  • In todays video we delve in the most popular township in the world - SOWETO South Africa. We get to see the ínfamous villakazi street where Nelson Mandela and Desmond tutu resided. It indeed was a pleasant day here in the land of Madiba. Let me know your thoughts below in the comment section

In Kenya we learnt in primary school history of South Africa. I remember Steve Biko, Soweto uprising, British Zulu war, the great trekk, the Transvaal war, sobukwe, luthuli, sisulu, Mandela, tutu the bishop that encouraged peaceful protest and rallied the world against apartheid regime.

Tutu and Mandela were freedom fighters. They stood up for what they believed in. Much more than Noble prize winners.

Hi Kish, We don't have free health care in Europe (people pay a high insurance every month, in our country we pay arround 175/200 euro each month) even if you don't go to the hospital or doctor. Also we pay high taxes for extra medical help/assistance. Taxes also go to infrastructure greenery and more.

Soweto is very big. Even some of the people do not know some of the locations here. But when you were truly born here you'll be keen to know your place before you could know anything. The Soweto of now is not the Soweto of yesterday. That's why things like shacks was found in minor places like orlando west and kliptown and also the one whom a tycoon called Mr. Shabalala the first wealthiest man in Soweto who came from Rockville . Where Rockville and Dube were like Suburbs in the sixties and seventies in those days. So history of Soweto and South Africa must be told as it by the ones who know that history .For there's lot that's not told and the people who fought for the struggle of South Africa. There are many prominent people who played the role but being forgotten. So thank you for you said the truth that those who know the history should be the one to tell.

Kish, Chris Hani is the 3rd largest hospital in the world. It was once the largest.
A township is basically an area which was previously designated for black/colored or Indian people. So the level of development in these areas is between urban and rural.

Archibishop Desmond Tutu was world known Political Activist, Freedom Fighter, Struggle Liberator, he did all that from the pulpit. Embarrassing that our own people cannot tell you that! Sowetans are people bestowed with pride. Those houses were built by hard working people...even before liberation. Please do your research before putting out false information.
