Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。[If you see fancam of "Babymetal - Karate - live at the Forum, you will know their arena show in US was also spectacular using fire, floor display etc.] On Jan. 19, 2021, I watched the Karate performance with tears on Day-1 of 10 BABYMETAL Budokan Concerts at the venue. Especially, when Su hit the high note flawlessly at the end with her matured rich voice, everything was soothed. Fans knew Team BABYMETAL had gone through hard time in 2020 that was supposed to be a glorious year to celebrate their 10th anniversary. The serial 10 shows in Tokyo were held including the period under the states of emergency caused by COVID. Even many of their fans criticized the Team for taking such risks to hold the big events that timing. The Team, however, challenged the situation and took strict and perfect countermeasures against the infection to complete them. The audience, of course, cooperated with the Team and abided by a number of restrictions and accepted inconveniences to protect the events and make their shows ultimately successful. That is our pride as BM fans. After some two-year hiatus subsequent to the Budokan shows, BM returned in January, this year and their new era will begin in the shows on April 1/2. Yeah! I have tickets to those shows. ヽ(^o^)丿
Fun fact: what makes this performance of 'Karate' extra special is that this is at Budokan, which was originally built as a martial arts venue, and still serves that purpose, as it was the exact location where the karate and judo tournaments of the recent Tokyo Olympics took place. As for the song, it's my favorite as well, next to Megitsune.
Doki Doki Morning:- "Doki Doki Morning" (ド・キ・ド・キ☆モーニング, Doki Doki Mōningu, lit. "Heart-Pounding Morning", stylized as "Doki Doki ☆ Morning" and formerly "Do・Ki・Do・Ki ☆ Morning") is a song by the Japanese heavy metal band Babymetal. The song was released in Japan as an independent DVD single on October 22, 2011, serving as the first single off the debut album Babymetal. •Single by: Babymetal. •Album: Babymetal. •Language: Japanese, English. •Released: October 22, 2011. •Recorded: October 30, 2010. •Genre: J-pop, heavy metal, kawaii metal. •Length: 3:45. •Label: Juonbu. •Composer: Norizo, Motonari Murakawa. •Lyricist: Nakametal. •Producer: Kobametal, SOH (O! SD (arrangement). •Murakawa (arrangement). Babymetal singles chronology:- •"Doki Doki ☆ Morning": (2011). •"Babymetal / Kiba of Akiba": (2012). Background and release The song introduced all three members to heavy metal music; Nakamoto commenting how she had never heard such musical heaviness before, while Mizuno initially had more interest in dancing to the music rather than singing. During song production, the signature Kitsune hand gesture (similar to the sign of the horns) was formed. Vocals for the song were recorded on October 30, 2010. The song's first release was in the Sakura Gakuin album Sakura Gakuin 2010 Nendo: Message, released on April 27, 2011, as part of the Juonbu ("heavy music") sub-unit. The song was later announced as a limited-edition DVD single on October 12, 2011, and later released also as a standard digital download available on October 22 and 23, 2011 for pre-sale at the Sakura Gakuin Festival ☆ 2011 held at Mt. Rainier Hall "Shibuya Pleasure Pleasure", and later sold in limited quantities on ASmart, Amazon, Tower Records Online, and Tower Records Shinjuku starting October 24. The limited edition included a DVD with the "Doki Doki ☆ Morning" music video and a cut of the original video focusing on the choreography for live performances of the song, and a towel embossed with either the logo of the band or the label Juonbu Records. The single was later released as a CD single on April 6, 2012, packaged with a T-shirt. The song was later released as a promotional single in the United Kingdom on December 13, 2015. Composition:- The song has a "modern heaviness" sound in its music, with dark, atmospheric instrumentals that reverse into a catchier and brighter melody with lyrics such as "Rin rin rin! Ohayō, wake up" (Ring ring ring! Good morning, wake up). Kikuchi noted how the tone of the song was directly opposite to Japanese kei-on music (light music); as a result, the band formed under the label Jūonbu (heavy music club) to signify the contrast. Nakamoto, whose vocals were recorded separately from those of Mizuno and Kikuchi, needed to speak quickly but clearly in the verses. Live performances:- The song premiered at the Sakura Gakuin concert Sakura Gakuin Festival ☆ 2010 at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse