      I completely understand your ott reactions for video BUT if you watch it constructively instead of rose tinted glasses, you will see the writing and action scenes are abysmal. There are soooo many holes in the scenes it is ridiculous. It really isn't very good, it's a shame because I lov3d Filonis Rebels as a series. Unfortunately he isn't a very good live action writer.

    What a love letter to Anakin Skywalker. It makes you wish we could get more wise, powerful, and compassionate Anakin. I got emotional hearing Ahsoka tell Sabine that Anakin was always there for her. Always on her side. It hurts because that was who Anakin Skywalker was. He gave everything he had for the people he loved. Yet, when he needed someone... He got a Sith Lord pretending to be someone he could lean on. It's not fair... Wonderful series and can't wait for any more that we might get. In regards to Sabine being able to work with the Force, I find it fitting that it was during the fight. She gave herself to the Force in a dire moment. No want for tricks. No brute force tactics. No blaster. Just a full on "I'm trusting in the Force fully to get me out of this" and I think that is what the series has been showing us with Sabine. That, until the moment she pulled the saber to her, she wasn't fully embracing the Force but, rather, treating it like a homework assignment when it required so much more. Love it. Loved the series. Loved the reactions. So good.

    Fun fact regarding Morgan Elsbeth's actress, Diana Lee Inosanto..... In relation to her fight scenes, I have a feeling that was her doing the choreo herself. Apparently, she has a background in martial arts and has previously worked as a stuntwoman. Also, apparently, her godfather was *_Bruce Lee_* , with her father having been one of his students.

      @@IRLSuperbLuke grew up not believing in the Force (“that’s your uncle talking”) and, even in the presence of the great Yoda, was obstinate about what was possible.
      Sabine spent years alongside an actual Jedi and witnessed innumerable feats and wonders beyond any moisture farmboy’s dreams.
      Belief is a core component of Force skill. It’s not a video game stat, though practice is certainly helpful.
      Young Luke’s lack of belief was weighted by his impression the capabilities of the Force itself.
      Sabine’s belief has no such weight. Her only block was belief in herself. And that block had already been removed.
      Time and time again, new practitioners of Force skills are themselves forced to exceed their training in times of need; to dig deeply and outperform their practice. Luke in the trench run, Luke in the wampa cave, Rey in the first duel, Kanan atop the fuel tank, and so on.
      Moreover, they are on a Force-rich planet.
      Sabine’s Force push is entirely plausible and, as with so much else, shouldn’t be measured against a reluctant believer’s journey on Dagobah whose mind was never on where he was or what he was doing. For hers was very much in the moment, after years of training, and buoyed by both the necessities of the situation and the belief her friends had in her.
      (People need to stop using Luke as a metric if they’re going to ignore his mental state.)

    I think what makes Thrawn v Ezra great is that Thrawn is a planning genius while Ezra is an adaptive genius (as is Ahsoka). So Thrawn plans for their improvisations, but can never plan for everything they might do. The last three episodes are basically Thrawn stalling the Jedi, feeding them small batches of forces piecemeal to buy time and let their improvisations play out, let them win as they are so likely to.

    I've seen a lot of "Here's why Ahsoka is terrible" videos, and I feel like people are missing the emotional core of this show. It's not perfect, it does have flaws, but they nail the emotional growth and connections. Anakin to Ahsoka, Ahsoka to Sabine. They do a great job of comparing and contrasting the two master/apprentice relationships.

    • @deanthemachine7489
      @deanthemachine7489 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Somewhat ironically I think the emotional moments are the weakest part of the show. Most of the writing and directing (I know these actors are talented) comes across fairly flat and dispassionate. The dialogue is clunky, but that isn’t totally unusual for Star Wars, but usually the characters infuse energy, but everything is delivered like the actors are on Ambien. You can see the bones of what could (with better writing) have been a much deeper emotional story for Sabine, Ezra, and Ahsoka (all child soldiers who now have to adjust to living in a time of peace), but it’s all kind of handwaved or rushed. For example: Ezra was trapped on a planet with no one that spoke Basic for a *DECADE* (longer than he was with the Ghost crew), but he could have just been on a summer vacation for the emotional impact it had. The idea that anyone can use the Force is fine, but *why* did Sabine seek out Ahsoka to become a Jedi? She’s already a badass Mandalorian. What was the emotional beat that informs why she’d make that choice? It’s sort of glossed over with “Ahsoka stopped training her because she wanted revenge for her parents dying”, but why start in the first place then? It’s just clumsy

  • @davidkeye9334
    @davidkeye9334 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

    Didn't bother me about Sabine being able to push Ezra. Once you unlock the connection, it flows, so it just took her finally tapping into it. With more training, she'll be able to do more.

    Thinking back, the events of Sabine's journey in the Force parallels Luke's in a lot of ways. Late to know about it, had to learn to focus using a blaster visor to learn to feel with the Force, and the first real physical manipulation we see on screen is pulling their lightsaber to them when in danger (her with the zombie trooper, Luke with the Wampa). I'd expect that now that she's been able to actually manipulate it, we'll see a Yoda/Luke style training montage.

