@@autohmae Thank you for pointing that out. I felt very uncomfortable writing her age... I made a mistake with the DVD release date(07/01/2015) and the date of the concert(02/03/2014). I fixed it.
The level of the Kamiband is best illustrated by what Boh (the bassist) wrote in a blog: We quickly learned not to be casual about playing together, because if one of us made a small mistake or was a little out of rhythm, the others would look at him like "what are you doing?" Must be very intimidating to anyone not used tot that kind of mastery.
Some channels put out a BABYMETAL reaction on a particular day every week - BABYMETAL Monday and so on... doing this will stretch it out and allow for other reactions while also letting fans interested in the band to be expecting another one on that day. And to potentially save someone’s life I will mention that they were playing at Budokan. You can’t kill to get there. You have to be invited. ;-)
FWIW, Mike Portnoy ranks Hideki Aoyama as one of the best drummers on the planet, and in the same interview stated that Tales of the Destinies was one of the hardest songs he's ever learned. That's decently high praise, that.
You're doing good clean reactions the people are looking for the videos cuz they're hoping you'll love the their groups their bands as much as they do 👍👍👍
If you end up becoming interested in the girls background (Nakamoto Suzuka, Kikuchi Moa and Mizuno Yui), the best I can recommend to react would be "My Graduation Toss" by Sakura Gakuin (The Idol group they were part of, and where Babymetal came from in 2010 as a subunit. The subunit is called 重音 部 "Jūon-bu" and "Doki Doki Morning" was their first song, released within the album "Sakura Gakuin 2010 Nendo - Message". Suzuka graduated from the group in 2012, Moa and Yui graduated in 2014...) The music that is seen by most as the one that opened the western market for them is the live of "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" at Sonisphere in 2014 (They were scheduled to perform on a small stage for a maximum of 5,000 fans who knew them, and for some reason, they were rescheduled to the main stage, with 50+ thousand true metalheads who were there waiting for Ghost, Anthrax and other bands with a lot of history in the field). BTW: it was their first time outside of japan :) A little more about the history of BABYMETAL: In 2017 Yui left the group due to health issues, and was expected to return to the 2018 tour, but she decided to leave the group, due to such health issues. Since then 3 girls have been alternating in the dance part of the shows - Riho Sayashi (Ex-member of the group Idol Morning Musume), Okazaki Momoko (Ex-member of Sakura Gakuin, graduated in 2017) and Fujihira Kano (Ex-member of Sakura Gakuin, graduated this year, in August). Riho started a solo career as an actress and singer a few months ago, and Fujihira is part of an Idol group that also originated within Sakura Gakuin with the other girls who graduated with her, so we don't know if they will dance with BABYMETAL or whether Okazaki Momoko will become an official member of the group... Here's a compilation of HIdeki's playing: th-cam.com/video/cPiFwmOtRZU/w-d-xo.html And here's more of the Kami Band: th-cam.com/video/PMJ2RkYkhAA/w-d-xo.html
As everyone mentioned, there isn't really a drum cam for Hideki's work with Babymetal. They are really tight on that with them, mainly to protect the girls. When they started Su was 13 if not 14, while Moa and Yui were 11 if not 12. To protect them as well as not giving insight into their private lives, they came up with a storyline/lore based around a mythical creature called the Fox God. That God also chose his musical avatars, known as Kamis, or gods, to play with them. That is to also give them the ability to rotate members of the band out to not interfere with any other projects they may have. Side note: most of the Kami band you see here all played together in a side project called the Kari Band, or played with Takayoshi Ohmura (he played the 2nd solo). A good cam shot of Hideki with that is in the video for "The Hills of Wisteria." Link for that is below. Finally, you said that you would kill to play in that arena. That is the Budokan arena, which while is primarily used for sumo wrestling, is a famous arena. You have to be INVITED to play there. The first band to ever play Budokan was the Beatles. More famously in the US, you'll know that Cheap Trick played there. Their song "I Want You to Want Me" was taped there and released as that single. Babymetal is the youngest band/group ever to play Budokan. The Hills of Wisteria: th-cam.com/video/1AfZH_xdIXE/w-d-xo.html
Awesome. Yeah, the intro here is amazing, and it's also a lot of fun to see the Kamiband get to mug for the audience. Boh and Ohmura especially. It's also one of the best songs for Su to impress with her vocals. An unsually dark song for Babymetal, so it shows off part of her range we don't get to see often. In terms of drum cams, all I can offer is that he's sponsored by Yamaha, so he does have some promo videos for their kits.
it's rumored that Yui and Moa actually had to study for school while Su did her solos. No one has ever mentioned if Su did the same while Yui and Moa performed.
To answer the "where are the others" question, this is a solo song for Su, the other two, known as Black Babymetal (could be the other way around) also have some songs alone, as a duo
Cool review, the two days of this concert where great. The band is super then add the voices of the girls and you have an outstanding group. Thanks for the review.
It's actually the same mic in the whole video. You only get the whole idea at the end why it looks like that. But the reaction to it is always worth it.
is this a breakdown or solo,.?? well,..basically "Mischief of Metal Gods Intro" is a ritual performed by the god of guitar, bass & drum to summoned the Metal Queen Su-Metal. because in this song her human soul has been trapped in the recurring nightmare with no way to escaped. BM backing band is known as the "Kami Band". Kami means "Gods" in Japanese. In BM lore, the Kami band are gods of Metal sent by the Fox God to help BM unite all the peoples of the world as ONE. they dressed in white robes and corpse paint similiar to traditional Japanese burial. the Kami Band in this show are : - Leda Cygnus (1st guitar solo) in the past usually play with 6 string, but now he's using 7 or 8 string. - Takayoshi Ohmura (2nd guitar solo) he's using 7 string guitar named "Golden Moon". but, last year during the extra show "BM Metal Galaxy World Tour in Japan", both him & Leda was using 9 string guitar (ESP E-II MF-9 BabyMetal). - B.O.H (6 string bass). - Hideki Aoyama (drum). his little brother (Yuki Aoyama) and father (Jun Aoyama) also a drummers. but, sadly both has passed away. his father is consider as one's of the best drummer coming from Japan. as for the others two member (YuiMetal & MoaMetal), both of them is resting backstage eating tomatoes & hamburger before they performed duet as "Black BabyMetal".
Here is an equipment promo video by Hideki Aoyama that has his drum work from the 5 seconds to one and a half minute mark then again from the seven minutes 20-second mark to the end. And it as brilliant as you would expect! th-cam.com/video/PxBEGMv3JXo/w-d-xo.html