No. 1 on November 28, 2010. Regarding the group's first performance of the song, Su-metal explained, "What I remember clearly was during the interlude […] we all pretend to fall to the ground...I was afraid that people would just laugh at us and it would be embarrassing, but their reaction made me feel happy and at that time I thought this is who Su-metal is, this is what Babymetal is." Karate @ Budokan 2021. Su-Metal [Single Ponytail] & Moametal [Double Ponytail] are the original members of Babymetal. Momokometal [Freehair] is the Avengers. "Karate" is a song by the Japanese heavy metal band Babymetal from their second studio album, Metal Resistance. Babymetal is the only metal 🤘 band that has a full set of choreographed dance moves which catered and suited for every songs which credited to Mikikometal for the choreography. "Karate" also features djent-like riffs and a J-pop melody. Loudwire's Graham Hartmann described the song as "incredibly charming. Instrumentally, it’s also heavy as hell. The song’s main riff is way low on the sonic spectrum, chugging away in a no-nonsense djent fashion." “Karate” took home the trophy for Best Metal Song @ the 2016 Annual Loudwire Music Awards. Nippon Budokan (日本武道館, Nippon Budōkan), often shortened to simply Budokan, is an indoor arena located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. While its primary purpose is to host martial arts contests, the arena has gained additional fame as one of the world's most iconic musical performance venues. A number of famous rock music acts have played at Budokan. The Beatles were the first rock group to play there in a series of concerts held between June 30 and July 2, 1966. ABBA ended their last tour there. Their final show on March 27, 1980, was the last live concert ABBA performed together. Numerous acts have recorded live albums at Budokan, including Bryan Adams, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Cheap Trick, Dream Theater, Duran Duran, Kiss, Mr. Big, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Journey and Deep Purple. Great Reaction, Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult.
Great reaction, thanks! The staging on the 10 BABYMETAL Budokan shows from 2021 are ones of their most appealing visually and easily among my favorites. "DDM" is their very first song, single, MV, first all. They have performed it (surprisingly) on their 12 latest concerts (the 10 at the Budokan in 2021 and their last two concerts on late January 2023) after not performing it live since December 2017. "Karate" is one of their classics with uplifting lyrics about fighting your inner demons and moving forward no matter how bad the situation is. And a riff that comes out from nowhere and hits you like a bus. Until next time!
Karate at download was spectacular 60 odd thousand metal heads singing the chorus with su just her voice and theirs it was mindblowing and at about 16yrs old commanding a audience that size was something if you can find the clip it's deffo a must see great reaction dude 🤘
Great reaction - shame 'Doki Doki Morning' was blocked. That was their very first song, recorded October 2010 and they made their stage debut with it in November 2010. Doki doki is the sound of a fast or excited heartbeat - it is about a girl waking up late and rushing to get ready for an exciting day at school with her friends. The Budokan 2021 shows were the first time they had played it live since (I think) Tokyo Dome in 2016 - they brought it back specially. It always gets a great reaction from the crowd - now imagine the mosh pits turning into "dance along with the choreo" pits ... it happens. 'Karate' was the lead single for their second album (2016). It is about fighting adversity, when life knocks you down and everything seems too hard so you're hurt and crying, its about standing up and fighting on, helping each other through the hard times. They used karate to illustrate this because as a Japanese martial art it reflects their culture - as with a lot of their songs it is also about always moving forwards. They did watch a lot of martial arts movies to get ideas for the choreo as they wanted it to look as authentic as possible (but they are not martial artists). The official videos for both are worth seeing - for different reasons. Doki Doki Morning was their first video, shot on a shoestring budget and very charming (and they were so small). Karate won 2 awards. "Best Metal Video in MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2016" and "Best Metal Song in 6th Annual Loudwire Music Awards".