    As much as I loved the undead night troopers; something that was even cooler for me was that most of them seemingly aren't dead...they are just hardened and fanatical after years of exile; hence they are fine to sacrifice themselves as a way for the witchcraft to work. That's how an imperial remnant should be; hardcore beyond reason

    Awsome reaction like always, Love this finale the fights between the Night Troopers are awsome and it was emotinal seeing sabine helping Ezra got on to the ship with the force, can't wait for season 2. And Baylan is planning something, and he’s usually step ahead of everyone. There’s clearly something on Peridea that Baylan needs. He spoke to Shin about seeking “the beginning,” and a power that will allow him to end the cycle of conflict and bloodshed that’s been driving the galaxy for millennia i think Baylan plan is destroying the force becouse this show been hinting at KOTOR (Knights Of the Old Republic Game) since the beginning, Baylan in the episode 6 said something about a calling to him that he was tired of ideia of the jedi and the empire, thats recalls to me to a character in the game called Traya’s she does not want to merely turn one Jedi to the dark side, or even to rule the galaxy. Her goal is nothing less than the total and utter destruction of the Force. To Kreia, the Force itself is inherently evil. It rules the galaxy on a whim, orchestrating wars on a monolithic scale, leaving trillions to die in the crossfire over the millennia. She uses the events that nearly destroyed Malachor to make her point. Just in the prior fifteen years, the Force, acting mainly through the Jedi and Sith, has taken this series of bloody, convoluted steps to “balance” the galaxy. (But i guess that wont happen becouse of the passing of Ray Stevenson) hope that Shin Hati pick up where Baylan left) And The Mortis Gods was a huge reveal. The Father represented balance. and originally wanted Anakin Skywalker to replace him. The Son represented the Dark side and the Daughter represented the light. The Daughter gave her life to save Ahsoka's life which may be why her statue was destroyed, although it's surmised that the owl that seems to always follow Ahsoka around may be the spirit of the Daughter. There was also a Mother who represented chaos and was banished. I think the prevailing theory is that it's the Mother, the personification of chaos, who is calling to Baylan Skoll Lets see if my theory is currect.
    And Overall, this series had two functions: Ahsoka’s character journey and bringing Thrawn back to the galaxy. As someone who is a die-hard believer that character development is plot, this is plenty for me, but I understand if there are people who wants more than that. And We have to remember that there’s still another series, Skeleton Crew, to come in the Mandoverse before we get the complete conclusion of Filoni and Jon Favreau’s overarching story. Keep up the amazing work.

    I'm guessing how the story left off they are going to have to recast Baylan's character. The actress that is playing Morgan has been practicing martial arts since she was a little girl her father trained with Bruce Lee and Bruce Lee was her Godfather So I'm guessing that really is her performing the stunts.

Seeing how he was on a statue of the father and there was a painting of the father, son and daughter to access the world between world on lothal, it's possible it has somethilg to do with it and this is how ahsoka and sabine will go back in their galaxy

    • @AngeloBarovierSD
      @AngeloBarovierSD 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      *many of the stunts.
      It’s absolutely not her for all of it. These days, you wouldn’t unnecessarily put a featured actor in peril of injury, even if only to preserve the shooting schedule.
      Disney Plus series are not Mission Impossible movies (and even Tom Cruise got injured and slowed production).
      Moreover, you can tell the moments when it’s not her face, even though they did a decent job of concealing it in the blocking and framing.
      She’s still amazing, but it would be unwise to let her do high speed stuff or the falls and drops. And I’ll bet she would be happy to mentor her own stunt double, and give work to one of the most underappreciated professions in the industry.

    22:42 I expected Baylan to stand in front of a Zepho statue there at the end but didn't expect to see the Wills: the Father, Son and Daughter. Baylan mights still be unknowingly searching for the Zepho but maybe with those statues there, there might instead or also be a connection to the world between worlds and/ or to Abeloth (who was "The Mother" and bringer of chaos in legends I think) as well.

  • @doctor8342
    @doctor8342 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Season 2 synopsis. The Mother (Abeloth) was banished to this planet turns out she was a Nightsister or the original Nightsister its where they draw their power from, Baylon empowered by the Mother after finding her has to fight Ahsoka and Sabine, Shin then turns to the lightside taking up Ahsoka's offer and helps Ahsoka and Sabine along with some big assist from Anakin to defeat Baylon and the Mother, since this place is connected to the Mortis gods there is a portal here to the world between worlds, now that they are all force sensitive (assuming you have to be force sensitive to use the world between worlds since we haven't seen anyone else in it) Ahsoka, Sabine, and Shin go through it to get home. They keep talking about how old Huyang is and that comes into play because its going to be like 100 years before he can fly home but thats not a long time to him given he's thousands of years old already.
    I wonder who they are going to replace Ray Stevenson with though.

    I am pretty sure there was a lot more involved with Baylan's story but they cut it all out and just gave him that one final scene to sum it all up in the best way possible and give him a proper send off. Given Ray's sad and untimely death, I feel like this leaves it in a place where they could end his story and not have to leave a bunch unsaid. If anything, he may have left a message for Shin to follow in his footsteps in the next season (which I hope there is one before the movie). RIP Ray. You were a treasure to this series.

    I can't believe they brought Undead Troopers to live action. Makes sense though, pretty sure Dave Filoni played SWG and that was a big event in the game. They sort of redid it by making it Dathomir Magic turning them into zombies rather than a bio-weapon but, still. Makes sense with the whole ship being named Eye of Sion, Marrok's deal, all of it. Also the red bindings of rope on the armor make more sense now stylistically. In traditional depictions the Undead Stormtroopers are pretty torn up and they can't exactly show gore so. What gives the impression of desiccation and necrosis from an exterior perspective? Red rope. I'm sure there is also some cultural parallels they were going for.