This track is so much darker for a power ballad .she is dealing with a demon that wont leave so she calls out the entity to reveal oneself and learns to live with this burden.lyric up bruh.
The arena they played here is the Budokan, in which you have to be invited to play there, as far as I understand. Yes, one might just have to resort to killing to be able to play there, and Tokyo dome and Wembley.

You will gain subscribers throughout. Then on to Band Maid, then . . Maximum the Hormone . . and on and on . .so much gr8 music out there. Keep up the fun reactions! Thank you. Subscribed :)
Those four musicians are called the Kamis or Gods by The One. In order of appearance, Leda Cygmus, Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars, Boh on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. This Is my fave song to show to metalheads that don't hv any clues of how legit Babymetal is...

You can find him by searching Kami Band and also other Baby Metal tunes. Down the road check out Akane Hirose, the amazing drummer in the impossible band, Band Maid. Su dose a solo in this one, one of the other girls could be playing the piano. Look for Band Maid, Feb 14, 2020 live. Domination but they are all good.
Don't think they do it now but in the early years they had about two songs each, two Su-metal solos and then the other girls Yui and Moa would do a couple songs of their own as a duet. This gave the girls a chance to have a little break and rest during the concerts
Unfortunately Babymetal has kinda close atmosphere behind the stage. It will be very hard to find drum cam from babymetal show or from rehearsals. Maybe from another projects P.S Rondo of Nightmare is a solo song for Su-Metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) Same as No Rain No Rainbow, Akatsuki, Amore
(I've added some links in a reply comment, I know TH-cam sometimes marks comments as spam if they have links) Is Babymetal popular ? And thus is that why you got a lot of views, yes and no. Babymetal is popular but their fans are very dedicated too (and very well connected, many of us found Babymetal online, this means many already were very active online). It's in part because Babymetal is so good at delivering live performances and experiences. And they got awards to show for it too. This show was the show before Babymetal went on their first would tour. And they were very successful doing so, Babymetal's 3rd album reached #1 on the US Billboard rock (and metal) album charts, first Asian band to do so. Suzuka when she was a little girl (she was 16 here, not old, but at least older and they still aren't tall to this day either LOL) was dreaming to sing at the famous Budokan venue in Tokyo. Babymetal sold out for 2 days in row. The venue has been used for many artists, The Beatles were the first to perform there. It's actually a martial artists venue. The stage is 360 degrees, so during a martial arts finale everyone can see it as well as is possible for such a large venue. It still used for that today. In 2019 for example it was the stage for Judo World Championship. I sometimes compare it to the Royal Albert Hall in London or Madison Square Garden in New York in how famous it is. As you can see the girls, especially Su-metal is the center of Babymetal. The musicians are like a supergroup. They play based on availability as session musicians, when it comes to drumming Hideki has done the most performances. Yuya Maeta is the the second most Japanese frequent drummer with Babymetal. Anthony Barone has now probably done second most performances with Babymetal because doing some of the largest US and EU tours of Babymetal in 2019/2020. I think after the death of (guitarist) Mikio (RIP Mikio sensai !) Babymetal wanted to make sure they have enough musicians to always be able to continue to perform (so they now have this western Kami band and eastern Kami band). And now they have everyone in place... because of covid they are not able to tour. Yuya Maeta and 6-string basist BOH with Mikio had their own Jazz fusion band called Kari-band. After the death of Mikio they did continue though. But I don't think they have found a new permanent 3rd member. I don't know of any good videos of Hideki's playing up close. Maybe we should search a bit more on NicoNico ('Japanese TH-cam'). I just know of a compilation of video of his solos in Babymetal.

