- hello! I will probably make a sequel to this video at some point, because I'm currently playing through ISAT for a third time, and this time I'm gonna focus more on the little details and interactions to see if I can find more cool things! I already have some ideas on what I'd want to put in the next one. Anyway, onto the credits! Thank you to:
The In Stars and Time script project: felicitations....
Slobfern: • siffrin forgets someth...
Mis: • (SPOILERS FOR IN STARS...
and everyone who voted on my poll!
Additionally, I used this website to make the textboxes shown at the beginning and end of my video! kongkrog.githu...
I hope you enjoyed this!
I got Bonnie's event in the loop right after starting Act 4. Scared the hell out of me and I thought for sure it was scripted to happen then.
I think it's maybe a one in five chance to happen after Act 4 starts but I'm not sure. I know it's not guaranteed to happen because I didn't get it on any of my playthroughs.
Same lol
That happened for me too, what a weird coincidence. Though, I suppose it was bound to happen to some people given how it’s only a 1 in 5 chance.
Same.
I thought because Siffrin was going insane or maybe this time It didn't Loop properly and Bonnie remembered.
@@ivorywizard I've had that last one happen to me. It's not random, it's actually based on a previous loop.
MAJOR Spoiler Warning

If you try to befriend the king, and try to resolve things without fighting, he figures out you're in a time loop and that as long as you are in it he can never win.
So he freezes your body, grabs Bonnie, and crushes them in front of you. All while Siffrin is trying to force himself to loop back to prevent them from getting hurt. He knows that even though everything will go back to normal, and his cruelty will be undone, the memory of those actions would haunt you enough to strike fear back into your heart of him.
Siffren watches Bonnie die. And that last scene is him remembering what the king did. How they died screaming reaching out for Siffren to help them, but he couldn't. He couldn't save them, he couldn't protect them, they died because he trusted the king, understood why he was doing what he was doing, wanted to try to coexist with him because they are both from the same country, one lost to memory and wiped from history. And that trust got Bonnie killed. And Siffren knows it.
.
For me it happened IMMEDIATELY after that scene played out, but it may be a 1 in 5 chance after you witness the scene described above. And I simply got lucky.
The loop event is fucking fascinating, especially after two hats
Great video, i really like how the siffrin forgetting everyone's names thing connecte to the prologue, and also, for me, when i hit quite on the first loop, after being crushed, i think it said "there is no escape" and looped back, instead of keeping me on the menu.
@@joshuaschwartz7840 Yeah, i remember in my second playthrough, it looped me back whenever I got that encounter, but I wasn't able to replicate it for this video. I also saw someone else saying that that dialogue said "back to the stage" when you do it in act 4, so I think there are multiple variations of this event.
what.........................
@@lasagna3289 there's a prologue to In Stars and Time.
Before I got the Bonnie interaction I was reassuring myself that I had no reason to feel on edge while playing, that the game wasn't a horror game, that there weren't any jumpscares or things to scare you in it. I then talked to Bonnie and got this and I jumped so hard.
I got that right after the loop where Bonnie said they hated Siff during the "What do we do with the party's corpses" conversation 😭
@ OH NOOO
Another thing about the “quit” button
MIGHT be a possible spoiler so spacing this out
Once you reach act 4, the text when you try to select QUIT changes to either “(YOU CANNOT ESCAPE.)” or “(GET BACK TO THE STAGE.)”
this game just keeps hurting when you least expect it, man :)
i think it starts saying "GET BACK TO THE STAGE" only after you've done the "dagger method"
@@nubbdzE No, Siffrin just really likes plays, so he starts doing that regardless. I went through the entire game not knowing about the dagger method and I still got that sometimes.
@LoreCatan i see
Guys. We don’t talk about the dagger method.
Given loop's role overall especially throughout the game till the very end, i appreciate him bailing out sif with the names lol
Well… they can relate to each other with that problem.
I can't believe i know all of this?! Anyway good video!!! And also, if you try to use the "quit" button in act 4 the text will say "get back to the stage" i think its a cool thing to know
That is cool to know thank you
OH the act 4 thing is really cool! I did not know that, thanks for telling me!
@@ivorywizard you're welcome!
Dang I never got the Loop call dialogue, good of them to be gentle with Siffrin that time
It's like Loop knew this might happen...
Very relatable problem..
another thing ive seen people miss is the more casual instances of Sif's mask cracking in act 4 such as having the opinion to call the people of Dormont cowards to the face of the woman that is planning a feast (no clue how shes called)
Antoine or something similar?.. I’m not exactly familiar with French name spellings.
WH. I’m surprised I’ve never seen the "QUIT" option before?? That’s so easy to get??? Neat stuff! Thanks for showing these off :D
@@VVToonZ you're welcome!!
The Head Housemaiden dialogue was the only part I didn't know, but MAN that revelation on her part hits like a truck.
(Also, hooray, I finally get to comment on these fun videos! Thanks for turning these on!)
also, if you press the "quit" button on your first death it instantly loops you back
@@TheMoonLightGuyHimself nice!!
