      I'm sorry you've had to go through so many surgeries in such a small amount of time. Are you a candidate for a J Pouch maybe?

    Wow what an intense journey for both of you. If you can get through this entire ordeal and still love one another, you have an incredible connection.
    Every time I see thè stoma I get freakèd out. I don't know how you have dealt wìth it. It appears so painful. I really hope this is a closed gate as you continue on your path of wellness. Blessings to you Janice and the baby girl, and pups. Janice I have narcolepsy as well and I don't know how yours you know the symptoms are for you. But for me one of them is when I leave a commeant no c*** I've nodded sometimes 15 Times and it takes me sometimes a half an hour to leave a comment because once I have which I call a Nano sleep it's just like a split second all the words on the comment are just a bunch of symbols that make no sense. then I have to go and clean it all up. so This comment I'm leaving you I fell asleep 6 times, it sucks doesn't it Janice. I would love to know how does your narcolepsy show itself in your life?

    • @TheRawLife1

      Hello, thank you for commenting.
      So the stoma doesn't hurt or have any feelings at all. Part of the journey to deal with it for now lol

    • @TheRawLife1

      So for my Narcolepsy, it has greatly improved for me after pregnancy and better sleep habits. Obviously this is not the case for everyone. And I have had some VERY ROUGH times with it.
      For me the symptoms come on as extreme tiredness and even after sleeping for 10,12,15 hours straight I'm still exhausted. I also get cataplexy in my arms and legs sometimes.
      I can sleep from 8pm till 11am the next day and still be horribly tired.

    How many times did you have to change the bag during the prep? I would think it would be a lot.

    • @TheRawLife1

      So he uses one BIG bag for about 90%.
      It holds like 10 bags worth at a time, so he isn't going and constantly emptying.
      Then once he is closer to being done he puts on a regular bag.

    • @njjen3953

      @@TheRawLife1 I am sure you are both glad that is over with.

  • @maryreynolds5310

    Why do you change your bag after you dump? Or did you just do a change to a small one?

    • @TheRawLife1

      So Paul uses the big bag for the bulk of the emptying. When you see him changing out its cause 90% is done and he can manage with the smaller light bag for the rest.

    All we can do is hope for the best if/when we get a Stoma and hope for the best if/when it is reversed. Paul, I hope all goes well for you.

    Why does your wife change your bag for you.. why don't you do it yourself.. only asking as I'm curious ty

    • @TheRawLife1

      Due to my anatomy, and how my body is when I stand up vs laying down. If I do my bags while standing or sitting, the seal will not be good for more then a few hours.
      When I lay down its different and a more prefered time to put the bags on.
      It's not cause I can't. Or I'm lazy, it's just for the best possible outcome and to have the bag actually stay on for days at a time she has to do it.
      I've tried with my ostomy nurse and she even said it, thar it's just how my body is and the anatomy.