I made a mistake with the DVD release date(07/01/2015) and the date of the concert(02/03/2014). I fixed it.
@@meimemeime it's always a bit confusing when it comes to Su-metal, because her birthday is so late in the year. so not to worry, you are not alone.
The level of the Kamiband is best illustrated by what Boh (the bassist) wrote in a blog: We quickly learned not to be casual about playing together, because if one of us made a small mistake or was a little out of rhythm, the others would look at him like "what are you doing?"
Must be very intimidating to anyone not used tot that kind of mastery.
You have to be invited. ;-)
That's a great idea!
@@DimitarK So BABYMETAL in 2020, some other band in 2021, that kinda thing :P
FWIW, Mike Portnoy ranks Hideki Aoyama as one of the best drummers on the planet, and in the same interview stated that Tales of the Destinies was one of the hardest songs he's ever learned. That's decently high praise, that.
You're doing good clean reactions the people are looking for the videos cuz they're hoping you'll love the their groups their bands as much as they do
👍👍👍
Well, I try to ne as honest as possible and in this case I really like Babymetal :)
Suzuka graduated from the group in 2012, Moa and Yui graduated in 2014...)
The music that is seen by most as the one that opened the western market for them is the live of "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" at Sonisphere
in 2014 (They were scheduled to perform on a small stage for a maximum of 5,000 fans who knew them, and for some reason, they were rescheduled to the main stage, with 50+ thousand true metalheads who were there waiting for Ghost, Anthrax and other bands with a lot of history in the field). BTW: it was their first time outside of japan :)
A little more about the history of BABYMETAL: In 2017 Yui left the group due to health issues, and was expected to return to the 2018 tour, but she decided to leave the group, due to such health issues.
Here's a compilation of HIdeki's playing: th-cam.com/video/cPiFwmOtRZU/w-d-xo.html
And here's more of the Kami Band: th-cam.com/video/PMJ2RkYkhAA/w-d-xo.html

Thank you for listening to Babymetal
Thank you for listening to Japanese music
Great reaction🤘☺️
Dude every channel that do the BM reacts skyrocket, two channels i watch pick a day to do their reacts lol
COVER THEM ALL! I LOVE YOUR BABYMETAL REACTIONS!
it's rumored that Yui and Moa actually had to study for school while Su did her solos. No one has ever mentioned if Su did the same while Yui and Moa performed.
To answer the "where are the others" question, this is a solo song for Su, the other two, known as Black Babymetal (could be the other way around) also have some songs alone, as a duo
Man, you need to cover their song. I will waiting for that.
Cool review, the two days of this concert where great. The band is super then add the voices of the girls and you have an outstanding group. Thanks for the review.
Thank you for the nice reaction from Japanese Babymetal fans
Never been to your channel before, but you seem like a guy who would like clutch !
I have never seen over 100k views of a BM reaction, GJ!
Megitsune. The mv is fun. 😈. Near the end keep an eye on Su's microphone..
It's actually the same mic in the whole video. You only get the whole idea at the end why it looks like that. But the reaction to it is always worth it.
ANDOR - It’s actually Chekhov’s mic, so to speak ;)
Excellent decision to make a special weekly slot for our Queen Suzuka, Princesses Moa, Yui and their loyal Kamis🦊👌🎵🎵🎵🙌🙌🙌
is this a breakdown or solo,.??
well,..basically "Mischief of Metal Gods Intro" is a ritual performed by the god of guitar, bass & drum to summoned the Metal Queen Su-Metal. because in this song her human soul has been trapped in the recurring nightmare with no way to escaped.
BM backing band is known as the "Kami Band".
Kami means "Gods" in Japanese. In BM lore, the Kami band are gods of Metal sent by the Fox God to help BM unite all the peoples of the world as ONE. they dressed in white robes and corpse paint similiar to traditional Japanese burial.
the Kami Band in this show are :
- Leda Cygnus (1st guitar solo)
in the past usually play with 6 string, but now he's using 7 or 8 string.
- Takayoshi Ohmura (2nd guitar solo)
he's using 7 string guitar named "Golden Moon". but, last year during the extra show "BM Metal Galaxy World Tour in Japan", both him & Leda was using 9 string guitar (ESP E-II MF-9 BabyMetal).

