Rex was the Commander of The 501st. The Clone Unit that served with Anakin and Ashoka. He was a new character in The Clone Wars cartoon. He and Ashoka were at the Seige of Mandolore at the same time as Revenge of The Sith, which is the storyline created to tell why neither is in the movie. Obi-wans counterpart to Rex is Commander Cody who we see called by name in ROTS when he shoots at Obi-Wan with a canon shortly after giving him back his lightsaber when Order 66 is called for. Rex is in Rebels, and is said at the end of Rebels to be a white haired, bearded commando we see with Han, Luke, and Leia on Endor.
Yea but what did it mean in the meantime when they where in clone wars it was old ahsoka right and that anankin was the same anakin as in the fight before right they both where in these memories at that moment
I straight up got chills. Teared up a few times this episode. Hayden is so damn good, he stole and ate up every scene he was in. Happy he’s finally getting the respect and praise he deserves. By far the best episode of the series.
Now hopefully star wars fans will stop bullying actors because they disliked the performance or character. Its what star wars fans are best at unfortunately
Steven, a fun fact .... Ariana Greenblatt who played young Ahsoka in this episode also played young Gamora in "Avengers: Infinity War. She has also played young Velma Dinkley in "Scoob!" Sasha in "Barbie", Koa in "65", and Daphne Diaz in the Disney Channel series "Stuck in the Middle".
Anakin didn't mastered the light at all, he was pretty much groomed and brainwashed by Palpatin since the very beginning. Anakin tipped the balance toward the dark side and made it rule the entire galaxy. That's no balance at all.
I really love the parallels to Luke in ROTJ, when Luke told Vader, I won’t fight you, here it’s Ahsoka saying the same thing and Anakin responding with I heard that before. Also, when Luke got the upper hand and instead of finishing off Vader he threw away the light saber, Ahsoka did the same thing.
Pretty sure that's what Anakin meant when he said "I've heard that before." Which, to me, means that this IS Anakin - post RotJ, and not just in Ahsoka's mind. I mean, Luke could have told her that but that feels like something that makes more sense if it was actually Anakin and genuinely was completing her training by teaching her to let go of her fear of turning into him, and like how Vader told Obi Wan that his turn wasn't his fault it was helping her let go of her guilt.
In my head I thought Anakin reminisced about rebels when ahsoka fought Darth Vader, she said something about not wanting to fight him correct me if I'm wrong.
One thing I noticed was Ahsoka's "attitude" upon returning. She smiled, she seemed more at peace with herself. I think she blamed herself over Anakin's fate, she (in her mind) abandoned him and she felt guilty. This entire "lesson" was to show her that no she wasn't responsible for his decisions ,he was, he was the teacher, he failed to resist the call of the dark side. And this allowed her to forgive herself and remove that guilt blocking her from that. To prove that she wasn't going to succumb to the lure of the dark side.
They should've dubbed Ashley's voice over young Ahsoka, who looked really weird too, no cosplayer has ever nailed young, skinny Ahsoka, why you don't do that in live action without CGI.
From someone who saw the original Clone Wars movie in theaters at 7 years old and is now a 21 year old working towards my degree Ahsoka is such a special character. She quite literally grew up with me. I grew up right alongside her while her story has been told. This episode made me feel seen as a fan. Part of the reason Star Wars is so special is because no matter where you got started you have an incredible universe to explore and stories to enjoy. I cant wait to see what characters my own kids get to grow up with while introducing them to the ones we already know and love 💜
I’m in the same boat except I didn’t finish the clone wars series until a few years ago. I remembered hating Ashoka bc I thought that only Jedi masters could have padawans until I found out that wasn’t true. Her character has grown on me
This was such a special and emotional episode, and Hayden's saber skills are still FANTASTIC! Kudos to Ariana for her spot on portrayal of young Ahsoka, and undying gratitude to Dave for capturing this unique relationship (and the bigger, poetic picture) in such a perfect way! Love this show and it's entire crew with my whole heart! Great reactions, as always!
What are you talking about his skills are fantastic? How would we know considering how woeful Ashoka’s were. I could swing a broomstick around and look better.
The world between worlds is not strictly defined yet. Everytime we've gone there its never truely been said if this is real or its all in your head. But like Dumbledore said to Harry. "Is this any less real?" It is a place between time and space, but some could also say so is your mind. Whether there are truly there, or this was all in her head. I believe is purposefully left vague, so it is open to interpretation. I tend to see it as both, but depending on what you need it to be. For Ezra and Ashoka in Rebels, it was a physical place. Here maybe less so, but "Does that make it any less real?"