Doki Doki (like the Boom Boom of a heartbeat) was their first single. There are a few excellent videos of different performances of Karate and they're all excellent. The original MV is a must to check out, as well as their Download 2016 performance and...well, all of them, basically. Love those guitars on Karate - tuned very low...like, 9th circle of hell kind of low. 🦊🤘🤘🦊
It's worth checking out the original music video of Doki Doki Morning. Because it was their first song, the video was made on a shoestring budget and its kind of bizarre (in a very fun way). Babymetal in Japan is a full theatrical production with with laser light shows, video walls (and floors), moving stages, props, and costumes. When they go overseas, the show is scaled down so you don't get a lot of the really over the top production and staging that you do in Japan. When they play in Japan, they sell out stadiums of 15-20,000 people (and occasionally up to 55,000), whereas when they tour overseas, they tend to play smaller venues, so the show gets scaled down accordingly. Both kinds of shows have their different appeal; the stadium spectacular is mindblowing in its scale and grandeur, but the small venue show is much more intimate and you get to see them perform up close in a slightly more relaxed setting. No matter where you see Babymetal, they always give 110% regardless.
That Karate video you picked is why I would love to go to Japan and see them there! It looked like an amazing show! 🤘🦊🤘 I don't think you've done Papaya yet... another fun one right there!
Another awesome reaction from you Cheezy. I love that you had a big Cheezy grin on your face the whole way through Karate, which makes me think you’ve officially become a BabyMetal fan. Love your work mate!
So, how many people has asked you to checkout Karate from Download 2016? check it out. here you see how a Japanese crowd reacts to Babymetal, at Download you get to see how 60,000 western metal fans react. 🤘🦊🤘
Thanks for this reaction. 7:59 and she knows it judging by her fare. 🙂 She never did it badly, but it might have been particularly happy with that one.
_Ossu!_ Welcome back to the Foxhole 🦊🤘🥋 Unless you used a watermarked logo clip or a live compilation clip everything from Budokan 2021 will be blocked, but you can find Doki Doki Morning official MV, their very first MV when they were really young and also live at Budokan 2014 usually both are safe to react. Budokan 2021 marks their 10 years anniversary celebration and seal the Metal Resistance chapter along with another seal for the group, fortunately that seal is already broken since last year releasing their new singles and kick start of their new era, get ready for a new BM side we've never seen before, 4 already out and 1 more coming this week, they already held two live concerts marking their return after almost two years since this Budokan live concerts, in April they will come back with more live shows and later they will join Sabaton's Europe Tour as a special guests along with Asian and Australian live tour, then more US Festival like Blue Ridge, Louder Than Life and Aftershock, is gonna be a fantastic year for BM fans. They fought against many enemies on this road and many more battles, but they manage to get through all of it, and this song is one of those strong weapons they had, to fight and conquer every metal heart that don't believe in them, you probably already know Road Of Resistance if not I highly recommend to check it out. Budokan is just a name for general martial arts place, there are other Budokan throughout Japan but this one in Tokyo is the most important and is big, this is the place any artist wants to reach when you're over the top, and they did it already in 2014 when they were even younger and having many struggles so they needed a revenge to pull away those ghosts from the past. Sadly this 2021 live concerts is a half capacity due to pandemic restrictions and safety measures, the crowd wasn't allowed to mosh'sh, crowd surfing or shout without face mask, instead they can stomp their feet, clap their hands or doing a human wave, at least they can do something to participate in this epic and memorable date event. Momoko Okazaki was the _avenger_ or third backup dancer filling the third spot in all these 10 live concerts as well latest at Makuhari Messe, she's pointing out to be the next official third member but "Only The Fox God Knows". Karate lyrics is about keep fighting despite the obstacles but always looking for your friends help, that's why you see them helping each other in the bridge section, although if you look for the official MV you'll see revealing that there's no harder enemy than yourself. Try also to look for live at Download Festival 2016 version, is even more beautiful during the bridge and with the full original trio. You can find all these songs from Budokan 2021 with watermarked logo safe to react at Babymetal Reactor Resource channel, check "Future Plans" vid and follow instructions to get all of them. See you next time and always put your kitsune up! 🦊🤘🥋
You are 1000% correct, Karate at Download Festival in 2016 was their finest live performance of the song. I know the Budokan performances were epic, but Download was so much more raw and so much more live, if that makes any sense. Add to that the insane English crowds and it's close to perfection.