This track is so much darker for a power ballad .she is dealing with a demon that wont leave so she calls out the entity to reveal oneself and learns to live with this burden.lyric up bruh.
I hope you can react to "Sis Anger" is another song that I like so much !! Thanks for making this reaction, I really liked your video
The arena they played here is the Budokan, in which you have to be invited to play there, as far as I understand. Yes, one might just have to resort to killing to be able to play there, and Tokyo dome and Wembley.
Since everyone is suggesting babymetal, i'm gonna suggest famous japanese drummers.

Nice reaction, you've done 2 of my recommendations which displayed most of the drummer capabilities, next you can do Akatsuki Budokan live
And btw Megitsune best if you do the MV version for the breakfown experience
the kami band is just beyond. another drummer to check is danny carey of tool the video pheuma is just filming danny on the drums for that song he is really underrated.
Megitsune has the breakdown you are wanting! :) Kitsune up! Do the official video. BTW . . .It's fun to watch somebody get really into one band for a while. Then move to the next and so on. You will gain subscribers throughout. Then on to Band Maid, then . . Maximum the Hormone . . and on and on . .so much gr8 music out there.
Keep up the fun reactions! Thank you. Subscribed :)
Next last baby metal PA PA YA !! pleassee
I’ll love to see your reaction to band maid, another Japanese band. Akane ,their drummer ,it’s so fun to watch in their live performances
absolutely amazing and wonderful song thanks for this reaction please more Babymetal 😍😍🤩🤩😍😍🤩😍🤩
No one's talking about the cinematic quality of your frame, the depth of field, the framing, I even feel like you're color grading your footage?
First second of the video I thought "wtf this doesn't look like your usual garbage reaction video lmao"
Eitherway it looks awesome!
Thanks man! I do color grade my image :))
If you do every Babymetal & Sakuragakuin video everday you will be done in 4 months. You gotta follow Su's progress from Karen Girls' when she was 11. Means much more. Oh yeah, Akatsuki & Amore please please please!
If You wanna hear Hideki brutal performance, You must watch DISTORTION live download 2018, doble kick sounds like a machine.
Nice reaction !
You need react to Sis. Anger or GJ! 🤘🏻
BABYMETAL songs are written without considering human performance. So it will be interesting for musicians.
I'm looking forward to the next video. 🌏🌍🌎🦊

Great reaction. You've still only scratched the surface with Babymetal. One suggestion though. The pauses. I'm totally fine with pausing, but please try to back it up a couple seconds and save the patreon speech for the beginning and/or end. That was WAY too long of a pause right in the middle. I know patreon is important, but not in the middle.
Patreon speech is never pleasant, believe me. You have a point, it IS too long.
I don’t mind the long pauses in the middle it may help with getting away from the copyrights. I would even suggest more pauses through out the song
Something you might like to check out is a Rock Band from Monterrey MX - The Warning (Now signed with Lava Records)
This impressive trio of sisters - Daniela 20 (guitar, piano and vocals), Paulina 18 (drums, piano and vocals), and Alejandra 15 (bass, piano and vocals), have elaborate musical affinities. Domination but they are all good.
noice reaction my friend
Thanks man!
The ONE reactor I thought would be paying attention to the drum solo happens to be only one to notice the hole center stage. Life is funny.
Frank D97E hahahaha
Don't think they do it now but in the early years they had about two songs each, two Su-metal solos and then the other girls Yui and Moa would do a couple songs of their own as a duet. This gave the girls a chance to have a little break and rest during the concerts
Su and Moa both had solo songs on the 2018 tour, but not since then.
Unfortunately Babymetal has kinda close atmosphere behind the stage. It will be very hard to find drum cam from babymetal show or from rehearsals.
Maybe from another projects
P.S
Rondo of Nightmare is a solo song for Su-Metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) Same as No Rain No Rainbow, Akatsuki, Amore
(I've added some links in a reply comment, I know TH-cam sometimes marks comments as spam if they have links)
Is Babymetal popular ?

This song has a distinctive rhythm, so tricky drums are great.
BABYMETAL's drum sounds have a strong presence and expressiveness, so it's exciting to hear them.