Huyang was such a mood at the beginning of this episode. The Clone Wars flashbacks interspersed with the duels were awesome! As were the purgil at the end and Jacen helping. Kanin would be so proud. That I won’t fight you exchange hit right in the feels. It was Luke that said it to him. And she embodied Luke at the end there.
This really puts into context how young Ahsoka really was during the Clone Wars. I mean, I knew she was 14 when she became Anakin's apprentice but...wow, she was young. No wonder this stuff was getting in the way of her development, she was literally raised as a child soldier. As far as The World Between Worlds goes, I think it can easily be interpreted as either "it was all in her mind as she was dying," or Anakin pulled her there, then sent her back into the water when he was done teaching her. Either way seems correct to me and so it doesn't really matter.
The Cold, Calculating and Calmly Spoken, “Incorrect” and “You Lack Conviction” from Vader in this episode, might as well have come from a chest-mounted vocabulator because it gave me the same chills and coming from helmeted, black armor
Pretty sure that it was the actual World Between Worlds since Jacen (and eventually Hera) could "hear" Ahsoka and Anakin's lightsaber duel. Also I'm thinking that Ezra would end up being Jacen's Jedi mentor/master since it would complete the circle from Kanen being Ezra's Jedi Master.
How can he hear a duel in what is basically a different dimension though? Force users can essentially read thoughts and emotions so doesn't it make more sense he could sense her thoughts as she was nearly dying and having a 'life flashing before her eyes' moment?
@@mrcheese5383 Not only that, but Ezra used it to time travel in Rebels, the way I see it it’s both The Afterlife and a Time Machine helping someone like Ahsoka deal with unresolved issues. Also, in Rebels we see it as a place that transcends Time itself, and not just an Afterlife pocket Dimension space in that sense.
@@yetibeardson1168 Another big hint that this whole thing is taking place in the WBW is Anakin's flippant reply to Ahsoka when she says that she won't fight him. He says, "I've heard that before" which is a direct reference to when his son Luke said a similar thing to him in RotJ. If this was all in Ahsoka's mind, I doubt that she would have known of this beforehand.
Jacen heard the saber fight. It was real. Also, Anakin mentioning "I heard that before" on Ahsoka saying "I won't fight you, is a clear reference to Luke saying it, And Ahsoka was never witness to that either.
The little Ahsoka actress has been in some big roles in the past 4 years. She’s the next big thing in acting for sure. She knocks it outta the park everytime. What a talent
Seeing Ahsoka finally get the closure and acceptance she needed to move past the legacy of Anakin was so phenomenal. Her demeanor this whole series and even in Mandalorian refusing to train Grogu spoke to how much Anakin's turning affected her. Her fear of what happened to Anakin and what that meant for her legacy has driven her, not her desire to save Ezra or her care for her friends. This was really exemplified in her transformation after speaking to Anakin, her joy and peace in every moment felt so beautiful to see. "You're more than that because I'm more than that" really spoke to both Ahsoka's perception of Anakin as well as our own, and felt like such a ceremonious message for such a beloved Star Wars character.
would Jacen have heard the light sabers if it was all in her head? And what about her body not being detectable until she appeared in the water in her vision? I think the lack of doorways makes it unclear, but she was someplace else for a little while. That shot of him walking away in the dust and transitioning briefly to Vader came me the most chills.
I mean, would Jacen have heard it in if she was in the World Between Worlds either? Like, it's supposed to be a separate plane of existence connected to the "real" world right? So either way it's wild he heard it. As for her body not being detectable, it could be that while they were scanning she was technically dead or her heart maybe stopped and the near death experience was seeing Anakin and reliving Clone Wars moments. After all, your life supposedly flashes before your eyes as one is dying right?
@@ben1ben2ben1 Possibly, but also Ahsoka at this point has spent some time with Luke and very well could have had some conversations about his experience with Vader/Anakin.
When Ahsoka refused to kill Vader, she made the same choice as Luke did on DS2. Both threw away the weapon they were using and chose life over death. In those moments, both Luke and Ahsoka passed their Trial and were finally truly Jedi. Ahsoka the Grey has become Ahsoka the White!!!
