Iine (ee-neh) may be something you wouldn't care so much for. It's one of their earliest songs and has a bunch of different stuff in it, like electronic and dance-type parts. The official video is the one you'd want to check out. No promises you won't like it though.
Ya iine is definitely one that you probably won’t like over all, may like aspects of it. It was on their 2014 album recorded some time between 2012 and 2014. If you like Dragonforce then Road of Resistance will be up your alley. Since you did like this, megitsune would be something else for you.
I guarantee you that if you watch their music video for "iine" your brain will explode. It was Babymetal's 2nd music video back from 2011 so they were still just starting out and had nothing to lose for being weird for the sake of being weird. They started out with the idea of melding very different genres of music together like J-Pop and Heavy Metal and sometimes they blended together seamlessly and sometimes they didn't. IINE will give you whiplash.
As to the vocals here you are getting the voice of a 23 year old Su compared to the 16-18 year old voice you got in Rondo and Road of Resistance. That is why I would love to hear her do her older solo's such as Rondo and No Rain, No Rainbow now.
She did Akatsuki at Budokan, and it sounded great (from the fan cams, sadly I wasn't there), but she still goes to a high pitch when injecting power or when she wants to.
Su-Metals range is incredible! This would be good for a band that specialized in this genre. For a band that doesnt to suddenly do this is absolutely insanely good.
I love how far the band is willing to go outside of their comfort zone. They could have easily just kept producing the same sort of music that made them famous, but they keep going way out on a limb with stuff like this. Absolutely fearless.

BxMxC live is hard hitting even in this version without an audience, but the MV version has a lot of processing on Su's voice (to make her voice sound electronic), and the electronic aspect of the music is higher on the mix. They use electronics in lots of their songs, but IMO it's very well done. You could check Headbanger, Megitsune or Syncopation for examples of this, and if you hear the live versions you will still feel the metal (all three are great songs). Now if you want to find something you likely won't like, well the kiddie songs (Song 4, Iine, Doki Doki Morning, Uki Uki Midnight) feel weird, but they are written for kids. On their second album they had Adawama Fever, but it hits hard live, similar to BxMxC. The newest album has the whole "Light side" which can be too poppy for my taste. Da Da Dance is basically an EDM song with some guitars/drums thrown in, Elevator Girl is basically pop rock song, and others are a bit experimental.

I think people might have thought you would not like the official music video/official audio cos they use autotune? They don't in the live performances. In fact, for a minute, some doubting thomases thought Su might not be able to perform this one live because the effects were such a distinct part of the song. Of course they were wrong. Okay, you want something you won't like from BABYMETAL, judging on what you said about your tastes in this video, check out "Iine" or "Da Da Dance". Those have a real different energy than this song (still great as all BM songs are). These two songs have that more upbeat electronica kind of vibe.
if you want to push yourself on the kawaii part of BM, then check out Doki Doki Morning. The contrast between kawaii and heavy formed the genre template they created and have evolved from but I think still works today. Some parts will definitely challenge you, though.
Very EDM...DA DA DANCE is just an eurobeat-metal song. Or Iine! has also a lot of EDM, go on with the music video if you choose that one. Also, this performance of BxMxC here was the first one after they came back from nearly a year of hiatus due to COVID, and they still were a bit out of form; Su is a bit out of breath at some points of this performance, she usually nails it a lot better.
If you're looking for something you won't like try Da Da Dance or Shanti Shanti Shanti. Very experimental songs is all I'll say. If you're into metal, then they might not be your preferred choice. I love them btw :)

The ones most likely to get a no from you are older poppy tracks like Iine or Doki Doki Morning, but I'd be more interested is seeing up down left right abab since it's a more recent heavily electronic track with a much lighter tone than this. It's a good song so I'm not saying you won't like it, but it's definitely very different than what you've heard so far.

The MV/album version has more autotune/electronic effects on her voice, maybe that thought it would scare him off ? Also seems to me this live version has Su-metal's vocals lower in the mix.
I agree with what others have suggested...please react to "Iine!" (the official music video - reactors have NOT had issues with it getting blocked since it's so old). It's an old song so the girls are very young and it has some EDM as well as other genres in it. It is pronounced like "ee nay" since it's spelled as "iine". The capitalized "i" looks like a lower case "L", so almost every youtuber says it wrong as "Line" at first.
Honestly, I don't think we tricked you, I think you tricked us, lol. Since we knew you're a metal guy, we recommended some of the stuff that more aligns with what you already know to get you to buy in....and you were kinda feelin it, kinda not. I figured your "give me something I *won't* like" was sort of a way to get us to not box you in so much and really challenge your ears with something more off-the-wall....and it ended up being the best decision yet.

'Babymetal' does not appear anywhere in the lyrics in English or Japanese so neither does Babymetal Cypher. With that said, it does make the most sense that BMC means Babymetal Cypher.
I think DDD is a good suggestion for him to react to. I wasn't sure how I felt about it at first myself, but now love it sans the Moa part though (always sounds out of place).
I know exactly why you like this song more than any of the other Babymetal songs: Babymetal is no longer "kawaii metal" which was what made them so appealing in the first place; now they seem to be just another J-metal band albeit a damn fine one. But if you want a challenge of "Won't Like", I suggest their first music video "Doki Doki Morning" or their second, "Iine"; since you were "eh" with "Sis. No Rain No Rainbow is the song you might not like. It's the one song i would say that is not Metal. It's a ballad. Sort of like the Metal ballads that a lot of bands did the late 80s and 90s. If you want something really electronic then its (up down left right) BBAB. It's a song about video games. But it's never been performed (damn you covid) and there is no music video so it's audio only.

