30lbs for a carbon medium size top spec 120mm bike? Am I missing something? Jokers

I agree it is heavy, but so is my Tallboy 4 about 30lbs. You don't feel it though when riding. All the new trail bikes at this 120mm of travel are heavy now, sans maybe the Ripley. I think they are purposely "overbuilding" them so they avoid warranty claims. A 120mm bike should be maybe 27lbs at the heaviest IMO.

After my warranty experience with a 130, never again yeti. ✌🏻

Beautiful. Looks amazing, and from the sound of your excitement doing the live ride it bombs along the trail at pace too.
Makes me wish I held out for the 120 over my sb115......almost 😏❤

    Guy,
What is the max tire size you can fit in the back? Are those stock rims able to handle a 2.6 tire? In you're honest opinion, if you had to choose between this bike, the Pivot Trail 429, the Santa Cruz Tallboy, or the ibis Ripley, which one would you take?(I realize you have not tried the new Tallboy 5 yet or the Trail 429?) My trails are tight and technical, with some open stretches here in the Hudson Valley of NY and NJ.

Is it true that the frame warranty now transfers to second owners?

how does the SB-120 compare to an ibis ripley?

    • @TRISHYXX

ibis ripley beats out yeti for value any day of the weak, and Ripley is widely loved already for being maybe the best short travel bike around. If you got the money to use on the yeti try it out.

Got the max tire size, 2.6 F/R. 30mm internal width DT rims.

Well done for finding that out Gregory, I haven' had a reply yet. My gut feeling is that the SB-120 will sit right between the Ripley and TB in terms of ride feel. Having been much more impressed with the new Hightower than I expected though I'm very keen to try the TB5. Hopefully picking it up later this week so I'll let you know how that goes ASAP

@@GuyKesTV Thanks so much for your incredible reviews. I always go by your opinions when buying a bike. I always like to upgrade my bikes every 3 yrs., so they don't lose too much value....plus it's always nice to have a new ride, although the cost in the last two years has skyrocketed dramatically!