My thoughts on the scene with Ahsoka and Anakin was that the point of the lesson is that Ahsoka needed to stop second huessing her path and decisions. I saw someone else talk about this and i think i agree. Ahsoka has been doubting herself since she left the Jedi and doubting where she belonged and restraining from getting too involved and in a way that is her failure. Anakins actions were not always the best and he made mistakes too, but he also made a choice and stuck with it. Even while having regrets he still saw it through to the end. He had been quite proactive where Ahsoka has been more reactive or reserved and o think the point he was putting on her is that she needed to make a choice and commit to it and not constently doubt or withdraw from those choices.
I love that ahsoka goes imto the wbw as ahsoka the grey she is stoic she feels guilty and blames herself for anakins fall but while she is in there she learns that he was destined to fall no matter what and that it wasnt her fault allowing her to let go and find peace then come out of the wbw as ahsoka the white and is more upbeat and more like the ahsoka we know and love.
What I find interesting is Anakin finally obtained the power to save people he cared about from dying. And the line, “You’re never too old to learn Snips.” Anakin learning that the Jedi Order’a too old policy was flawed. And him hearing that before was a nice call back to when Luke said he won’t fight him in Episode 6.
Live action Clone Wars really highlights how brutal the Clone Wars was. Yes Umbara, Mandalore were all intense in animation, but real effects just elevate it that much more.
What if Anakin has now become something like The Father on Mortis since his death, him being the chosen one could mean that he is more than just a "normal" force ghost at this point and could likely mean he could have access to the world between worlds. Maybe he pulled a part of Ahsoka into there to finish her training so it would and wouldn't be in her head. Not sure how all that would work exactly, kinda just piecing together an idea from the few things I remember and a few things I've seen others throwing around.
He was supposed to take over The Father's duties during the clone wars, but I don't think this is it. He may be closer to The Son, since he manifested his "dark side" in the vision.
@@Thiago_Alves_SouzaHe manifested as a regular ghost first then the dark came out. Nothing about him screamed light side avatar, thats what Ahsoka became.
@@Thiago_Alves_SouzaNo bro, what I am saying is him being his regular self doesn't exactly make him a light side avatar. He is not at peace in those visions but in war.
When I first watched this episode last night, my jaw dropped when I saw Anakin and Ahsoka in their Clone Wars uniforms as well as seeing Captain Rex for a little. This episode is one of the most memorable episodes ever made in this show! Thank you Filoni, Lucasfilm, and Disney! 😊❤️
17:27 Ashoka facing Darth Vader. Remember how the lightsaber battles in ESB and ROTJ felt so good because there was emotional *weight* to them... that's what this feels like. It's not flashy fighting for the sake, there's story to be told through the fights - and the choosing *not* to fight, as Luke did.
I think what Dave did in ep.5 is amazing for fans who are familiar to the clone wars animation and non-familiar fans. That Anakin and Ashoka interactions can be interpreted as Ashoka actually in the world between worlds being taught the lesson she needs from her master who is light and dark and back to light, but, also, it can be interpreted as primal instinct of any intelligent being who is trying to survive through working through subconsious mind through her memories .(which were all actual events from clone wars) Dave is amazing!!!
There's a lot to discuss about this episode but the purrgil scene at the end made me really emotional. It gave me that feeling of wonder I had when I watched the original series for the first time as a kid in the early 90's on LaserDisc. If I was a kid seeing space whales go into hyperspace, I would have lost my damn mind. Dave Filoni is really damn good at creating storytelling that gets to the core of why people fell in love with the Star Wars franchise in the first place.
The first flashback took place during the Battle of Ryloth, which was covered on the _Clone Wars_ show, although that specific scene wasn't. You can see a couple of Twi'leks talking with Rex and Anakin during the scene. The second one was the final arc of _The Clone Wars,_ during the beginning of the Invasion of Mandalore most likely. So both battles were in the show, but not those exact scenes. Ariana Greenblatt, the actress they got for young Ahsoka, did a fantastic job of mixing Clone Wars Ahsoka with the mature Ahsoka from _Rebels_ and the Mandoverse.
Ezra teaching the son of the Jedi that trained him. That connection. The conversation. The flashback potential. Can’t wait if that’s where we’re headed.❤
@@NikkiStevenReact obviously this could happen which would be bad. I think that’s the beauty of what Dave is setting up. We are going to travel between galaxies, leaving our current galaxy and all its future entanglements behind. All these characters that we’ve been introduced to within these last whatever years since Mando’s debut. They can all live on in new exciting experiences outside this current Star Wars galaxy. It’s all super exciting as a fan of Star Wars.