BxMxC is one of their most popular songs, so whoever recommended that was definitely trying to make you like BabyMetal more, not less. The least metal thing from Babymetal that I can think of is the Night of 15 mix of their song Headbanger. Obviously I'd recommend listening to the official version before listening to a mix, but the mix has no metal aspects at all, so it could be something you'll dislike. The mix is from a special edition CD for their IDZ single, but they did perform it live at least once, so I think it's fair game to show you. I personally don't mind this version of the song, but since everyone else is recommending Iine, I figured I'd throw you a curve ball and go for something more obscure. Okay, you want something you won't like from BABYMETAL, judging on what you said about your tastes in this video, check out "Iine" or "Da Da Dance". Those have a real different energy than this song (still great as all BM songs are). These two songs have that more upbeat electronica kind of vibe.

if you want to push yourself on the kawaii part of BM, then check out Doki Doki Morning. The contrast between kawaii and heavy formed the genre template they created and have evolved from but I think still works today. Some parts will definitely challenge you, though.

Also, this performance of BxMxC here was the first one after they came back from nearly a year of hiatus due to COVID, and they still were a bit out of form; Su is a bit out of breath at some points of this performance, she usually nails it a lot better.

If you're looking for something you won't like try Da Da Dance or Shanti Shanti Shanti. Very experimental songs is all I'll say. If you're into metal, then they might not be your preferred choice. I love them btw :)

I don't know what crazy person throught you wouldn't like that but I'm glad you did it anyways. The ones most likely to get a no from you are older poppy tracks like Iine or Doki Doki Morning, but I'd be more interested is seeing up down left right abab since it's a more recent heavily electronic track with a much lighter tone than this. It's a good song so I'm not saying you won't like it, but it's definitely very different than what you've heard so far.

i am with others. who the heck thought that a metal guy wouldnt like this one? try Doki Doki, Uki Uki midnight, iine live should be the ones that freak others out. but they do so many different styles so you can choose.
The MV/album version has more autotune/electronic effects on her voice, maybe that thought it would scare him off ? Also seems to me this live version has Su-metal's vocals lower in the mix.

I agree with what others have suggested...please react to "Iine!" (the official music video - reactors have NOT had issues with it getting blocked since it's so old). It's an old song so the girls are very young and it has some EDM as well as other genres in it. It is pronounced like "ee nay" since it's spelled as "iine". The capitalized "i" looks like a lower case "L", so almost every youtuber says it wrong as "Line" at first.

Honestly, I don't think we tricked you, I think you tricked us, lol. Since we knew you're a metal guy, we recommended some of the stuff that more aligns with what you already know to get you to buy in....and you were kinda feelin it, kinda not. I figured your "give me something I *won't* like" was sort of a way to get us to not box you in so much and really challenge your ears with something more off-the-wall....and it ended up being the best decision yet.

No bullshit, BABYMETAL is my favorite band, hands down, but I have seen everything they have ever done in order to end up here (I'm a metal- head and musician myself, been one since the 80s.)

@@glenkelley6799 There are a lot of people who think Babymetal Cypher appears in the song. It's tekina metal cypher. I have the Japanese version so can read the lyrics. 'Babymetal' does not appear anywhere in the lyrics in English or Japanese so neither does Babymetal Cypher. With that said, it does make the most sense that BMC means Babymetal Cypher.

I think DDD is a good suggestion for him to react to. I wasn't sure how I felt about it at first myself, but now love it sans the Moa part though (always sounds out of place).
I know exactly why you like this song more than any of the other Babymetal songs: Babymetal is no longer "kawaii metal" which was what made them so appealing in the first place; now they seem to be just another J-metal band albeit a damn fine one. But if you want a challenge of "Won't Like", I suggest their first music video "Doki Doki Morning" or their second, "Iine"; since you were "eh" with "Sis. Anger", I'm pretty sure you'll hate these two songs.

No Rain No Rainbow is the song you might not like. It's the one song i would say that is not Metal. It's a ballad. Sort of like the Metal ballads that a lot of bands did the late 80s and 90s. If you want something really electronic then its (up down left right) BBAB. It's a song about video games. But it's never been performed (damn you covid) and there is no music video so it's audio only.

Well i think you dont really like the kawaii part of kawaii metal so i recommend uki uki midnight that song has a lot of kawaii and a lot of Electronic sound, so maybe you dont like (personally is one of my favorite)
BxMxC is one of their most popular songs, so whoever recommended that was definitely trying to make you like BabyMetal more, not less.
The least metal thing from Babymetal that I can think of is the Night of 15 mix of their song Headbanger. Obviously I'd recommend listening to the official version before listening to a mix, but the mix has no metal aspects at all, so it could be something you'll dislike. The mix is from a special edition CD for their IDZ single, but they did perform it live at least once, so I think it's fair game to show you. I personally don't mind this version of the song, but since everyone else is recommending Iine, I figured I'd throw you a curve ball and go for something more obscure.

@@Cherrios1903 I agree, but BBAB first was only released in Japan, because they thought it wouldn't work for a western audience. They did the same with BMC and Syncopation. With BBAB they were right, I think, but BMC and Syncopation are great songs.
Elevator Girl is one of their few weaker songs, but it has a catchy chorus.