I recently heard from a fan who went to the last BabyMetal concert that when the ladies performed "DOKI DOKI MORNING", the whole atmosphere and singing became very kawaii! If you compare it with "Karate", you can hear the obvious difference. Also can see what an amazing singer Su-metal is.
Just a fact: whenever you watch a performance from Budokan 2021, be aware that it was during pandemic restrictions, so no moshing allowed, no shouting/screamin/singing allowed. All the crowd noise you hear, was recorded at other BM shows and used here as a backtrack to keep the same atmosphere!
The Kami Band in Karate is the Western (American) Kami Band. The drummer John Barone is an absolute beast of a drummer. I mean look up his stuff he is insanely talented and heavy on the skins.
The same thing about the two songs you chose, Doki Doki Morning and Karate, is that the girls will lie on the stage during the breakdown, but the reasons are completely different.☺️😁😂😏
I don't know if you've already done so, but you have to react to BxMxC, both the music video and the live performance at Budokan 2021. With one song, Su became the world's best rapper. The secret is to have rap blended into good music to make it enjoyable, just like at the beginning with the Sugar Hill Band, Cypress Hill, House of Pain, Heavy D and the Boyz and The KLF. That was rap you could dance to. Then the West Coast thugs got involved and it all went down the drain, leading to the garbage we hear in the US today. It's both amazing and sad to see that Japan has become the new global face of great music. It's unfortunate that the US will never see those great days of the past resurrected.
DOKI DOKI MORNING was the beginning, the first of everything, arguably the birth of Kawaii Metal. Tho that was some time ago, and a lot of things had happened since, they still performed it well and it is quite a good song in my opinion. KARATE was the immediate follow up after the viral explosion of Gimme Chocolate, at the time when Babymetal just starting to rise to the world. Djenty, heavy, brimming with positive message, it is well a loved track.
This is a bit of a coincidence. The original music video for 'Doki Doki Morning' actually put me off BABYMETAL for 6 or 7 years. All I saw was a bunch of squeaking kids dancing to a fake backing band dressed as skeletons. I've come to love the song as performed by the young women now they're older but back then it didn't work for me. 'Karate', on the other hand, is the song that persuaded me to give them another listen. I heard it at the beginning of last year and was blown away by both the song and the excellent official music video. I love the song's message. The moment when they help each other up and push on united is quite emotional for me.
Nice reaction. I use Doki Doki Morning for my alarm clock in the morning. Works pretty well. karate is on the top of many fans list of favorite songs by them. It's got a lot going for it. That guitar riff, The positive message of the song, Su's vocals as always. And that choreography for it really cool. One of the things that shines from the 10 years of Babymetal performance is how in synch they are. Which is why I hope Momoko is the new Babymetal member. She's done a great job since joining them as an avenger. And has improved at it as well. In the early days of the avengers they all had trouble with keeping up with Moa. You could visibly see them breathing heavy after the song ended. While Su and Moa looked like they just took a stroll in the park. But by the time Momoko gets to this performance she's right there with them. And she's still with them. Performing in the last concert they did at the end of January. And I hope she'll be there for their next concert in April and a long time after as the new metal in Babymetal. This comes about because Babymetal teased finally filling in Yuimetals spot after all these years. Notice I didn't say replacing Yuimetal. As no one could do that. But Momoko could fill it in and make it her own metal spot. She can dance and sing too. We'll find out soon enough as April approaches.