@@NikkiStevenReact It could happen, but Filoni is very much George's apprentice and believes in the poetry of Star Wars; hence Ezra will be the one to train his master's son.
21:29 it’s funny when I first saw this scene one other scene popped in my head from Episode 3 when Yoda told Obi-Wan to not look at the security recordings that all he’d find is hurt. They did do an awesome job with young Ahsoka. She’s the same actress that played young Gamora in Infinity Wars and she also played in the new Barbie movie.
I think the world between worlds is accessed in two different ways. One through the murals like in rebels which opens access to the doors, and this other way through the force which has no doors. Ezra went there through the force when be collected his lightsaber crystal and spoke with Yoda. It's force ghost Anikin.
After seeing Ahsoka having a moment of catharsis with her master, and letting go of her guilt and pain to more fully embrace the Light Side, Rosario Dawson now truly has become the Ahsoka we remember from Clone Wars! I loved how this episode showed the more of the fact that Ahsoka was sadly both a Jedi AND a child soldier. What’s more is that while while the Jedi were taught to not form attachments to people, she and her master clearly cared for not just their men but their friends and family. And while Anakin failed and fell to the Dark Side because he couldn’t let go of those he loved, Ahsoka succeeded and not only learned to let go and move on, she has now risen and has now become tied with Luke Skywalker for me as the greatest Jedi of life time. This is also easily the best performance Hayden has ever given as Anakin, he actually felt more like Anakin from the Clone Wars than the movies. I honestly never thought I would see LIVE ACTION scenes of Clone Wars, or even Hayden in Anakin’s Clone Wars armor!
I loved her in clone wars, to see a live action young her, especially during the siege of Mandalor is just pure perfection. The young actress did AMAZING.
I'm going to be honest....this is the best episode we have so much. also little ahsoka in her early days of the clone wars is so adoreable!!!!! Also Hayden in Anakin's clone wars armor was amazing! But the fight between Anakin and Ahsoka here was so awesome! Also Jacen (hope I spelled that right) is so adorable! Great reaction! Can't wait for more!
@@brandondetroitfanmichaels4325 I personally had no idea until all my friends went, "Young Gamora!" and I was like "yeah... of course... I knew that too..." haha.
that was force ghost anakin basically communicating with ahsoka while she's in a near death state. he wasn't just her imagination, he was actually there interacting with her.
I think it's possible. And doesn't bother me if that's the case. However personally I kind of like the idea that it was all in her head more just because it becomes a literal battle of ones emotions, just using Anakin as the figurative as well as literal personification of her unresolved trauma. Either way, one of the best Star Wars things in awhile by far.
Can’t wait for episode 6 see Sabine’s elation & the smiles wiping from the bad guys faces as the puurgll appear the big one opening its mouth and Ahsoka’s ship speeding out like "SURPRISE!"
It’s definitely the real world between worlds. Whether that was the force, the daughter, or Anakin guiding her might be open to interpretation though. My interpretation is that it was Anakin who after his episode 6 redemption is now properly taking the Father’s place because he’s the chosen one.
For CW. I don't think they were duplicating scenes, but it was kind of a compilation that captured the essence of a few different arcs in early CW. Similar to the Mandalore section. The siege of Mandalore is in CW, give a watch to the last 4-8 eps of CW for Ahsokas post Jedi journey.
Episode really drove home how young Anakin and especially Ashoka were during the Clone Wars. She was 14 during her first mission and Anakin 19. They had several years of just trauma. When she tells Anakin she won’t fight him and he replied “I’ve heard that before”, was a reference to Luke. His lesson was reminding her that he taught her never to give up, but that she isn’t him and won’t make the same mistakes he did by joining the darkside. Hence you see her go from dark clothing to light when she comes to. He also reminds her that she came from a Jedi line of Anakin, Obi, Qui Gon, Dooku, and Yoda. Jedi that challenged the status quo but we’re strong in their convictions. As far as the flashbacks they were actual live versions of the animated show. First one was her first mission. Last one was her fighting on Mandalore after leaving the Jedi order and helping the 601st before Order 66. Her attachment to the clones basically are her family. She spent 3 years fighting with them. So much so that the Battle for Mandalore the 501st pint their helmets orange and white in honor of Ashoka leading them again.
