This is so different from 6 Flags Magic Mountain in L.A. Here it is hilly and dry cause the trees were cut 40 years ago. In Louisiana it looks creepy with the green growing around it, very spooky.
SMH really don’t need more fields when the ones in city park is not being used but my question is what makes the land and location so good now after 19 years and nothing but takes now action I wish they give it back to the wild life
I will never get to ride Mega Zeph or anything that Jazzland/ Six Flags New Orleans had but In the very least save the Mega Zeph but the odds of that happening are extremely low.. tbh I would rather Jazzland Paidia own SF:NO than Bayou Phoenix.. you can get baseball fields, soccer fields, anything like that anywhere, overall this is massive letdown but that's just me
This plot of land was meant to have the amusement park not this big Phoenix plan what even is that it looks awful I’m so surprised they weren’t able to salvage some of the structures and coasters. People want roller coasters and fun. Nothing about this seems right. Should have rebuilt the park.
The Batman clone that was at this park did get saved it is at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Renamed to Goliath when installed and this year renamed again to Chupacabra
I'm sad I'll never get to ride Mega Zeph. I'm convinced it would be a top 5 maybe even top 3 woodie for me.
This hurts but very understandable
I’m so old I remember them putting up the “closed for storm” sign
I'm still remembering pontatrain beach.😢
And they never built no condo buildings after they closed Pontatrain Beach Amusement Park for that!
Thats sad, its hung on for a long time.

Same year that Six Flags AstroWorld Closed it's door on October 30th 2005...
This is sad how the Six Flags park in New Orleans closed in 2005 even tho, I never been to that Six Flags park.
On a sunny day, it's still good to look at but on a cloudy day, it resembles Chernobyl..
Save and Referbish the Mega Zephyr Rollercoaster the city needs it,,, Please

So they're or whoever is rebuilding Jazzland/Six Flags New Orleans?
They aren’t building a new park on that land.
It’s a cursed land
