I played through DD2 (too) many times, and can't get past Bakbattahl. I can usually get to Battahl, but can't get to the Dragon tower to defeat the "lesser Drake". even getting to Battahl is a challenge with so many opponents trying to kill you.
fun fact, his name is Grigori, which is a very common name in Russia, and it makes it so fun to me. the main antagonist, a huge ancient dragon, and his name is Grisha. god f*cking damn it. it's basically if his name was Sam.
If I'm not mistaken, Grigori are the angels known as the watchers in the apocryphal book of Enoch, which means he's basically calling himself an angel **SPOILERS** Considering how the dragons are created he's not entirely wrong.
There is a sorceress that had a tornado attack that really helped me in this fight, I kept her even though she is under level. She also has fireballs from the sky and earthquakes. I was able to climb to his chest and do good damage to the heart.

Has anyone actually taken the Dragons "bargain" and not fought him? I just finished this game and was playing as a Fighter, it took me a few times to defeat the Dragon because I had to attack him from the ground. I had two ranged fighters, an Archer and a Mage, but their attacks weren't strong enough to damage him, and they kept getting "killed". I tried using the Ballistas in the surrounding area, but he quickly destroys those with ranged attacks. I was forced to fight him up close and bring him to the ground so I could attack him heart and FELL him that way. Fortunately, I had the Griffin armour, and my Mage had healing powers to keep us in the fight.
Have any of you gotten a lot of anxiety right before you find out which love interest you get in the game? I always let out a huge sigh of relief when I get Aelinore or Mercedes. It would be cool to get Julien too, ngl
It's based on the last potential love interest you speak to. I was annoyed when I found out Julien was my love interest, and not the farm girl or warrior girl. But not annoyed enough to play through again just to redo the video

I'm sorry guys, I wanted to like the fight agents Grigori, I really did, but my god was he a huge pain in the ass, he moves WAY too much its hard to keep track on him, the one attack where he unleashes a Dark Area that deals constant damage was MASSIVE annoying, and the prosses of climbing up to Grigori to hit his weak points (while a creative and awesome concept) was such a chore and boring, and that's not to mention the one bridge segment was also a hugmongusrt pain in the ass due to how the dragon can cheap-shot ya as well and just....this fight was such a pain.

I have so many questions. How does this guy have 4K health and the stamina of an Arabian horse? And how come he hits him with the ballista and takes away like 4 notches of his health. He just laughs at me and blows it up. 🤦
You get a cutscene where the Arisen becomes the Duke, repeating the events of the previous Duke Edmund who sacrificed his lover the same way. After the cutscene the game just goes to a retry screen and continuing loads you back to before you opened the door to the dragon.
When doing the flying phase I get up to the heart but it seems all I can do is light attack and I can’t seem to do enough damage before getting tossed. Playing on ps5 any advice would help.

i was so over leveled for that fight and i believe he got glitched so he never did anything new just the same moves over and over

Nah mate. I played that shit on hardmode the very first time and he kept oneshotting all my pawns making it a 1v1 basically
On hard mode he pretty much one shots you with every attack
I can agree having just played on normal that he could be a little more threatening but just the conflict and the visuals are A+

Bring conquers Pertaiphs or demons if u aren’t doing enough damage
When I thought I was close enough I was still too far back. You actually need to climb up past it a bit and the it should work.