Hey! New to the channel but a fun little easter egg in this show when Ashoka is fighting Anakin for a moment her eyes are also sith eyes showing shes also not afraid to embrace the darkness but her reasonings for embracing it are different then his, she embraces the darkness that she can't save everyone even if she grew stronger (at least thats my take on it) but she also balances it with light, she does care and have attachments but she also knows when to let them go.
The flashback scene with young Snips reminded me so much of the scene in Avengers Infinity War when we saw young Gamora inside the soul stone. The whole sequence in the world between worlds was nothing less than astounding. Hayden Christensen deserves to be in more projects.
Hayden knocked it out of the park with this one. From capturing Lanter's performance of Anakin in Clone Wars, down to switching to Vader the second that red saber ignites. "Live, or die." "No!" "Incorrect."
14:27 - 15:15 Clone Wars is PEAK Star Wars animated content, it's truly EPIC. The amount of lore they covered in that series is really crazy, but also awesome. It's an incredible series, I HIGHLY recommend you check out the full series. It explains A LOT about what REALLY happened, before Anakin turned to the dark side.
There is a concept in fanfic, "Suitless Vader", where, for whatever plot point the fic has, Anakin doesn't get burned and injured. This episode? made than canon, even if it was a WBW near-death vision. Also, just because it was a vision doesn't mean it didn't happen. It happened, in the Force, and it was really Anakin, because that is what Ahsoka needed.
The girl playing teen Ahsoka is kid Gamora from Infinity War, Ariana Greenblatt. She's 16 now, and I think she had just the right face shape for a direct translation of the animated CW Ahsoka. Also, it is totally Tem's voice in Rex.
My feels - I have not watched "The Clone Wars", but for the last few months I have been deep-diving into the fanfic fandom and while I was aware that Clone wars existed, it was not really my Star Wars (I am an OT girl, I was old enough to understand movies to see RotJ in cinemas the first time), but I feel my recent attention to CW content has given me an outline of how awesome the series was, and I have watched various clip vids here on YT, so being able to see it in live action is still very much a happy thing, and I undetsand how the relationship between Anakin and Ahsoka is such a SW mainstay now, so some really good scenes of them together LA is a treat that makes me happy. I am wondering what the effect this will have on fanfic will be. I already know one person on my fanfic discord group (it's home to a circle of writers whose works I read) was very "Live Action Suitless Vader!".
"There's something about the water." I think that the ocean Was the portal to the WBW. The Loth Wolves took the ghost crew to the other side of Lothal by going through the ground into a starscape that looked like the WBW. Places like Lothal, Seatos, or even maybe Dagoba are probably incredibly tuned to the cosmic force. The jedi temple portal in Rebels could have been an easier access point for the average force user
If you think about it, she was in a inside conflict with Anakin aka Vader, she was in fear of facing him having doubts of herself having the strength to even kill him. Both sides of him help her understand that he’s gone, only good memories left, same with Kenobi after he learn Anakin was alive. Love this demonstration from Filoni
One of the best episodes of the series so far. I still have a lot of unanswered questions as to who and what exactly happened but very enjoyable nonetheless.
Ariana Greenblat, the girl who played Young Asohka is kind of dominating right now, every role she gets is incredible. Also going back and watching the first and second fight between Anikin and Asohka the emotion of the fights are so different.
I like to think Ahsoka realy was in the world between worlds, and she realy did meet Anikin there, who came to give her closure, to let go of the guilt she carried for leaving her master and the path he took. You can tell she feels lighter after that experience, she smiles more, and ofcourse shes wearing the white.
