amazing to think the oldest BMW Mini is now nearly 25 years old, harsh reality is as much as i like the original Mini (i have a 1988 Mini i'm restoring), i couldn't have one as a daily driver whereas the BMW Mini i would.
@@Markycarandbikestuff I parked my Suzuki Ignis in a car park recently and couldn't see it at all on my return. It had been hidden completely alongside a huge "MINI" Clubman. I am old enough to remember the cute little Minis being introduced. For BMW to continue using the name is laughable!
@@leoseries It is laughable, but then look at the new Capri and electric Ford Mustang, the Clubman i was thinking about is around a 2010 so the older slightly smaller shape, the latest ones are like SUVS, there are pretty much no modern cars i find attractive now. The original Mini was a car of it's time, there was no way it could carry on (it was practically hand made for a start so cost to much to make), everyone wants to drive huge tanks now so they feel "safe" .
Great video, with some crackin mini's!! 👍 Cool 😎
Arrr thank you very much! I really appreciate your kind words.
There were some awesome cars, very cool indeed 😎
What a feast of real Minis!

New Mini, to me is a BMW. Not a Mini. But the old one would pass no safety test today.
