Su spitting bars is amazing. When I saw BMC live in 2020, it took the roof off! The 9 string guitars on bmc were tuned lower than the 9th circle of hell!

Just as a clarification and explanation, the Legend 1997 concert for Su's 16th Birthday was the transition from canned music to the Kami band backing, with the first half of the concert on backing tracks and Babybones miming the instruments onstage, then the Kamis came on and have provided all the music for all live performances since that night. Live Kamis for almost 10 years now.

Mah man, thanks for watching this tribute to Mikio Fujioka-sama. R.I.P. kogami 🙌❤️
The Kami Band played this Takayoshi Ohmura cover as a sort of intro before Akatsuki throughout BabyMetal World Tour 2015, one of those were at Yokohama Arena (part of the Trilogy Of 2015 series of concerts), the original title was changed to this to honor Mikio's departure.
    🦊🤘❤

The Budokai Tenkaichi title is a reference to martial arts tournament and probably to Dragon Ball too. OTFGK.
BxMxC, or just BMC (the x is just a cool space bar) probably means BabyMetal Cypher but fans like to have fun saying stand for Bring Moa Chicken, because Moa loves fried chicken. 🦊🤘🍗
SuMetal is taking a real challenge with this new trap/rap metal song, she needed to find her flow and boi she can spit some bars and killing it on this one with the attitude. She actually rap since their very first song Doki Doki Morning but of course this one is on another level. But the hip hop and rap elements are more clear on songs like "Iine!" or "Onedari Daisakusen" way before this BxMxC song.
This song was the last one added to Metal Galaxy 3rd album and is an exclusive track (along with ↑↓←→BBAB ) is clear that they took a challenge on this in such short time, and no wonder why they push this song during live shows outside of Japan.
The MV and album track got an auto-tune effect for artistic reasons but just like always live is when SuMetal voice really shine without those effects and the girls with the badass dancing.
You can also find live at Budokan 2021 at BMRR, both with the same avenger Momoko Okazaki now the official new member since last weekend, MomoMetal.🍑❤️
Thanks for sharing and don't forget to put your kitsune up. 🦊🤘🔥

Great reaction. The first song was the Kari Band (the Kami Band in civvies perhaps) and that track was renamed The Hill of Wisteria in honour of Mikio Fujioka (RIP) the first guitarist in this video after he had his tragic accident and died in January 2018.
There is another video made soon after that tragedy at a special memorial concert they put on to benefit his wife and family where Takayoshi (the second guitarist here) is absolutely distraught and in tears as they play this with Mikio's parts on backing track and images of Mikio superimposed onto the video. Takayoshi in that one is playing Mikio's signature guitar which was given to him by Mikio's wife.
For BxMxC you were wrong - that was the Kami Band playing (it may have been the Kami Band of the West if that was from the Legend Metal Galaxy Day 2 concert).
As for "many BABYMETAL fans will not like this..." that was true of the album version which used a lot of autotune and effects on Su-metal's vocals ... some people thought it was so autotuned that they could and would not play it live.
Happily they were proved very wrong and, as you heard, Su absolutely kills it live. It was on the set list for the UK and Europe tour in 2020 and it took the roof off every venue - and the fans at every venue loved it too.
There seems to be no end to Su-metal's talents. This is what she said about 'BxMxC' (I have 'borrowed' this information (again)) -
"They talked about 'BxMxC' in a recent interview.
SU-METAL: That was my first rap experience. For most of my recordings up until now, I would sing “la la laa” to create a sort of vocal line, and then lyric writing began based on that.
But it was different for this track, they had a backing track and lyrics, and then told me to try rapping. So at first I was still trying to figure it out. In hiphop they call it…it was like…ah, I forget!
    MOAMETAL: Wasn’t it…f-…fall?
    SU-METAL: Uh…what was it…
KOBAMETAL (who happened to be there): Flow?
SU-METAL: Flow! (laughs) To get a feel for the flow, I made a lot of different attempts to figure out what would be good. Like how to descend and ascend in pitch, and which timing would be the best to try the pitch changes. Even for the same phrase I’d try going a little ahead of the beat or a little bit behind it, while keeping the whole track’s balance in mind."
BxMxC probably means 'BABYMETAL Cypher (a cypher being some sort of rap battle I think) ... but until that is confirmed officially I'm still going with 'Bring Moa Chicken'.
In another interview the first question to Moa was "How are you feeling right now?"
MOA: "Hungry, I need to eat fried chickens!"