To tell a whole story you need to know all of the pieces. Yes I would love a scene between Ashoka and Sabine when things were good, or even to of seen a flash back to when Sabine probably blew up at Ashoka for not letting her go to her family. Imagine that, Ashoka tells her to stay, and complete her training, convinces Sabine not to go the way of Luke, and Luke's worst nightmare in Sabine comes true. Because she wasn't there, she couldn't even have a chance to save her family. So she is distraught, she is angry, she is hurt and upset at Ashoka, because she can't handle all of this pain. You know Ashoka is feeling a bit of guilt in not letting Sabine go, but also knowing had she, Sabine would be dead. Most likely. However, all of the previous episodes have been laying the foundation, and giving us hints at things. Mainly that Ashoka has been depressed, guilt ridden, and diminished. Now she has faced all of that, and of her greatest defeat, she will rise and become the Jedi she was always meant to be. After a line people I think will skip over is when Ashoka suggests that Jacen go onto her ship, and he is like "i've seen a starship before.' Ashoka leans down. "A Jedi's starship?" Remember, for a very long time now Ashoka has renounced the Jedi, and being one. However, all her life's journey has led her to being A JEDI. Clone Wars, Rebels, the Ashoka Novel, which is a great read, all of this hasn't taken her away from being a Jedi as much as she may have wanted to, but has taught her to be one of the Greatest of the Jedi. In EU, in particularly the Old Republic, the Force itself has been as much of a teacher to some Jedi, if not more than an actual Jedi Master could have been. Its funny when you laugh at it, saying we just needed patience to see the whole arc, but that is exactly what was needed. We in todays age, feel so much ownership and want different things from Star Wars, that we've forgotten that we are the audience. And when someone that truly gets it like Dave Filoni, and John Favereau, that we need to sit back and let them tell us the whole story. Because despite many of our ages. We are acting like impatient children, and wanting to know the ending without seeing the Journey that gets us there. This doesn't excuse things that disney has done, at all. But Dave Filoni has not let us down. In my opinion. Even the "filler" episodes of Clone Wars, and Rebels still added to the over all affect that led us to love both Series as whole.
All the flashbacks are from Clone Wars. The very first is Teth, their first mission together, then jumps to Ryloth with the wounded, where Ahsoka didn't listen to Anakin and her orders got clones killed. The last is the Seige of Mandalore, when Maul took over Mandalore. Ahsoka, who left the Jedi Order earlier, returned to lead Rex (now Commander Rex), and the 332nd Company (a group of troopers dedicated to Ahsoka with orange and white helmets) take back Mandalore, which happens in tandem with Revenge of the Sith, and a few days before order 66
I love the fact that we see Anakin post vader, like yep he's gone back to the light, it's so satisfying. We need more Anakin man, I wanna see more of Hayden. He's amazing.
18:37 This scene and fight here remind me a bit of the death from the "Puss in Boots: The last Wish" movie. Death as Anakin, trying to claim her life but she beats him and he therefore lets her go.
Just so you know in Star Wars rebels it’s mentioned that Sabine’s ancestor was the only mandalorian to make it into the Jedi order and he was the one that made the dark saber. So she is the ancestor to a Jedi from about 2000 years ago
Loved this episode that really was Anakin if that was just in her head Jacen wouldn't able to hear Ahsoka and Anakin fight she was having a near death experience the world between worlds seems to be where the force ghosts reside
I think she was in the Star map. If had looked behind her you’d see the same illustrations that were shown on the map when it was projected. It did seat itself into her hand.
Fans are lucky Hayden is so forgiving of the same fans who bullied and mocked him. The one thing you can count on fans for is being jerks to actors. Jake Lloyd, Ahmed Best, Hayden, Kelly Tran...just a nonstop pattern
The wooden acting of both Hayden and Natalie Portman (combined with the absurd dialogue) in the Prequels justified some of that mockery. Having characters like Jar Jar added rancid icing to the overcooked cake.
This show is epic! If this is part of what is leading to Filoni's Mandoverse film, I can't wait! This was so cinematic, so well thought out and portrayed, I'm just blown away. Those that were lucky enough to see it in the special theater screenings got their money's worth, and then some! So jealous, but happy for them!
This episode WIPES any previous content Disney has produced like wow I could even and honestly say it beats quite a lot of the prequel stuff too OMFG!!!! Faloni is a fucking genius I had tears in my eyes from the shear EPICNESS of Ahsoka episode 5 and just seeing Hayden use his classic form 3 when he fought Ahsoka was insane🤩🤩🤩😩😩
The Clone Wars flashbacks were things she still felt guilt over. The first was her loosing a bunch troops because of bad judgment call. The 2nd was her feeling guilty for being at the Siege of Mandalore instead of with Anakin. She feels it’s partly her fault that he turned to the dark side. The flashbacks weren’t scene for scene the same but were actual events that happened
Wow! Such an absolutely awesome episode! In Dave Filoni we trust! This was Ahsoka's cave scene like Luke's. Which kinda took place in the World Between Worlds setting! Anakin was teaching her that she needs to choose life! Even when loss is involved! That's why Ahsoka in this series has been kind of cold up to this point. Dave Filoni said that her arc is very similar to Gandalf, she evolved from Grey to White. That's why her outfit changed! When Anakin told Ahsoka he was more than that.... so is she..... loved it!! Great reaction guys! Nikki you and Steven need to watch Clone Wars! It will fill your heart.... and brake it at the same time!