Too bad Doki Doki Morning got blocked. I actually prefer Doki Doki Morning when they performed it in their younger days. I think Su actually sounded better because she was doing her natural voice. In the current performances Moa said Su mimics her younger voice but to me it sounds like she is trying too hard to sound cutesy. I would love to just hear her sing it natualy now too. Karate she always sounds wonderful. 🤘🦊🤘
Since you barely see them, Kami band members here (same line up for anything after mid 2020) Isao : Guitar Takayoshi : with Mikio's Guitar BOH : Bass Hideki : Drums
Amuse is known for blocking videos. You should use the videos that have watermarks over them. Also, make sure to pause early and often. The other way to handle it is to do link and sync. Give people the link and set up timing for the video so they can play it on their own machine.
they can't travel the world with a show like this...the tickets would cost a fortune...it's all based on Japanese high technology...Pearl Jam doesn't have any of that in their show and I hear they are going to charge almost $1000 for tickets for their US tour! wtf?
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。[If you see fancam of "Babymetal - Karate - live at the Forum, you will know their arena show in US was also spectacular using fire, floor display etc.] On Jan. 19, 2021, I watched the Karate performance with tears on Day-1 of 10 BABYMETAL Budokan Concerts at the venue.

Unless you used a watermarked logo clip or a live compilation clip everything from Budokan 2021 will be blocked, but you can find Doki Doki Morning official MV, their very first MV when they were really young and also live at Budokan 2014 usually both are safe to react.
@@mikeat2637 Drownload 2016 with the rain was epic af. 🦊👍
Not to worry, there are more BM songs to come that will be your new favorite song. It's always like this with really great bands.
Awesome as always. Stay Cheezy, dude!
Check out Karate @Download fest 2016
Sugoi! Treat yourself to the Official MV of "KARATE", you will not be disappointed!
Arigatou! 🦊🤘 #notacult #shingeki #justsmile
The Kami Band in Karate is the Western (American) Kami Band. The drummer John Barone is an absolute beast of a drummer. I mean look up his stuff he is insanely talented and heavy on the skins.
Beautiful 🖤🖤🖤
You have to watch their studio version videos in chronological order!!
Starting with their first, Doki Doki morning.
Now you've seen it live you need to check out the Karate video too...
I love all things Babymetal but this is the song that started my deep jump into the Foxhole!! I never want to leave!!
The same thing about the two songs you chose, Doki Doki Morning and Karate, is that the girls will lie on the stage during the breakdown, but the reasons are completely different.☺️😁😂😏
BABYMETAL🔥🤘🦊🤘🔥
👍 👍 great reaction. I enjoyed the continuous smile and look of awe on your face.😉
Suggest Shine LIVE (the second song in The Trilogy of Lights).
The music video for Karate is so good, I strongly suggest it.
Fuck yesss!!!
Japan : we ❤️ our audiences so we want to give you full experience
America = we only want to take your 💵💲 without fully trying
Too bad Doki Doki Morning got blocked. I actually prefer Doki Doki Morning when they performed it in their younger days. I think Su actually sounded better because she was doing her natural voice. In the current performances Moa said Su mimics her younger voice but to me it sounds like she is trying too hard to sound cutesy. I would love to just hear her sing it natualy now too. Karate she always sounds wonderful. 🤘🦊🤘
Since you barely see them, Kami band members here (same line up for anything after mid 2020)
Isao : Guitar
Takayoshi : with Mikio's Guitar
BOH : Bass
Hideki : Drums

Nice one👊🏽⚡️Karate was one of my favorites until the trilogy of light🦊🤘🏾….(Go Ducks!)
It's Doki Doki Morning not just Doki Doki
😁😁😁🤘🤘🤘
Amuse is known for blocking videos. You should use the videos that have watermarks over them. Also, make sure to pause early and often. The other way to handle it is to do link and sync. Give people the link and set up timing for the video so they can play it on their own machine.
🤘🦊♪
2 thumbs up. Su and the band
I don’t get why some gets the music videos blocked and some dong. Seams strange.
What song is playing on your intro
they can't travel the world with a show like this...the tickets would cost a fortune...it's all based on Japanese high technology...Pearl Jam doesn't have any of that in their show and I hear they are going to charge almost $1000 for tickets for their US tour! wtf?