      @gaplauche ปีที่แล้ว +4

@@Cheezyxyz A rare opportunity to correct Grington. 😅 But that wasn't the 仮BAND / Kari Band performing The Hill of Wisteria. Those were Kami Band regulars Mikio Fujioka (guitar), BOH (bass), Takayoshi Ohmura (guitar), and Hideki Aoyama (drums). The Kari Band is specifically a jazz fusion project formed by Mikio, BOH, and Yuya Maeta (Kami of Drums in 2014). With Mikio's tragic death in 2018, the Kari Band is just BOH and Yuya now. They bring in guests to record and perform live. Check out the music video for 侍Groove / Samurai Groove: th-cam.com/video/Ct4_nCCuSRk/w-d-xo.html. The guitarist in this is Satoshi Oka, one of Mikio's students.

The first Kami Band soloist was Mikio Fujioka. He died at 36 in a tragic accident where he fell from a star gazing platform. He was a unique and amazing member who is missed badly by the band.

    Excellent double reaction, thanks!
    About "The Hill of Wisteria":
Of course they are (in order of the solos): Mikio Fujioka, Takayoshi Ohmura, Daisuke Bohte aka BOH and Hideki Aoyama.
The song was originally called “The Gathering of Metal Warriors” but Ohmura changed it to "The Hill of Wisteria" as a tribute to Mikio after his untimely decease, as his last name's kanjis mean: 藤 (Fuji) = Wisteria and 岡 (Oka) = Hill.
    RIP Ko-Gami
    About "BxMxC":
Unofficially stands for "BABYMETAL Metal Cypher" but we prefer "Bring Moa Chicken" 😁
The "problem" with this song was the studio version and the way they overdid Su's vocals effects. It's obviously a stylistic decision but many fans (me included) don't like it. BUT the live version pretty much solves that "problem" and the performance is amazing. And yes that's the Kami Band playing for real over the electronic sounds coming from a backing track.
    Until next time!

Nice double reaction. Getting to see the Kamiband guys in their own element is a treat. It's hard to watch though or should I say bittersweet. Since Mikkio is one of the guitarists and he passed away back in 2018 from a falling accident. Very sad. He also was a mentor to some of the other guitarist. Ohmura most notably. When they did the tribute to him they played this song and he is in a lot of pain playing the song. He plays it through like a champ. And then we have the Bring Moa chickens song. When Moa was asked how she feels. She said hungry I need chickens. Notice the plural. They do burn those calories during a show. It's answers like that. Is one of the reasons folks love Moa. Honest and tells it like it is. Many others would have had some more diplomatic answers. Not Moa. She's going to tell you what's on her mind. Food and we can relate. lol. While you're right that this song some fans didn't like because of the rap style to it. Many others loved it. Takes me back to Anthrax and Public Enemy collaboration. Some loved it other hated it. I like both styles of music. So, this was great for me. And Su got to stretch her vocals here. Which was really cool. Especially when she did this live. Nearly caved the roof in. Such is the power of Su-metal. The video itself dropped at the start of Lockdowns for covid and came as a total surprise. Once again Babymetal surprising even their biggest fans. Enjoy the ride through the foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music.

By now it's not even unusual anymore: I don't like Hip Hop at all, but if you give it to BABYMETAL, it becomes fantastic. Su said it took her a while to "find the flow" for this song. But that's one of the awesome things about her: She tackles a new style of singing for the first time, and she sits down and works on it until it's perfect. I really admire that. I was blown away when I saw this performed live for the first time.

For the exception of that fun little bit in "Iine" they haven't done any other metal rap, but if you like that verbal fire rhythm of "BxMxC" then I definitely suggest "Metalizm" off their new album.
They have even put the audio track out themselves (no visuals) th-cam.com/video/S0pZ8wb99XE/w-d-xo.html and the nice thing about this album is that people haven't been hit up for copyright strikes on it, I think Amuse has finally caught on that the reactions spread the fanbase.