The fact that Jacen could hear lightsabers certainly makes me think it was definitely the real World Between Worlds.
I believe the particular scene from Clone Wars was from the Battle of Ryloth. New content but fit into the story previously seen.
Rex is in Rebels, and is said at the end of Rebels to be a white haired, bearded commando we see with Han, Luke, and Leia on Endor.
the way he mater of factly said " trust me, you lost" cracked me up
The scenes with Anakin and Ahsoka where phenomenal

I straight up got chills. Teared up a few times this episode. Hayden is so damn good, he stole and ate up every scene he was in. Happy he’s finally getting the respect and praise he deserves. By far the best episode of the series.
I really hope that he sees these reactions, I know that Jon sent to some to Mark after Mando season 2 finale.
Agreed!
Now hopefully star wars fans will stop bullying actors because they disliked the performance or character. Its what star wars fans are best at unfortunately
Hayden finally got to flex completely without George holding him back.
seeing hayden reprise his role gives the same nostalgia vibes as the when the og spidermen showed up in no way home
I thought she was familiar😊
No wonder she looked familiar!!! from green to orange, i wonder which color she'll do next lol!
Was just about to type this. She's got quite a resume at just 16.
Looking forward to next episode. I had guess that the space whales would help some how after episode 4.

Anakin has Mastered both the Light and Dark side of the force. Thus bringing "Balance to the Force"
He is the father.
@@warheartwarheart5389 Nah fam, that's all cap.
@@warheartwarheart5389 Lucas never said any of this 💀💀
@@warheartwarheart5389cap
I love the transition from Anakin to Vader back to Anakin.
It was Mando that got me to fall in love with Star Wars and watch the other shows. But I’d already seen the movies several years previously.
@samsonk.167I thought the same thing LMAO I was about to get hyped
I was 21 in 08 when that hit theatres, I'm now 36
I’m in the same boat except I didn’t finish the clone wars series until a few years ago. I remembered hating Ashoka bc I thought that only Jedi masters could have padawans until I found out that wasn’t true. Her character has grown on me
I’ll be shocked if we don’t get Anakin as a full on force ghost before the end of the season. So happy for Hayden right now!
Me too, he finally got to flex without George holding him back. There’s more dialogue from Hayden from trailers so we know he hopefully appears again.

Dude, Huyang is a mood in any scene he is in
@@johans3164 I mean true.
16:22, well she played young Gamorra. And Andor's sister. She's the goto flashback girl.
Anakin was 19 when Ahsoka became his apprentice.
@@yetibeardson1168it’s possible, but the world between worlds in rebels actually pulled someone in before
@@mrcheese5383 Not only that, but Ezra used it to time travel in Rebels, the way I see it it’s both The Afterlife and a Time Machine helping someone like Ahsoka deal with unresolved issues.
Not only Jacen, but under his guidance, Hera sensed it as well, enough to spur on the search.
When she said "I wont fight you" and Anakin said "I have heard that before" kinda shows its not in her head
Lmao lowkey making a Lotr reference 🤣
LotR reference in a good way
What I find interesting is Anakin finally obtained the power to save people he cared about from dying. And the line,
“You’re never too old to learn Snips.”
Anakin learning that the Jedi Order’a too old policy was flawed. And him hearing that before was a nice call back to when Luke said he won’t fight him in Episode 6.
This is by far the best star wars live action stuff we have gotten in a while
Season 1/2 of the mandalorian, Andor, and this episode have been some of the best star wars put to screen
Andor is awesome and not that long ago.
why ratings so low then? Another flop. face it the world is tired of mediocre star wars shows!

The siege of Mandalore in clone wars was such a good arc
Felt like Anakins disassociation of his actions by blaming vader for everything was finally put to bed by this episode.
Disappointing 'Ahsoka' Viewership Spells Trouble!
You copied and pasted your comment on another vid. No hate I just noticed it
The first flashback took place during the Battle of Ryloth, which was covered on the _Clone Wars_ show, although that specific scene wasn't.
I finally got to watch this last night and now I get to watch all of you react just as I did. Such badass joy!

If he ends up at Luke's academy
@@NikkiStevenReact obviously this could happen which would be bad. I think that’s the beauty of what Dave is setting up. We are going to travel between galaxies, leaving our current galaxy and all its future entanglements behind.
