VeloSoleX 660, 1956 - Motorcycle Review

Dating from the early 1940s, the VeloSoleX is a motorised bicycle with a 2-stroke engine driving the front tyre via a contact roller.
The VeloSoleX 660, featured in this film, dates from 1956 and has a 49cc engine with 24" diameter wheels. This model was introduced in Autumn 1955 and over 200,000 were made in 1956 alone.

Next subject will probably be a 1958 Triumph Thunderbird, with a Matchless twin after that. We'll hopefully get the next film completed by mid April at the very latest. So glad you enjoy the films!

Keep watching! A couple of 1950s British twin cylinder bikes are lined up for two films to be made soon. We've also done some work for a Honda PC50(!) film and are hoping to get hold of a 1920s Royal Enfield and sidecar when the weather improves.
