    Upgraded to this C2 from my C9 ... Best Buy said I had burn-in on my C9 (kicker, I didnt!) so.... C9 went into a box for later use and BB sent out a new C2 to me!
    My first thoughts - C2 is snappier and the picture is brighter. So far, LOVE this tv and it's certainly noticeably better than the C9 which feels like the first step into what we have with the C2 ... like the C9 was the first to get the GSYNC option and LG began to embrace gaming, both PC and console gaming.
    What a time to be alive in the A/V world!

    When the motion settings are grayed out, go to the AI menu and disable AI genre. Then the motion settings should be adjustable. If any of the motion smoothing settings are on, Cinema Screen will be grayed out. Turn off the true motion settings if you want to use Cinema Screen.

      @@ClassyTechCalibrations I have a lg b1 and I only watch videos and movies(23hz) and I can not watch movies without truemotion. But when connecting to my desktop pc the truemotion gets grayed out due to hdmi is in pc mode. so I have to set hdmi to standard mode or home theater mode. And I also have to disable gsync on nvidia panel. All this have to be done to let me use the tv with my pc to watch videos. Shouldnt this be unecassry and Lg should allow this to be used. Surely many watch videos on their pc and need interpolation to do so. I find it strange that I have to do all of this to not let truemotion get grayed out. And I find it very strange that gsync needed to be deactivated on nvidia panel. Could it be that something is wrong with my tv set or there is another fix or way to do this?

    I just upgraded to a 4K OLED TV, an AVR that supports 4K, and an Apple TV 4K. The OLED TV has the ability to run many of the apps I have installed on my Apple TV 4K (AppleTV+, Disney+, Hulu, Nextflix, Plex, etc.).
    Because eARC supports audio going in either direction between the OLED TV and the AVR, I'm wondering: From a picture/audio quality point of view, is it better to connect the devices to the TV or to the AVR? I'm leaning towards connecting them to the AVR; however, this video shows them connected to the TV. Does it matter?

In other word's, can the hdmi 2 arc output be used only for audi to my sound bar while the TV still gives out the video image from one of the other hdmi ports/consoles? Can a 4k Blu-ray player be plugged separately into both the TV (for visual) and an AV receiver (for audio), so that you still can get the DTS X audio in your speakers when watching a Blu-rays that are in DTS X? And if that is correct, can the C2 also be connected to the AV receiver for when you stream movies? I have physical media and would hate not to be able to utilize DTS that many of them have.

    That blue shirt with the pink flamingos is straight 🔥🔥🔥. Channa you certainly care about the details. That blue light in the back and the pink heart light sign accenting your shirt choice. The review hit all the highlights but didn't feel forced. It felt like an artist knowing where every stroke of the brush is going on the canvas. 🔥👊🔥❤🔥

    Because I’ve never owned an AVR, I’d like to understand why you would connect an XBox or nVIDIA Shield, etc. to the TV rather than to the AVR, which has many more HDMI inputs. Thanks.

    Chana D hi,
    Did you end up keeping the Focal speakers? I know you liked them but was curious if you ended up pulling the trigger for your personal rig? Also why do you think Gene hates Auro? I don't get it he's usually spot on but he seems to have a unfair negative bias towards Auro which is probably hurting the brand unfairly in North America when we need to be pushing Auro to encourage the companies and the public to engage in the superior format which will by extension force the manufacturers of the software and hardware to go where the excitement and market share is but if you're throwing Auro 3D under the bus people and companies won't even give it a chance in an olready crowded arena. Just saying I know he usually listens to you maybe you can help his weird bias out?

    • @TechnoDad
      @TechnoDad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Yes Cybertron, I kept the Focal setup. All 10 speakers are Focal. I can't speculate about Gene but I think you said it best with "weird bias..."

    I had to turn off CEC because the tv kept randomly turning on my Xbox and Playstation when I didn't want to use them. It was great when I wanted to play games because I could turn the entire system on by pressing the button on my controller. But when I didn't want to play games I was constantly having to shut off the game consoles... which would then turn themselves back on again.

    Thank you for making this video. I just picked up the 55" C2 at best buy for $999. Coming from a Samsung 7000 series 50" this thing is AMAZING. Only issue I'm having so far is when I am using the TV with my PC. the image will cut out, go to a black screen for a second and then come back. I do have a HDMI cable the says it is rated for 8k but will be purchasing a different one to see if that helps. The GPU that is in the PC is a Aorus RTX 3070ti. I did not have any issues with the samsung TV once I got this current HDMI cable. I was having similar issues with the generic cable I was using. So I am not sure what might be causing this.

    We just received our new LG 65" OLED C2 and I've already went through the setup process and everything seems good except I have a question. We have an older Vizio soundbar hooked up but it doesn't have any HDMI ports, it has some phono style plugs and an optical input. We have an optical cable from the TV to the soundbar. It sounds pretty good for an older one, we also have a Yamaha subwoofer connected to it. I guess my question is this, is there any benefit to connecting our Amazon Firestick to the eARC /ARC HDMI port or any other particular HDMI port? Currently it's connected to the HDMI number 1 port.. Some of these newer features are a little confusing to me.

    • @bodeine454

      Also, I have (isf) Expert (Bright space, daytime) selected for the picture mode. So far I think the picture looks awesome but I'm not sure what I would gain by switching the mode to Cinema or Filmmaker. This TV is in our living room which normally doesn't have very much ambient lighting, there's one picture window right behind the TV but we usually keep the light filtering drapes closed so it's usually medium lit in here.

    • @TechnoDad
      @TechnoDad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t think there would be a difference in which HDMI port you are using for the Firestick.

    Question, if I have all my sources plugged into my Denon 3800. Do I have to change the picture settings when I watch a SD , HD and 4K source or no? Should I plug my Apple TV or Xboxseries X of 4K BD player straight into the C2? What’s better?

    • @TechnoDad
      @TechnoDad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! You should just be using the one input on the TV if everything else is going through the AVR. The picture settings should change automatically depending on HDR types, not really for resolution.

    I’m a firm believer that these big tv companies are producing inferior products and selling them like they are better because they are newer. I’ve seen older LG and Samsung TVs that are noticeably better than the newer models. Which means they ARE capable of manufacturing very good televisions but don’t.

When i am watching dolby Atmos content on Netflix the soundbar identifies the audio format but the rear speakers or loud as a whisper and it's not speakers related problem because they can get loud when i hear to music. Should i toggle on the sound share mode on tv should i leave it off? Any ideas?

    Thanks for the helpful setup video. I just bought the 77" and had a question about using a digital optic cable for the soundbar system. I have standard sound bar with sub and two wireless speakers on a rear table. What is better to use for the setup, the HDMI in the ARC and do all the settings, or is the digital optic cable fine?
    Do I still need to mess with settings for this?
    Thanks

      HDMI ARC is a better option. It supports Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Atmos, and up to 7.1 channels of uncompressed audio while Digital Optical only supports Dolby Digital and up to 5.1 channels of uncompressed audio. I just bought the same size. Hope this helps.

    Great video Channa and welcome back buddy. If I were to replace my C1, which I aint for a few years, I would grab the C2 in a heartbeat. A C2 or G2 anyway lol. I heard you said you also grabbed a Samsung 95B which is cool and I cant wait to hear your thoughts on that but for me it's a hard pass and I wont say why because I have been over that already way to many times on other TH-cam pages and I honestly have had enough of that discussion lol.