I know nothing about The world between worlds but I don't think that's only in Ahsoka's head... remember Jacen heard them fighting, even Hera.
That episode was EVERYTHING!!! Hayden is amazing

I think it's possible. And doesn't bother me if that's the case. However personally I kind of like the idea that it was all in her head more just because it becomes a literal battle of ones emotions, just using Anakin as the figurative as well as literal personification of her unresolved trauma. It’s definitely the real world between worlds. Whether that was the force, the daughter, or Anakin guiding her might be open to interpretation though. My interpretation is that it was Anakin who after his episode 6 redemption is now properly taking the Father’s place because he’s the chosen one.

That first scene with them was the battle of Ryloth. Early season 1 of Clone Wars. This was a master class of cinema. Absolutely stunning

Appa got comedic timing
She WAS in the World Between Worlds. Great reaction!
The flashback scene with young Snips reminded me so much of the scene in Avengers Infinity War when we saw young Gamora inside the soul stone. The whole sequence in the world between worlds was nothing less than astounding. Hayden Christensen deserves to be in more projects.

I think she was in the world between worlds because Jacen heard the lightsabers. Great reaction💖

Anakin: I haven't taught you how to fall
"But its better than going nowhere." is such an Anakin line..I can totally imagine Ani saying that to Obi Wan...Filoni is killing it with this show

Clone Wars is PEAK Star Wars animated content, it's truly EPIC.
Ezra is the logical choice to be Jacen's master
Can Dave just write the new SW movie. I mean the dude knows what we want. Great ep and reaction.
He'll be doing a movie in the next 5/6 years once they build all this up a bit more in the series.
he is a hack! Horrible!
Hera is an incredible mother she didnt hesitate to listen when jason told her to listen to the waves ❤
One of the best episodes of the series so far. I still have a lot of unanswered questions as to who and what exactly happened but very enjoyable nonetheless.
Have you seen rebels and clone wars?
Big shout out to young Ariana Greenblatt. Will be fun to watch her career as time goes by.
I went from thinking episode 1&2 were boring and losing interest, too not being able to wait every Tuesday for this show ! This episode was awesome!
Even the "filler" episodes of Clone Wars, and Rebels still added to the over all affect that led us to love both Series as whole.
me when i have no media literacy skills
The interaction between Ashoka and Anakin was perfect and that purrgil sequence at the end was magical :) Best episode yet :)
Just so you know in Star Wars rebels it’s mentioned that Sabine’s ancestor was the only mandalorian to make it into the Jedi order and he was the one that made the dark saber. So she is the ancestor to a Jedi from about 2000 years ago
Clan Wren was just a vassal of House Visla, the two Clans were not actually related.
@@Nandrall18-25 vassal houses typically intermarry with their liege Lord house. Given 2000 years of history, almost certainly.
The World Between Worlds wasn't a figment of her imagination. That was Anakin.
Ahsoka: "I won't fight you." Anakin: "I've heard that before."
Loved this episode that really was Anakin if that was just in her head Jacen wouldn't able to hear Ahsoka and Anakin fight she was having a near death experience the world between worlds seems to be where the force ghosts reside
Toughts are also part of the Force! Master Jedi can sence conflict within other Jedi! Maybe Jacen has the power to sence the conflict within ppl!
@@bullwyrkI guess but the episode made it pretty obvious that it was actually Anakin and not just a vision.
@@jimmylopez433 can you tell me when it made it that clear?
@@bullwyrkso the kid can sense conflict and hear “lightsabers clashing” lol and so can the mom? What?!
@@angelbedolla347 Well that can be explained by the force arround the kid influencing Hera. 😁
Just realized young Ahsoka, also played young Gamora. She's a little badass.
And the teen daughter in Barbie
I pictured Ahsoka talking to the starwhales like Dory in Finding Nemo. 😂😂
I think she was in the Star map. If had looked behind her you’d see the same illustrations that were shown on the map when it was projected. It did seat itself into her hand.
Amazing episode! Full body chills! Young Ahsoka is played by the same actress who played young Gamora ❤
One of my favourite Star Wars episodes ever, it’s very good. So far this show as a whole has been amazing too.
Steven expression was everything
He is so 😁 funny.. during the fight scene.
Your love for Star Wars shines throughout your reactions. The end analysis, as always, was on point. Great stuff guys!
Appreciate it. When it’s good, Star Wars is so much fun