The Bonnie event has a 1/5 chance to happen after *completing Kingquest*, so can technically happen in Act 3 if you do Kingquest before the friendquests
The random event with Bonnie in act 4 happened when i played the game, but in a more interesting way. Basically, I was expecting the game to scare me with something once i was gonna talk to Bonnie, but nothing happened, but when I talked to them again THEN it happened (it was 3 am that scared the life out of me)
I got the event in my act 5
1:43 This scene reminds me of the bathroom scene where Siffrin forgets Odile's name
i love that call with Loop, i was really surprised when i found out it's a random chance thing??? I was calling them constantly bc I love how they talk so I def got 10 Loop calls by then haha
the last one actually jumpscared me. i dont think i got it in game, but the led lights i have up in my room cycled to red right as it showed up in the video and scared the hell out of me
SPOILERS FOR THE TWO HATS EVENT
i think the quit option represents what loop did they "gave up" on their wish and what siffrin was about to do against mal du pays before mirabelle saved him
@@niczic123 oh thats a cool theory!!
Yeah, there’s this weird implication that Sif actually *could’ve* completely stopped any time he wanted. Like, nothing was *actually* forcing him to keep looping. But, well.. he just wouldn’t.
…I can kind of relate, as a master of repeatedly watching let’s plays and reactions of the exact same things until I get completely sick of them and even after that and barely starting anything new.
3:55 Happens after you try to make peace with the king.
And for good reason.
@@sosku1070 I think its a random chance, I didn't get it during any of my playthroughs.
@ivorywizard happens after king kills Bonnie, but it's also random chance
I thought the bonnie thing happends because of the king encounter before.
A sort of sign of Siffrin's trauma, it happend straight after that for me.
@@jorgovandenbrande9200 Its not guaranteed to happen, but I think it's associated with that event.
Giving Mirabelle the fan mail for the second time is my favourite interaction in the game, perfectly horrifying
omg yeah i LOVE that interaction
oh woah, the bonnie one freaked me out a little! that’s so cool! and weird.
I finished the game in 86 loops (I think? That’s what the game says but also the numbers started skipping around) so I missed a lot but AUUGGHHHH THE LOOP EVENT. HELP. WAUGHH.
the bonnie thing happened to me on my first playthrough and it scared me so bad omfg
I played the game twice, the second to get all the achievements. It was the second time that I got that last encounter, was caught so off guard
One of the little moments I like is when you actually catch a fish.
I talked to housemaiden only 5 times (not because of achivment, it just happened for some reason {ok maybe a little because of Isebau}) so thank you for sharing that one!
If the Bonnie one happened to me that would've capital S Scared me
That actually happened to me right after the loop where Bonnie got hurt. So I thought it was normal.
@@MillyKKitty it can only happen after that loop, but it's random
dude the bonnie event is the only thing that genuinely freaked the fuck out of me, mostly because I got it right after the king killed them and it was kinda late in the night
bro I was fucking DONE
1:23 I actually encountered this like 2 or 3 times
isn't the bonnie thing happening related to the king... y'know? with his bare hand?
I've played the game twice, and it never happened to me, so I think it might be a one in five chance to happen after... the King incident?
it is related - as in it only happens after act 4(aka after the king kills bonnie). I got it the first time i talked to bonnie after their death, and other people have too, but ive watched some playthrough where they didn't get it, so it IS actually a random chance throughout act 4.
Thanks! 🙏 this is so helpful ❤❤
Plus the last one gave me chills
I did miss a few of those, unlike that rock which didn't miss Siffrin at all.
I got the Bonnie one after 1 achieve the end, while I was going for the 100%. I screamed.
I actually got all of these events lol
Coolio
I swear i got the call loop one without ever calling loop. it might just be me misremembering but it might just be talking to loop in general
@@yoshistarhunter Are you sure? because in that event, you use the call loop hand sign to call and ask them what the names of your party members are , so it wouldn't make sense for that to happen without you ever using it.
@@ivorywizard i used it once or twice but definetly not more than 2 times the whole playthrough
@@yoshistarhunter Huh.
The Head Housemaiden dialogue makes it seem like you didn't talk to your party. Do you have to skip them and talk straight to her?
@@tal4726 Yes, you have to try talking to her before you talk to your party. I think you have to try talking to her before you talk to your party twice every loop for five loops in order to get that dialogue.
@@ivorywizard Man that is a crazy requirement. I never would have tried that on my own wow. We need a new achievement for every Euphrasie dialogue lol.
@@tal4726 Yeah, there are so many little details and stuff in this game, it's so cool!
@@tal4726 Actually, I was wrong, you only have to talk to her once. You get new dialogue for her every loop, as Siffrin gets more desperate for her to say something new. Here's the website I got this information from. felicitations.neocities.org/rooms/end/euphrasie
The Bonnie jumpscare happened to me after I had been softlocked in a save after using a dagger at a bad time and having to reload, it was late at night and I was very tired and barely paying attention and it scared the living shit out of me.
